With the only graduate program in cytology in the state of Arizona, you can help to improve patient outcomes through the early detection and diagnosis of diseases, including cancer. Learn microscopic analysis and sample preparation methods for multiple body systems and become familiar with lab operations and federal regulations. This program provides a focused, engaging and comprehensive curriculum that will prepare you to pass the American Board of Genetic Counseling certification exam upon completion.

Career opportunities as a genetic counselor in clinical care, research or a laboratory setting or as an industry-based genetic counselor. Genetic counselors can work in a variety of medical and scientific research-based settings as well as in private practice and academia.
