BEFORE

Natural Base: 7-0

White/Grey: 0

Texture: Fine

Existing colour: pre-lightened ends with build-up of ash tone on the hair creating an uneven canvas.

Step 1

Hair is sectioned in to 4.

Step 2

Using fine back-to-back sliced foil application, working from the bottom up at the back, the roots are lightened using Pro-Tech Bleach 35g + Cream Developer 6% 70g up to the scalp. The Pro-Tech Bleach was remixed for each quarter of the head. This is then repeated on the sides.

Step 3

The product in the back sections was removed initially during development. Subsequently, Pro-Tech Bleach was applied to remove the residual previous tone on the mid-lengths and ends. This was achieved using a cleansing bleach bath composed of 35g Pro-Tech Bleach and 45mls warm water. The progress was visually monitored throughout.

Step 4

Prior to shampooing the hair pre mix NXT Metallics 10-11 40g + 10-12 15g + oxidising cream releaser 1.5% 55g and set to one side for 15 mins.

The hair was shampooed, towel dried and a porosity spray was applied to even out the cuticle condition in preparation for the colour application.

Step 5

Using the pre-mixed NXT Metallics this was applied to the hair, from roots to ends and processed for 20 mins. The product is removed using iQ Shampoo and Conditioner.

Step 6

The hair is styled using iQ root boost and finished with iQ hair serum.

■ iQ Intense Moisture Shampoo

■ iQ Intense Moisture Conditioner

To add a pink ombre to this look, we used NXT Metalic PINK and 40g Oxidising cream releaser 1.5%. This was applied to the under sections of the hair and processed for 20 minutes.
