Chapter ONE Picking your domain. So we are going to start from the very beginning. And I gonna to take you through this things step by step by step. Is that sound good to you. You know I have surveyed my list and hundred of thousands of people and vast majority of those people did not earn money on-line whatsoever. Because they are overwhelmed. They do not know what to do first, second, third and so forth in the right order which is so important. And most of those people do not even have own website and they don't know how to put up simple landing page. Of course How they can earn money if they do not know the basic staff? So if you are in that category I have got great news for you. In this module you gonna walk through all this things in the very step by step process. And hopefully we completely remove the overwhelmed and frustration and confusion at the end of the equation. So if you do not have website if you do not know all this technical staff this module is for you. OK? If you are a someone advanced and you know how to do this staff -Great, no problem, you can move into the next stage. But if you want to learn how to get in domain, how to setup your hosting, how to put up your website, how to optimise everything, how to link everything together, how to get your autoresponder linked to landing page and actually How to put everything on line, building your list, getting leads, than you really need to pay very close attention. So here is what I gonna do? This first video we are gonna start up by show you how to get a domain name, some good treks, some good tips, how to buy domain name? What to look for, how to get a keyword rich domain name, form whatever do you want to get it to promote. OK? So my buddy Frank who is our company's designer, he is gonna walk this through, and show you and tell you How to pick up the domain name and what to do there in that category. What is the fun is you will stand behind his shoulder and watch in his computer screen while he will do this staff on his computer. So that will be fun. So as I said this is Frank.

Hello everyone, this is Frank from HTA. This video is part of A to Z of landing pages. Today we are going to cover what is the domain name and its connection to a URL. We will also cover how to have keyword rich domain name. OK? So let us jump right to this. Folks domain name. What is a domain name? Domain names are used to identify one or more IP addresses. For example, the domain name microsoft.com represents about a dozen IP addresses. Domain names are used in URLs to identify particular Web pages. For example, in the URLhttp://www.pcwebopedia.com/index.html, the domain name ispcwebopedia.com. Every domain name has a suffix that indicates which top level domain (TLD) it belongs to. There are only a limited number of such domains. For example: •gov - Government agencies •edu - Educational institutions •org - Organizations (nonprofit) •mil - Military •com - commercial business •net - Network organizations •ca - Canada •th - Thailand Because the Internet is based on IP addresses, not domain names, every Web server requires a Domain Name System (DNS) server to translate domain names into IP addresses. Branded Domains Your brand is very important to you and is the cornerstone of everything you do as a business. It is seen on your website, stationery, business cards, invoices, etc. You’re working hard to establish your brand. So why wouldn’t you use that for your domain name as well? There are some good reasons why you should: •It is easy to remember •It is short •It keeps your brand in front of the customer •It looks more professional •It further establishes your brand and maintains consistency. It is a fairly safe bet to go with your name or business name for your domain. There are many successful examples of this such as Twitter, Facebook and Google. There are, however, circumstances when having a keyword rich domain can help.

Everyone that enters into Internet world basically have to have an address. For people to find you, people to know where you are. And just like google.com, yahoo.com these ere domain names. So when your get yours domain dot com that is your domain name. So instead of having a bunch of numbers like goggles IP where I am. Googles IP appears 216.239.51.99 the first unit is a lot easier to remember Google dot com. So that is what it is. A domain. Your domain dot com. So now you have your domain name, you need to have hosting. OK? What is a hosting? A service provider that offers shared hosting or dedicated hostingof a service or services to customers. Hosting services are most often used for hosting Web sites but can also be used for hosting files, images, games and similar content. In the case of Web site hosting services, there are three main types of hosting available: 1) Shared Web hosting, where a large number of Web sites are typically housed on the same server; 2) Dedicated Web hosting, where an entire server is leased and reserved for a single Web site; and 3) Virtual Private Server hosting, a hybrid of the first two options in which a Web site is hosted on its own virtual server so that it won't be affected by the Web sites of other customers. See All About Web Site Hosting in the Did You Know...? section of Webopedia.

We will cover hosting in the separate video. Hosting is how I like it to say It refers to house. So people actually can have your address but if you do not have a house people do not recognise where it is? So you need to have your housing or hosting so you can start storing pages, you can start storing what you want people to see in your domain in your love area. All right? So we will cover that in the another video. So. But what is the URL? A uniform resource locator, abbreviated as URL (also known as web address, particularly when used with HTTP), is a specificcharacter string that constitutes a reference to a resource. In most web browsers, the URL of a web page is displayed on top inside anaddress bar. An example of a typical URL would be "http://en.example.org/wiki/Main_Page". A URL is technically a type of uniform resource identifier (URI), but in many technical documents and verbal discussions, URL is often used as a synonym for URI, and this is not considered a problem.[1] URLs are commonly used for web pages (http), but can also be used for file transfer (ftp), email (mailto) and many other applications (see URI scheme for list).

Basically a URL when you up-grown your house and it will become a big apartment building that has different locations. You have different rooms. You have this room where you have your landing pages and you want to separate this from another room. So basically a URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. So your resource for example stands on the first floor and room 3B so you give them a URL http://yourdomain.com/3floor/room3B.html so that is a URL. All right? Let us jump up into a next topic which is The keyword rich domain searching. What is a Keyword Rich Domain Searching? Keyword Rich Domains If you are a marketer and are trying to attract attention for a very specific keyword or phrase, purchasing a domain with that keyword or phrase to use for your landing page can be very effective. Once they have arrived at your landing page you can then direct them to your main site as the keyword rich domain has done its job. If you use the keyword in your business name, such as mine Maple Moon Web Design Inc, you can have the keyword and your brand in the domain, so it’s both a keyword rich domain and a branded one – the best of both worlds! If you are actually marketing a product rather than a brand, i.e. the product you sell already has a brand, such as an MLM company. Search engines have in the past placed some emphasis on keyword rich domains so from that point of view it may improve your rankings but take a look at the video below form Google’s Matt Cutts, where he explains that Google may be moving away from that emphasis. Matt emphasizes that Google is ready to experiment mixing up the old and new signals in their algorithm and see its impact on the evaluation of a website, having received criticism for the unfair bias keyword rich domains have received previously.

I usually use a resource here called www.WebConFS.com . OK?

This resources basically it helps and suggest a rich keyword domain names. Rich keywords domain names helps a lot of an it is an important factor of search engine optimisation. For example I would like to “have on-line traffic in the domain that I would like to buy. OK? Let us insert this one. So that we can do a search. All right? Submit. Now on the next page where usually show me a bunch of URLs or what do I mean a bunch domain names.

There are available or not available. Here is the list of all the domain names with the words I chosen. That is keyword So that is the list and there are the key words and the results of people they are looking for this domain name all right? And the status of the domain as you can see the most of them are not available any more.

Well this is why this takes a lot of creativity and imagination to come up with very good domain names because one word, two word or even three words top domains are not available. So what I do? I usually just take for example like this: IncreaseOnlineTraffic.com I like the sound this three words together. So what I do is I will pay around wit it. I will go to www.GoDaddy.com I use Godady.com for search for that domains are avalaible or not. So I will do with that word I will do play around it. For example I put Traffic in the beginning instead.

So I would like to see if TrafficIncreaseOnline.com is available. Right? Is that even make senseTrafficIncreaseOnline.com? Let us see if it is available? All right as you can see TrafficIncreaseOnline.com is available just for $11.99 OK?

So again if something is not available then play around with it. Go back again and try That is already taken. What about this one? There we go onlinetrafficincrease.com is also available. You see what I just mean. You have just creatively moving those words around and that will help you. OK? All right. So before you go any further quick wake up, pit stop. If you are follow in along the first thing you have to do is come up with the cool domain name. So go on those two websites mentioned in this video and brainstorm yourselves and find a cool domain name for wherever you gonna it to use to promote. The only thing I would like to tell you is you are promoting How to earn money on-line: product, services or business opportunity an e-book or whatever. Right. If you promoting a niche which is talking about how to make money on-line, your domain has to gonna match that you are gonna promoting. Is that make sense for you. I know it is just basic staff. It is a common sense staff. It is very elementary staff. But I have seen so many people for examples promoting how to make many on-line products and they have a domain name which they bought from some MLM company like five years ago and it was talking about how to lose weight. So get yourselves a cool domain name.

For example, you might be a web hosting plan with 128 kbps of bandwidth for a maximum monthly data transfer of roughly 40 GB. Note: many hosts use the terms bandwidth and data transfer interchangeably, referring to the monthly data allowance as bandwidth.

Definition and Purpose of an SSL Certificate By Tiara Rea, SSL--secure socket layer---certificates are an important part of a business or ecommerce website and are necessary for protecting consumer, personal and financial information passed from one computer to another. SSL Certificate Warranty ExplainedSSL Certificate Warranty ExplainedSSL Certificate DefinitionSSL Certificate Definition An SSL or Secure Socket Layer is a piece of coding that, when added to any website, protects and secures the information on that website. It is used primarily for ecommerce and business websites, to ensure that customers' financial and personal information is transmitted securely between one computer and another. Types: There are two main types of SSL certificates: shared and dedicated. A shared SSL is shared among several websites on a single server and is usually included free through a web hosting provider. A dedicated SSL offers a warranty and a lock icon to brand your website as secure and safe to shop on. Benefits: Having an SSL certificate installed on your website not only offers protection against the fraudulent transfer of financial information but ensures customers that your website is safe to shop on. The lock icon that comes with any paid SSL is a necessary part of any business or ecommerce website.

We should shortly be receiving an email from them basically with all detail: how you can access your account and how to access your control panel.

7.

C panel Overview In this chapter we will discuss cPanel overview. Basically it is what is a control panel of your hosting. Last time we receive this email from Hostgator.

Basically it is a simply email how to acess into your hosting and your control panel. So for this lesson we are going to use two different samples of control panel system from Hostgator or from Hostmonster. Both of them are from the top twelve of the hosting companies for 2012. Basically As you can see they are pretty much identical. Of course because they are using the same software and they just personalize it according to they needs.

GoDaddy does not have the same software and it is actually pretty confusing one. Not very user friendly. So cPanel has become standard for basically manipulating and managing your hosting.

So OK. Let us go through a little bit of each of them. Host Gator has a pretty simplify version of the cPanel. There are some missing tabs on the top for easy access to sections you hosting with them. HostMonster has pretty simple and clear options of what is available for you for example: Domain Manager is on the top directly.

Hostmonster has pretty cool and comprehensive system of management all you domains from one place wit one single interface. You can check what kind of system is used for this particular domain. If you would like to transfer it there is a transfer notice, etcetera. OK. Let us look at them individually. So here you have your email panel from where you can create your email accounts. It is very important to use your professional email. It makes it more looks professional or email being send from free service gmail or yahoo email account. All right? There is a file management. We will cover it in another chapter.

How to upload and manage all your file on your website. How to create FTP account. So you can do an FTP (File Transfer Protocol). File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard Internet protocol for transmitting files between computers on the Internet. Like the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), which transfers displayable Web pages and related files, and the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), which transfers e-mail, FTP is an application protocol that uses the Internet's TCP/IP protocols. FTP is commonly used to transfer Web page files from their creator to the computer that acts as their server for everyone on the Internet. It's also commonly used to download programs and other files to your computer from other servers.

So click into Email Account . You can create your own account wit your domain.

Pretty much the same is in Hostmonster

You can have unlimited emails. So that is an overview how cPanels looks like. So cPanel shows you the way to manage your hosting for all your domain you have now and for all in the future. Thank you for joining me with this quick overview. Next we well cower How to report the name servers to your domain and to your hosting so they can be connected. OK? Thank you very much. This is Paul from MARKETER.TODAY

Keeping Hosting Records. Hi folks this is Paul from Marketer ABC this module is a part of ABC of landings pages. Today we are going to talk about keeping records. How important it is. Especially if your business on-line grows and more details you have. So let us go right to it. Basically it is very, very important to keep records of everything. I will try to discuss it a little bit. Record keeping is often neglected. Very much. Make sure to pay your bills on time or your domain name registration will lapse and your hosting provider will take you odd the air – in this case the Internet cloud. Those logins you need – to make sure you are getting paid all of the affiliate income you are owed – will mysteriously vanish and the money you need to cover your domain and hosting costs will not arrive in bank. Check you have recorded – either written down and/or electronically recorded if that is your thing(just make sure you are 100% confident you will not lose your records/files) somewhere safe, reliable and retrievable. Your web hosting accounts: who, when, with what details and the renewal dates. Do not let a web-hosting account lapse without a good reason. If you do not have a full backup for your sites and they cleanse the server - Please avoid the : ( the LFF syndrome – Lost File Forever). Did you ever seen the person which lost all their file? And last but not least Keep your contact details (mainly your email address) up to date so you receive the remainders. OK. So there is an excel file that I use. You can download it. Update, change. It is up to you. This is sample of course of what I use personally to keep my hosting records. So as soon as you start your on-line business – remember KEEP UP YOUR RECORDS. And at the and you will be happy you do. The Importance of Record.

Name Server setup Welcome. Well, well, well. All right. So you have your domain, you have your hosting account. Awesome. Great job. So now is one thing you have to now and we have link them together. OK? In this chapter Paul is gonna show you exactly how to do it all right. Pay attention. Today we are going to discuss how to deploy the domain name that you have just bought to the host name server. Let me just recap what we discuss in previous chapter. We skip just there: If you hosting these domains elsewhere either up to 4 name servers below.

And we did not fill it because we do not bought hosting package from hosting company. So what we did we parked our domain name at Go Daddy. Bu after that procedure we received an email confirming that we bought or register the domain name. And they inform us how to log into account and manage our domain name. So everybody go to GoDaddy account. As soon as you log in go to Domains

Go to Management and Click Domain Management. If you have many They should list all of your domain names. I do not know How many you have. Here is just one because it is for people they just start up. You should have your domain here.

Click on it. It should open the details for that domain. All right? So here is the domain information. And right bellow that

are Nameservers. Right now it is pointing to my host already and yours should be now showing the host and Nameservers in GoDaddy because you never change it. So now we are going to email that you have from your host. Whether if will be A or B hosting. That should to be like thous. It shows you your control panel access, your user-name, domain name password.

And right bellow we can see Nameservers. That is what we need to GoDaddy .

And you can find Nameservers when you go into HostGator and scroll-down you will wee it.

Let us copy-paste and insert that from GoDaddy (domain name ) into HostGator (Host). Now you know how to Point Domains to your Host NameServers. Thank your for your attention. Just few technical skills. That will be very helpful in the future. See you in the next chapter.

Making your landing page.

So now things will be much more interesting. Let us see what we did so far? There are six tools that you gonna have to have we can start building a list and let us see what we did. (If you have been following me along). 1. Domain (Did you notice I start to use a red marker) 2. Hosting 3. bribe 4. OPT-IN 5. EMS/AResponder 6. TY (Thank you page)

And we have this two things linked together. So we have this part done. Right now we are gonna taking things to the next level. To a kind of the next stage of building this machine for you . All right? So next what we are gonna do is the google fashion landing-page. So you can put something online something that people can see, go to and opt-in and something that allow you to build your list. So pay close attention. Here is what will happen? Before we talk to about the bribe. Let me map out and tell me about landing page that we gonna use. Obviously if you are someone who is, you know, I do not to want senior, but someone who is experienced in online-marketing, you know how to create landing-pages, that probably be a kind of something basic for you. For majority of people this stuff will be very, very helpful. You see, what we can do. We try to keep things very, very simple. You know. Teaching you how to write HTML code and how to do all this design stuff. What can I do? I will give you a template of landing-page that is proven to convert over and over and over again really, really well. In different niches for different products. So all you have to do is is take the template and master it and use it for every product you like. So that will be really, really simple for you.

So now we are gonna map a landing page. And I am gonna to use multicolour markers. So here is how your landing-page can be structured? Headline. -This is big hook. And this is very, very important part of the landing-page. Just like 80 percent of your success of getting that conversion is gonna be in your headline. So you really have to brainstorm how to come out wit creative, really catchy headline that people can be hooked on. Than over there we gonna have this little arrow. And one on the bottom as well. And here we have got a space when you can enter your name. First name, last name and big one for email. So somebody can opt-in. And like you can see this landing page is gonna to have the video. Over here all right an there on the bottom a text with some benefits. And this layout is proven to convert over and over again really awesome. So this template you can customize for you and use it for every niche. Whatever product or service you will promoting out there this things works. Because what happens here you have traffic. You have traffic coming to your landing-page. And again we will be talking about how to make a lot a lot of traffic. But you need to have something on what you will send the traffic to. And in the next few lessons you will learn how to customize this template and make it your own.

Signing up with Icontact. See how easy it was? Nothing to it right. Pretty straight forward. Now, what ewer reason you are confused while watching last video whatever just simply go back and watch it again. If you want to do it several times especially if you have never do such thing ever before. Just watch it few times and it will be no problem to follow along and actually get this things done. So, what we have so far. We have got a domain name, we have hosting, we have opt-in page edited. Check it. The Bribe goes together, because when you create this you have to have a good idea what you will offer as a bribe-why are they going to write down, why would they opt in in your page. So Bribe and opt in goes together . OK. So, OK, Great. So we are trigger along. What we need next is we need this part here (sign in into opt-in page) activated. Right? So we need to be able to collect all those leads. This is the most important part. Now what Paul is gonna to show how to register and create an account with EMS (email management system).
