concept statement Imagine walking into a split in the wall. PAUSE. Discover natural lights creating a playful interaction between the inside and out, the heavy and light.
The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which means “the place where water runs through rocks.”
form inspiration
above (left to right): LULL was inspired by the idea of entering into the earth’s crust, the cave Square pattern gradient on the wall was inspired by Eadweard Muybridge’s stop-motion photographs where one quick action is captured into several shots. This concept was used to help capture and slow our walk through the slot in the wall.

Thank you
Jen Silbert,, my professor who have given their time and energy in guiding me through this project. I would like to especially thank my dear friends and team members Ji A You and Scott Lee who have worked so hard and well as a team. It really had to be you guys to pull this project through! My family, for their unceasing support and prayers. I hope you enjoyed seeing my thought process throughout the projects. The step up from working in scale sizes to working in full scale, there were many unexpected trivials which surprised the team at the final stages of building the model. In all, this project has been an essential stepping stone to my design approach.
