In a short span of time, a raft of ten institutions of India adopted the DELL (Diploma in English language and literature) course promoted by MMERC, most notably, Darul Uloom Deoband and Aligarh Muslim University, although the latter has given it a different shape. Later, he wanted to study further and specialize in English language. So he looked at institutions to apply for it, and finally MMERC’s diploma course, DELL, matched his interests and he applied there where he fortunately passed entrance test and got diploma certificate in the year 2000-2001. that he was able to successfully start an English Medium School, Abidah Public School, in the year 2010 in Jaunpur, India. The school syllabus is specially designed for Muslim students where deniyaat is the focus of the curriculum. It gave maulana some very good and dynamic experience of establishing and running an institution so as to provide quality education to the community in an Islamic atmosphere.

AUTHORED ENGLISH COURSE BOOKS (A SERIES OF STEPS TO IMPROVE ENGLISH) Besides administrative ability, maulana has shown his pedagogical skills by framing a series of course books in English for students of madrasas. These course books form part of the syllabus in Jamia Akkalkuwa, in its various branches and also in some other madrasas.

Maulana Shamsul Hoda has also given ample proof of his versatility by working on his academic goals. As part of these efforts, he has revised and annotated the book, Answer to Modernism, an English translation of an Urdu book, Al-IntebahatulMufeedah Anil-Ishtebahatil Jadeedah, authored by Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (ra). Writing is the true measure of a scholar and it is incumbent on those who have scholarly ambitions to bring their insights and discernment in the public eye. Towards this end, he authored various articles and got them published in various magazines, both in English and Urdu. After working as Head of the English Department in Darul Uloom Markaz-e-Islami, Ankleshwar, Gujarat, India from 2003-2007 he moved to Saudi Arabia. He put in a stint as a translator-cum-secretary in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the company, Raoom Trading Establishment and Raoom Glass Factory, in Buraidah during the period, 2007-2009. He is handling various administrative and academic tasks at the institution and his seniors have full trust in his ability to add value to the madrasa. MMERC hope that maulana will continue to blaze a trail of new heights in academic accomplishments in the years to come.
