After earning a bachelor’s degree in special education and teaching from the University of South Florida, Shari Simpson taught children in the first and second grades for nearly 10 years in Florida and Georgia combined, and the empathetic sensibility that made her teaching career so rewarding is the same social intelligence that she brings to each real estate negotiation. She feels that the organized chaos of a classroom parallels living through all the moving parts of a transaction, and she is practiced at making the experience manageable for people by being the one thing that remains steady and centered.
Seeing her role as multi-faceted, Shari enjoys taking care of clients, doing whatever she can to reduce their stress and help them thrive and grow in the midst of transition. From taking care of small details to walking clients through the emotional parts of buying, selling and moving, her goal is to help buyers and sellers be excited about what happens in their next chapter, not only in terms of their house but also in their community. She has assisted in multiple relocations to Georgia, and as a former teacher, she has been known to introduce future friends as well as pick up on voids that children feel during moving, suggesting the perfect resources for hobbies and activities that help them flourish in a new place. For Shari, the most rewarding part of the job is getting ecstatic notes and texts from former clients who love their new home and community.
A resident of Cumming, Georgia, Shari resides with her husband. She has three grown children, one in high school and two fur babies. Shari is an active member of her community, volunteering in local schools, athletic booster clubs and various service groups. When she’s not working, you will most likely find her attending her children’s sports events, working out, reading or relaxing at the beach.
