t’s pretty amazing that it’s the 50th anniversary of the Beatles debuting in America on the Ed Sullivan Show. Atlantic City shares in that rich history of the Fab Four since the Beatles also appeared at Boardwalk Hall (then known as Convention Hall) that same year — August 1964. In honor of the landmark anniversary, the Hamilton Mall is allowing shoppers a special way to say “Love Me Do” to their valentine with the “All You Need Is Love Weekend,” Feb. 14-16. Free flowers will be given to the first 300 ladies who show up at the Customer Service center on Valentine’s Day. Leading the Jersey Shore British Invasion all weekend long is the return of the KOOL 98.3 & 103.7 WMGM Rock Art Show & Sale, opening on Valentine’s Day. The show is free to the public and all rock art works are available for purchase. Kool 98.3 and 103.7 WMGM will be broadcasting live throughout the weekend. On Saturday, British-mania will be staging a free “Live Beatles Concert” in the mall’s Center Court, starting with an “Early Beatles” show at 4pm, followed by an Abbey Road set after a short break. This year’s Rock Art Show will have a heavy Beatles theme, but the amazing collection of art, photographs, animation cells, concert tour posters, gold records and more also will encompass classic rock giants like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, the Who, Bob Dylan, the Doors, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, Santana, Pink Floyd, the Police and U2. Ron Campbell, director of the legendary Saturday morning Beatles cartoon series that aired on ABC from September 25, 1965 through April 20, 1969, and animator on the Beatles film Yellow Submarine, will make a rare personal appearance at the Rock Art Show throughout the entire weekend. In honor of Valentine’s Day, Campbell will personalize a special “All You Need is Love” painting based on the film Yellow Submarine with a couples’ name and/or wedding date. He also will have many of his original Beatles paintings on sale created especially for this show, and give a live demonstration of his painting. Other highlights of the show include a signed Ringo Starr drum head created for the Grammy Museum exhibit also featuring Ringo’s personal memorabilia, two never-before-published photographs of Bon Jovi taken at The Warehouse Recording studio in Philadelphia during the recording of the 7800 Fahrenheit album in 1985, and a newly discovered panoramic photo of the Allman Brothers taken during the first few days of their formation by Rolling Stone magazine’s first chief photographer Baron Wolman.

n appearance by Atlantic City native and awardwinning illustrator/author Kadir Nelson will be among the children’s programs offered by the Atlantic City Free Public Library in celebration of February’s Black History Month. Nelson, who spent part of his childhood in A.C., will be a guest speaker for the program “Making Your Dreams a Reality” on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 12:30pm at the All Wars Memorial Building (1510 Adriatic Ave.). Nelson is the 2014 recipient of the prestigious Hamilton King Award, presented each year to a Society of Illustrators member for outstanding

accomplishment and repeated excellence. The award spotlights one of the artist’s best works that is representative of their career, and can only be received once in a lifetime. Also the recipient of the Caldecott, NAACP, and Coretta Scott King Author awards, Nelson has had his works exhibited in major national and international publications, art galleries and museums. He gained acclaim for his award-winning children’s books We Are the Ship: The Story of Negro League Baseball, Heart and Soul: The Story of America and African Americans and Nelson Mandela. He is also the cover artist for Michael Jackson’s posthumous album, Michael, and the recently released album Nothing Was The Same by the artist Drake. The library will offer additional Black History Month children’s programs throughout the month, including “Researching Your Roots: Exploring African-American Family History” on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 10am-1pm. The free workshop will include guest speakers Wilbur Fields, Dr. Jacqueline McBride, Dottie Jones and Dr. Richlyn Goddard, who will share their personal experiences and research tips to help genealogists of all levels research their family history. Call 345-2269, ext. 3062 or visit acfpl.org for more information.
Anthony Catanoso to Receive Two Honors By Ray Schweibert
T
he 17th annual Atlantic City Host Awards is accepting nominations now through March 27 for excellence in 26 different hospitality-industry categories. Presented by the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority (ACCVA) Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity, the program salutes and encourages exceptional customer service industry-wide, and culminates with a May 7 awards banquet at Boardwalk Hall’s Adrian Phillips Ballroom. Banquet tickets are $65 each and can be purchased by calling 449-7174 or going to accvafoundation.org and clicking “Foundation Programs.” This year’s prestigious Spirit of Hospitality Award will be presented to Anthony Catanoso, president of Steel Pier Associates and co-owner of Atlantic City’s famed Steel Pier. The award is presented to an individual or group who has had a significant, positive impact on tourism and hospitality in the resort. “Anthony’s contribution to the tourism industry in Atlantic City is long-lasting and visible,” says John Palmieri, executive director of the CRDA, the ACCVA’s administrator. “The Catanoso family continually reinvests in their product to keep it current and exciting, and to ensure visitors have a quality experience. They are good partners with the city, other attractions, and the local community. We’re very happy to give Anthony this well deserved recognition.” Catanoso, whose Steel Pier Associates are in the midst of a five-year, $100-plus million renovation of the pier, will also receive recognition during the 31st Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala on March 13 at Bally’s. The annual fundraiser will feature a vintage carnival environment and a spectacular feast starting 6:30pm. Catanoso and Peter Slavin, an ice carver for the world’s first and only performance ice sculpting company (the Philadelphia-based Fear No Ice), will both be honored. The annual event celebrates food with hors d’oeuvres prepared by the students from the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College, and includes specialties from 40 of the area’s best restaurants. There will also be live music and an elaborate dessert reception co-organized by chefs Deborah Pellegrino of Caesars Entertainment and Tree McCann of the Academy of Culinary Arts. All proceeds benefit the student scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts and Atlantic Cape Foundation operations. The gala has raised almost $3 million for scholarships since 1984. The Beer Buzz By Ray Schweibert • feedback@acweekly.com
C
ertainly thousands of New Jersey residents are counting the days until spring after this brutal winter, and there’s no better sign that spring is on the horizon than when news starts circulating about the Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival, also known as the “Celebration of the Suds,” the largest beer/music festival in the state (visit acbeerfest.com). Presented by 100.7 WZXL, Beer Fest returns to the A.C. Convention Center for the ninth year Friday and Saturday, April 4-5. Along with more than 150 breweries from around the nation showcasing their wares,
had their grand openings — Millville’s Glasstown Brewery on Jan. 18 [pictured] and Rinn Duin in Toms River on Jan. 23), 15 brewpubs (where beer is brewed but only sold on premises, like A.C.’s Tun Tavern), and 13 in various stages of development. In another 2013 article at brewersassociation. org, Vermont has the most breweries per capita at one for every 24,067 people (26 breweries in the state; 625,741 year-round residents). *** Speaking of the Tun Tavern, brewmaster Tim Kelly recently shared some insight with The Beer Buzz on food-beer pairings. “When pairing beer with food, in broad terms it’s either contrast or complement,” says Kelly. “The soups, stews and meats of winter fare would tend to conjure a dark, rich beer to complement the savory nature of the food. Other times a Geuze, a Flemish Red or a tart Lambic like a Kriek or Frambiose [all styles of Belgian beers, some blended or fruit-infused] might contrast well and cut through the fats of cheeses and meats. A big beer to stand up to big flavor and a subtle beer for delicate flavors is another consideration. But the general rule of thumb is ‘Always drink what you like.’” *** Atlantic City’s newest hotbed for cold craft brews, Atlantic City Bottle Company, has a bunch of beer dinners and tap take-
and non-stop live rock, this year the festival is celebrating the state’s rapidly expanding craft-beer scene with a special-collaboration beer. The partnership is between New Jersey Craft Beer (visit newjerseycraftbeer.com, a Web site created for the N.J. craft beer enthusiast) and several in-state breweries. Following a short seminar by NJCB founder Mike Kivowitz, a sixtel keg (just over five gallons) will be tapped for each of Beer Fest’s three sessions including Friday at 9:30pm, and Saturday at 2:30pm and 8:30pm. *** According to a recent article at usatoday. com, California has far and away the most craft breweries in the nation with 263. Pennsylvania is sixth on the list with 93 (as of April 2013, due in part to a large influx of German immigrants in the early 20th century, it says), and rounding out the top 10 was Illinois with 54, most of those centralized in the Chicago area. The article stops at 10, but all totaled New Jersey is probably not far behind. The Garden State is approaching 50 if you count 22 microbreweries (two of which recently
overs scheduled for the rest of winter and early spring, and its first-ever whiskey dinner on Friday, Feb. 21. Chef Kevin Cronin is preparing a special four-course meal that will be paired with four select whiskeys from High West distillery of Utah. There will also be live music by jazz sax great Howard Isaacson and a piano accompanist at the event, which is $65 per person. Reservations are required (348-6400). On Friday, March 7, the Yards Brewing Co. Tape Takeover will feature seven beers, a specially created small-plates menu by Chef Cronin and giveaways. On Thursday, March 20, it’s the East Coast and Beach Haus beer dinner, and on Thursday, April 3, it’s the Carton Brewing tap takeover and beer dinner. Each will include giveaways and brewery representatives on hand to answer questions. Visit acbottlecompany.com for more. *** Cape May Brewing Company (CMBC) recently announced that its popular Devil’s Reach Belgian Strong Ale is now available in six packs. Look for them in local distributors. Other new CMBC releases include Vanessa’s Blackberry Wit-itude (a wheat beer), South Jersey Secession Session (a Scottish ale), and Brian’s Geek Out (a Belgian rye IPA). n

he walls of Egg Harbor Township’s LB One Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge have always told a story. For years, they were lined with thousands of dusty old books, serving as kitschy décor and an homage to the property’s longtime former occupant, the Library III Steakhouse. These days, those freshly spruced interiors — more on that later — are home to an eclectic combination of film, pop culture and historical photos, plus a few selected books as a gentle nod acknowledging the past. In one of multiple dining spaces, customers sup while surrounded by an array of movie posters, including originals signed by A-list stars Brad Pitt and Hugh Jackman. In another, a waifish Marilyn Monroe peers out at pictures of high-elevation steel workers, fabricating the skyline of New York City during a much earlier era of the 20th century. Throughout the facility, there is an admirable sense of cleanliness, energy and order having been restored. Responsible for this transition are owner/operators Paul and Kathleen Krulish, who took possession early in 2013 and re-launched in July. It’s actually Paul’s second go-round at the Black Horse Pike location, having originally helped found the Library brand, once New Jersey’s premiere chain of steakhouses, nearly 40 years ago. “I’m the guy who started this back in 1975,” says Krulish. “I learned to do everything; cook, bartend, work the front of house and even clean.” The latter point certainly proves true to this day. Krulish readily admits that when he inspected the business last year, what he saw was a disturbing trend. Dingy
and neglected during its final years as the Library III, the Krulish team, including many veteran employees, has done a remarkable job of rehabbing, updating and modernizing the establishment. Included are new booths at the rear of a spacious first-floor bar and lounge, the aforementioned artwork and a second-story rest room. Food service and the menu were tweaked, but not drastically altered from their original cut-to-order, steak by-theounce concept. “You have to have your identity,” says Krulish After managing the Library III until 1994, the well-traveled professional went on another location, the Library V in Buena,
for 10 years. Next came stints opening foodand-beverage outlets at Philadelphia Park Casino and then revamping three of Bally’s Atlantic City restaurants, eventually landing at Avalon’s Golden Inn for four years. These days, he’s most gratified by the recent return of former customers, many of whom allowing they hadn’t visited in some time. With Atlantic City’s steakhouse market well past the point of saturation, particularly in its upper echelons, it only makes sense that a more affordable, mainland option would remain highly viable. For those unfamiliar, protocol here remains ordering directly from a window in the kitchen, ably manned for decades

by manager Mick Patruzzi. Once there, patrons have the unique privilege of interactively planning their meal directly with the chef. Wondering what the difference between 10 and 12 ounces of steak looks like? All you have to do is ask, and they will happily demonstrate. Although those certified Angus Beef cuts of filet and New York sirloin remain menu mainstays, a Krulish addition is succulent rib eye — our personal favorite and a real value at only $21.95. Prime rib, rack of lamb and chopped sirloin still round out the meat selections, along with 11 seafood entrées highlighted by Krulish’s personal-recipe jumbo lump crab cakes, lobster tail and three versions of surf and turf. Brand new is a signature poultry item — chicken a la LB One — a breast filet topped with spinach, garlic, roasted peppers, olives and goat cheese. Another traditional element of any visit, their redoubtable salad bar, remains in effect, complimentary with all dinner orders. Krulish is quick to point out that all desserts are made in-house, with sweet offerings like chocolate peanut butter pie, double chocolate mousse pie, carrot cake, key lime pie and a Mounds cheesecake. Live entertainment, highlighted by fivetime Atlantic City Weekly Nightlife Awards winner Beth Tinnon performing country music Thursday evenings, now occurs regularly in the warm, cozy lounge. Many years ago, Paul Krulish used the slogan “Quaint dining at reasonable prices” to describe his nascent restaurant venture here. Funny how history seems bent on repeating itself once again. ■ see more online @

Clooney’s ‘Men’ A hunt for stolen artwork during the final days of World War II By Lori Hoffman • feedback@acweekly.com
G
eorge Clooney tends to star in populist movies like Ocean’s Eleven to finance the smaller scale arthouse movies he likes to direct, including Syriana and Good Night, and Good Luck. With his latest credit as writer, director and star, The Monuments Men, he seems stuck in the middle between popular and serious, and the resulting film, while enjoyable, seems less engaging then you would expect with a cast that includes Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Huge Bonneville, Cate Blanchett and Bob Balaban. Clooney is working with a truly fascinating story that is so much more complex than could be presented in one two-hour film. It is about a group of men and women who were organized to recover the great art of Europe that Hitler, a failed artist, has his army steal from all the countries Germany occupied during World War II. Since the real core of Monument Men include over 300 men and women, Clooney had to sculpt out a small chunk of the real story to shine a light on. Clooney and his screenwriting and production partner Grant Heslov settled on a small group of the art experts recruited to find the cultural artifacts. Clooney stars as Frank Stokes, the man who convinced President Roosevelt that recovering the art was an important part of the war effort — although convincing the commanders in the field it was important was a tougher job. Also recruited for the task were the art specialists played by the rest of the all-star cast, a German Jew who fled Germany for New Jersey, Sam Epstein (Dimitri Leonidas) and an

insider, a French archivist and member of the French Résistance, Claire Simone, (Cate Blanchett) who kept records of what the Nazis were stealing. With such comic masters as Goodman, Murray and Balaban on hand, the film includes some comedic moments that are hit and miss and seem out of character with the overall feel of the movie. And with such a large cast and so much plot to unfold, we aren’t given much character development, which makes the tragic loss of several of the Monument Men less impactful that if we had a real chance to connect with them before their demise in the name of art. What we have with The Monuments Men is a film that feels like it was sprinkled with audience pleasing moments from a classic WWII adventure — including the desire to keep the art from the Russian allies who plan to make it their spoils of war — designed to successfully mix a multi-plex movie with an art-house film. Sometimes when you try so hard to do both, you end with a movie that isn’t quite as entertaining as planned and also isn’t quite as serious as planned. That is where The Monuments Men stands — stuck in the middle but with such a terrific cast it is worth seeing. ■

Vanessa on Valentine’s Day
The most successful Miss America in the entertainment world, Vanessa Williams brings her love of the stage to Caesars on Feb. 14. By David J. Spatz • feedback@acweekly.com

FEBRUARY 13 - 19, 2014 • ATLANTIC CITY WEEKLY

ina Davuluri didn’t have to wait for the postman to deliver the poison pen letters that spewed their hatred over being the first Indian-American woman to be crowned Miss America. In the social media age, the reaction was instantaneous. Even as the reigning Miss America, Mallory Hagan, was placing the crown on her successor’s head, Twitter and Facebook were blowing up with racist comments over the judges’ choice, who just happened to be born and raised in Syracuse, N.Y. to parents who were immigrants from India. The one person in Miss America’s past who could instantly identify with what Davuluri was about to endure was actress and singer Vanessa Williams, who underwent her own challenges 29 years ago to the day Davuluri was crowned. Williams was the first AfricanAmerican woman to win the title. The biggest difference? Williams was crowned in the pre-Internet days when snail mail was still the preferred way of delivering messages. “I just got those seethingly disgusting letters sent directly to my house instead of online,” Williams remembers. Then, as something of an afterthought, Williams adds rhetorically, “I guess that means nothing has changed, has it?” About a week after Davuluri won the title, Miss America CEO Sam Haskell was showing his new queen the sites in Manhattan. One of their stops was the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, where Williams, Haskell’s friend and former William Morris Agency client, was starring in the Broadway play The Trip to Bountiful. Haskell took Davuluri backstage to meet Williams. Though separated in age by 26
facebook.com/ACWeekly @acweekly
“I guess that means nothing has changed, has it?” years — at 24, Davuluri is two years younger than Williams’ oldest daughter — the two women hit it off immediately. “I got a chance to ... talk to her for a bit and just support her and remind her that she has had an amazing accomplishment and to enjoy her year,” Williams tells Atlantic City Weekly during a recent phone chat. “And she was in great shape anyway. She wasn’t frazzled, she didn’t take things personally and she knows that that’s part of being out there and being famous, and she was willing and able to take the heat. And I think she’s done an amazing job and she’s setting a great example.” Before leaving the theater, Williams and Davuluri began following one another on the same social media sites that had initially been filled with such hurtful comments following her coronation. Perhaps the only other person to wear the Miss America tiara who could identify with Davuluri and Williams is Bess Myerson, who in 1945 became the first and — to date — only Jewish woman to win the crown. Like Williams and Davuluri, Myerson had a common bond: all three represented the state of New York before winning the title. “Well, there you go, all three New Yorkers,” Williams says with a wry laugh. “We’re the true melting pot of America, no doubt about that.” In spite of the controversy that brought an abrupt end to Williams’ Miss America reign — a nude photo scandal that forced her to
surrender the crown six weeks prematurely — Williams has arguably become the most successful Miss America in the entertainment world. There are few aspects of the business that she’s hasn’t embraced and successfully conquered. As an R&B recording artist, her albums and singles have hit the top of the charts and earned her 15 Grammy nominations. On television, roles in shows like Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives and 666 Park Avenue have earned her rave reviews and three Emmy nominations. She’s a Tony Award nominee for her work on Broadway and has acted in several feature films that were box office gold. She recently followed up her Broadway appearance in The Trip to Bountiful by filming a TV adaptation of the play which will air March 8 on Lifetime. And in September, she’ll reprise her stage role in the Los Angeles production of the Horton Foote play. “It was such an extraordinary group, and having the incredible Cicely Tyson in the role of Mother Watts, it was one of those must-see productions,” she says, praising Tyson’s Tony Award-winning performance. “And I’m so happy that I not only got a chance to do my role twice, but now I’ll get a third chance to do it [in Los Angeles].” Because of her ability to adapt to virtually every medium in the business, being unemployed doesn’t really worry Williams — at
least not too much. “I’m lucky to always be afforded an opportunity to keep growing and working, so I’m happy,” she says. “And whenever I get nervous about not being employed, something turns up, so I’m one happy person.” Williams, who’ll haul out some romantic and Valentine’s Day-appropriate songs when she performs Friday, Feb. 14, at Caesars Atlantic City, credits her high school and college training in musical theater and her parents — both of whom were music teachers — with initially setting her on the right path in what’s usually a challenging way to make a living. “You learn how to be adaptable, whether it’s Shakespeare, whether it’s a straight play or a comedy or a musical,” she explains. “I think all of my training and experiences have been an asset because I’ve been able to float comfortably between comedy and drama and television and stage. I also think it has to do with having two parents who were music teachers to expose me to the arts my entire life and so I appreciate each aspect [of the business] and feel comfortable being a musician and being able to move from genre to genre.” Initially, Williams wanted to be a dancer after she began taking lessons when she was in kindergarten. But then she was introduced to music and studied both the piano and French horn. “I really didn’t start singing until I began doing [high school] theater, and I thought, ‘Wow, singing and dancing and I get to act all at once? This is fun,” she says. “And then when I found out I could major in musical theater in college, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.” Just as her parents never discouraged her from a career in the arts, Williams will encourage her own kids if they express an interest in following in their mom’s footsteps. She has four children — three daughters and a son — ranging in age from 26 to 13. Her 24-year-old daughter Jillian is a singer and performs with the group Lion Babe, which was recently signed to a recording contract. Her 13-year-old daughter Sasha, who’s in eighth grade, is already performing in school productions and also sings, plays guitar and has expressed an interest in a show business career. However, Williams doesn’t sound like she’d be thrilled if her youngest wanted to get into the pageant world. There was a method behind Williams’ pageant madness 30 years ago. “The only reason I did [pageants] was for the scholarship money,” Williams says candidly of the whirlwind that occurred between entering her first preliminary pageants and then winning the Miss America crown just six months later. ■ see more online @

“I look forward to coming to Atlantic City every time. I’m never disappointed there.” New York City. “That guy has some serious stuff going on,” Norton says. “He has an addiction and it’s not really sexual. It’s something else but it’s fascinating how he let that mess him up.” Norton is edgy and unpredictable in a politically correct era, which shows no signs of abating. “That’s alright,” Norton says. “I’m not going to hold back just because of the climate. You have to give comics some space when they say something provocative because they’re just joking. People forget about that. If I say something racially insensitive, I shouldn’t have to prove that I’m not a racist. It’s just a joke. I’m not a racist. On the other side, I’m fine with people making fun of me. It’s comedy. We [comics] are kidding around. Have fun with it.” The irreverent Norton actually has a soft spot for Jay Leno, who recently left the Tonight Show. cap to the former late-night chat show host. “Jay doesn’t get enough credit,” Norton says. “I did [The Late Show With David] Letterman a couple of times. Dave was friendly, but Jay comes into the dressing room and sits down with you. He makes you feel comfortable. I’ll always defend Jay. I got away with so much more stuff on The Tonight Show than I did on Letterman. Jay will be missed on television, but you know he’ll be out there doing stand-up, just like me.” Even though Norton has done some film and television, it’s all about stand-up for the inveterate comic. “Doing the other stuff is nice,” Norton says. “I enjoy it, but it’s always been about the stage for me. There are no restrictions. I can just do what I want to do. I don’t have to sneak anything in. I just say what’s on my mind. I have lots on my mind right now. To see what I mean, just catch the show in Atlantic City.” Norton used to air it out on Comedy

im Norton loves playing New Jersey and it’s not just because he’s a Garden State native. Norton, who grew up in East Brunswick, loves Jersey crowds because of their intensity, particularly at his Atlantic City shows. “When I play A.C. I don’t think there’s a better audience for me,” Norton says while calling from Manhattan. “The people that come out are animals. You have the crazies from Philadelphia. You have the Central Jersey crowd, who are out of their mind, and it’s a great show. I’m not just saying this because I’m coming back to the Borgata. It’s just the truth. I don’t say, ‘Those people in St. Louis are insane!’ just to sell tickets. I love the reception I get when I perform in New Jersey and the energy in the crowd.” A big reason Norton, who will perform Friday and Saturday (Feb. 14 & 15) at the Borgata Music Box, is so well received is due to the cold hard reality he brings to his stand-up. Norton will talk sex, politics and sports when he comes to town. He will also wax about embattled New York City politico Anthony Weiner and his sexual issues, which ultimately killed his bid for mayor of
Central’s late, lamented Tough Crowd, which was hosted by Colin Quinn and a number of exceptional comics, such as the late Greg Giraldo and Nick DiPaolo. “We had a great time on Tough Crowd, but, you know, I don’t think we could do now what we did back then,” Norton says. “The content restrictions at Comedy Central would be worse now than they were then. It was hard then but it would be a real battle now. But that’s a show that did well in the ratings. I never understood why they took it off the air.” The same can be said for the Louis C.K. vehicle, Lucky Louie, which ran for just one season on HBO. “The crazy thing about that was that the show had better numbers than [HBO’s] Flight of the Conchords,” Norton says. “But that show was the critical darling and our show wasn’t. It was a great show.” Lucky Louie was like a baseball slugger. The show hit it out of the park or completely missed the ball. But Norton ended up just fine. “And so did Louis,” Norton says. “He’s good and you just move on.” Norton has come a long way since he started in 1990. “It’s amazing how much [I’ve] evolved,” Norton says. “I sucked when I started out. But I kept at it since this was what I wanted to do since I was a kid. But it’s all worked out. Sure, there were some rough shows. I mean, I still have bad shows but I’m only human. You just keep coming back. I’ve found what I was meant to do. How many people can say that? And I get to do it in Atlantic City, which is a great town for a number of reasons. First off, it’s not far from home. It never takes long to get there. I get treated very well when I’m there and the fans who come out are just as good as it gets. I look forward to coming to Atlantic City every time. I’m never disappointed there. The Borgata is just a fabulous place. They know how to treat you. I’ll go and perform in Atlantic City as often as I can.” ■
