ith four fewer casino entertainment venues in town — and the possibility of losing two more, if Trump Entertainment Resorts makes good on its threat to close the Taj Mahal in November — an assumption some folks have made is that less showrooms will mean fewer shows coming to Atlantic City. Not so fast. You know what happens when you assume something, right? Conversations with several people on both sides of the issue — the buyers (casinos) and the sellers (agents), both speaking on condition of anonymity — have revealed just the opposite may happen. Just because there are fewer venues doesn’t automatically mean fewer shows. In fact, given the right set of circumstances, Atlantic City and the people who frequent the town may actually find more shows moving forward. “Right now,” one agent says, “I think we first have to wait for all the dust to settle before we see any movement

one way or another. This is all very new for everyone, and it’s still a very fluid situation. The prevailing thinking is that the worst may be over — for now, anyway.” With fewer casinos competing for the same acts, it could actually become a sellers market, depending on the artist and how badly one gaming hall wants that act on their stage. Fewer casinos in Atlantic City will likely mean the survivors will see monthly gaming revenue increases as business from closed casinos is absorbed by the properties that remain open. And better balance sheets could put some casinos in a position to become players if a bidding war breaks out over a hot act. Another reason Atlantic City entertainment will survive — and likely thrive — is the lack of consistent entertainment programs at casinos in surrounding states. The tax rate on gaming revenue in states like Pennsylvania and Maryland is prohibitively high and approaching 60 perCONTINUED ON PAGE 12

Thousands flocked to the Atlantic City Seafood Festival at Bader Field Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13-14. The two-day extravaganza featured over 50 culinary purveyors and personalities, a variety of cooking demonstrations and seminars, live music, local arts and crafts, a chowder cook off and a special section called the New Jersey Pirates and Privateers weekend, where guests learned historical facts about pirate life in the 1700sincluding sword fights, a battle on sea and shore, and a pirate band. The Seafood Fest and Bader Field also served as the finish line and awards-ceremony site for the fourth annual Atlantic City International Triathlon, which took place Sunday and included a one-mile swim, 20-mile bike ride and 10K (6.2-mile) run. A shorter spring race (quarter-mile swim, 10-mile ride and 5K run) was also held. (Photo: Tom Briglia)

>> cent. That means nearly 60 cents right off the top of every dollar won by casinos there goes to the state. The casino is left with approximately 40 cents to pay its bills. And that’s why most casinos in those states — except, perhaps, for the Sands Bethlehem in Pennsylvania — lack a cohesive entertainment policy. They simply can’t afford it. With Atlantic City down three showrooms within the past three weeks, the approaching fall may be the only season where there could be fewer shows than during the corresponding season last year. Revel had booked shows into November, which are now cancelled. The House of Blues at Showboat apparently had seen the handwriting on the wall much earlier in the year, because it had nothing booked beyond the end of August. As we approach autumn, Borgata, which remains the industry leader in gaming revenue, also retains its standing as the casino with the most active and engaging entertainment policy. While many of the artists are familiar names to the property, at least one will be making his Atlantic City debut as a solo artist, although he’s made dozens of appearances over the past 36 years. Justin Hayward, the lead guitarist and singer for the Moody Blues, will fly solo in Borgata’s Music Box on Oct. 31. However, his audience might not be able to tell the different between Hayward the solo performer from Hayward the band member; based on his recent solo shows, seven of the 14 songs on Hayward’s set list are Moody Blues classics. Borgata also returns another Atlantic City favorite when the legendary Tony Bennett, who turned 88 last month, plays the Event Center with his daughter, Anotonia Bennett, opening for her dad. Caesars Atlantic City has a light schedule, but what it does have is fairly solid and touches four distinctly different demographics: Alanis Morissette, Reba McEntire, Ian Anderson (playing the best of Jethro Tull) and Diana Krall. Harrah’s Resort will continue to present Thursday shows in an effort to capture some midweek entertainment and casino business and also an array of weekend headliners, including Judas Priest on Oct. 16 and Season 11 American Idol winner Phillip Phillips on Oct. 31. And, provided they stay open beyond midNovember, Trump Taj Mahal turns back the clock to the early 1980s with Culture Club featuring Boy George on Nov. 28. Following is the complete fall casino and Boardwalk Hall entertainment schedule, with the very real possibility more acts will be added:

ne can only wonder how many times in his soon-to-be 43 years Alfonso Ribeiro has been hounded by requests to do the dance that helped make him famous. If a January 2013 appearance at The Pool After Dark is any indication, though, he tends to take it in stride and give fans what they fancy. That levelheaded attitude is likely what also allowed Ribeiro to make the rare transition from child star to multifaceted show-business standout — dancer, actor, director and game-show host to name a few. But it was his self-created “Carlton Dance” on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air (in which he co-starred with Philly icon Will Smith from 1990-’96) that best served as the benchmark for his TV character, Carlton Banks (affluent cousin to the underprivileged but street-smart Smith). Ribeiro’s fancy footwork was often performed on the show to the Tom Jones’ hit “It’s Not Unusual” — something the now 74-year-old Prince of Wales admitted helped expand his popularity to a younger generation. The New York City-born Ribeiro’s dancing talent first manifested itself in the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit The Tap Dance Kid, in which he had a starring role. His moonwalk dancing in a Michael Jackson Pepsi TV commercial as a 12-year-old earned kudos from the King of Pop himself back in 1984, and he is competing with professional dancer Whitney Carson on this season’s Dancing with the Stars (which began Sept. 15). The Pool After Dark’s Epic Saturdays Party on Sept. 20 will serve as a birthday bash for Ribeiro, who turns 43 the next day. Doors open 10pm and DJ Koko will provide the beats. n

nce again, greetings and salutations. It really is hard to believe that the summer season is really over; as I noted in the last column, it has been one of the best ever. It’s strange how quickly after Labor Day the shore changes: less traffic, fewer people, and the locals and residents emerge in preparation for fall. As far as the Geator, it really never ends, and we’re still a part of the magic of the shore 52 weeks a year — Thursdays live at 5 at the Golden Nugget, last Saturday night the Baby Boomers Rock & Roll Revival at La Costa in Sea Isle, and this Saturday back in Wildwood at the Lighthouse Pointe. Plus some special appearances, which we will announce. And, of course, you can still hear us nightly Monday through Friday on WTKU Kool 98.3, as well as our very special Geator, Frank and Friends show every Sunday at noon on our sister station, WOND 1400 News Talk Radio. Track all our activities at Geator.net. Now — let’s ask the Geator!

t’ll be safety first and the finish line second when the vintage race cars hit the tracks at the New Jersey Motorsports Friday through Sunday in Millville. See, when you’re driving exotic, valuable old vehicles like these, it’s not just about winning — it’s also about finishing in one piece. “We are not about accidents,” Vintage Racer Group publicist Storm Fields says. “If somebody causes an accident, he’ll be sent home. It’s that simple. That’s what makes this race different from many of the other races that you’ll see. Sure, everyone wants to win, but we’re not about doing it at any cost. Safety matters.” Of course, it’s not as though that means there’ll be any lack of speed out on the Motorsports Park’s Lightning Circuit this weekend. Some V8s, such as the Corvettes and Camaros, will reach speeds of 160 and 170 mph. “Cars will be flying,” Fields says. “The racing will be very vigorous. Everyone will be pushing it hard. But this kind of racing is different. In other kinds of racing, they’re going hell bent for leather. In other kinds of racing, the car is kind of secondary. In vintage racing, the car is much more important. It’s not replaceable. You can always get another Honda

but if you have an issue with your 1960 Sprite, it’s going to take some work to find pieces for your car. Everybody works really hard in this race but with this, discretion is often the better part of valor. You’ll understand that when you see some of these cars, which are truly amazing. They’re fast — and they also look great.” The autos are certainly aesthetically pleasing. Check out the 1956 Alfa Romeo, the 1961 Lotus 7, the 1975 Triumph Spitfire, the 1973 Porsche 914 and the 1969 Titan FF, among many other stunners on four wheels that will be racing in Millville. “There will be an array of some amazing cars that you just won’t see anywhere else,” Fields says. “Just seeing them standing still is pretty cool, but to watch them go off and running is something else. You’ll be captivated. It’s fun watching the cars just absolutely fly going down the straightaway — but you have to check out the corner action. That’s where it all happens; you see all of the strategy there. The drivers who navigate the corners best are the ones who cross the finish line first.” Fields himself wishes he could race his 1960 MGA coupe. “I’m really bummed out that my car is out of commission,” he

says. “They have two really beautiful race courses in Millville. It’s great for the drivers and the fans.” It’s also good for kids. The family-friendly event allows children to enter the vintage cars for photo opportunities. “Kids normally don’t get to get inside cars like these,” Fields said. “It’s an experience I wish I had as a kid. Then kids’ minds are blown by the races.” (Adding to the fun: Children 12 and over can also drive karts on the car track.) Fans will also enjoy vintage motorcycles at the event — an extra bit of awesome that Fields expects will help the race, the eighth annual such, to continue drawing larger crowds. “Every year more and more people come down to this,” he says. “It’s a growing sport, and to me, I don’t think there is a more exciting sport than watching these amazing vintage cars and motorcycles fly around the track. It’s so cool.” n

VINTAGE RACER GROUP Friday through sunday, sept. 19–21. New Jersey Motorsports park, 8000 Dividing Creek Rd., Millville. Races are slated for 9am–5pm each day. vrgonline.org

LIVING THE GOOD LIFE AT 81, WILLIE NELSON STILL LOVES MAKING A CROWD HAPPY bY E D CO N D R A N The octogenarian looks as fit as ever. “So what if I’m old?” Nelson said. “If you’re old and in shape, what does it matter? I’ve always been interested in staying fit. That’s how I tour so much. I stay in shape by boxing and I love Taekwondo. Singing on a stage for two hours is good for you too.” Nelson is one of a kind. It’s hard to believe, but he wrote “Crazy” for Patsy Cline over a half century ago. The ten-time Grammy winner is one of the most humble and beloved members of the music world. “I’m just thrilled to be where I am,” Nelson said. “I love what I do.” Well before Nelson reached a level where he began breathing rarified air, he taught guitar, toiled as a radio DJ and wrote songs for established recording artists before anyone knew of him. “But all of those jobs had to do with music,” Nelson said. “It’s been all right as long as I’ve been around or making music. That’s the life for me.” n

here’s no place like Austin during the South By Southwest mega-festival in March, and there’s nobody like Willie Nelson. The icon, who resides in the capital of Texas, headlined an iTunes festival during SXSW six months ago and was every bit the charmer fans expect. Nelson smiled while delivering such favorites as “On The Road Again,” “Crazy” and “Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die.” “I love playing those songs,” Nelson said. “I never get tired of them. How can I get tired of them if people still want to hear them? There’s nothing wrong with making a crowd happy.” The venerable country singer, 81, is wise; he did, after all, come of age in an era when recording artists gave the audience what it desired. And indeed, Nelson — who’ll perform Friday at Harrah’s Resort Casino — can sing anything and please an audience. The crowd at Austin’s Moody Theater responded with enthusiasm when Nelson offered his version of Toby Keith’s “Beer for My Horses” and the Hank Williams classic “I Saw the Light.” Of course, he brought the house down with his take on Ed Bruce’s “Mama’s Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys.”

s a young Midwestern girl in 1992, I took a great interest in beauty pageants when the family across the street housed Miss Some County or Another while she was competing for our state title. See, to make sure all the girls were on their best behavior while in town, the pageant had all the contestants stay with nice local families instead of in hotels. In retrospect, that prudishness strikes me as a bit hypocritical, considering these girls were being judged on how they looked in a swimsuit. But young me was thrilled. To win a pageant — to be picked to represent someplace as their best specimen of femininity — that was as close to attaining celebrity as anything I could imagine back then. A potential queen had to be effortlessly conversational, strikingly beautiful in a very specific way, and in possession of an entertaining skill. At that time, the reigning Miss America was Carolyn Sapp. If you knew only two things about her, those were that she was Hawaiian and that she had been the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her football player boyfriend, who, enraged by setbacks in his career, had reportedly taken to beating her mercilessly. Sapp’s escape from this cycle was a significant part of her appeal: She represented beauty and strength. And that, some 20 years ago, was the last time I’d thought about domestic violence in conjunction with the Miss America pageant — until this year, when no fewer than three contestants chose platforms related to the topic, including the winner, Kira Kazantsev of New York. Her platform, “Love Shouldn’t Hurt: Protecting Women Against Domestic Violence,” seems especially timely — and, when paired with her interview answers about Ray Rice, likely cemented her win. Kazantsev had been considered a long shot for the crown, failing to win any vital preliminaries and competing in the talent category with the unusual (to say the least) skill of performing Pharrell Williams’ hit song “Happy” while smacking a plastic cup against the stage. But according to the judges, she began to win them over with her incisive response to a question during the first interview, in which she stated: “In the United States, the justice system is driving the getaway car for abusers.” Contrasting the Ray Rice incident to other abuse situations, she pointed out: “Your average abuser is not in the spotlight” — that is, there’s no such public outrage demanding action in the vast majority of domestic violence incidents. Kazantsev also used the televised interview round as an opportunity to talk about sexual assault in the military — a decidedly less safe topic than nutrition or kids with cancer. She was not alone in the decision. Miss Delaware Brittany Lewis chose “Domestic Violence Awareness” as her platform,

Miss America 2014 Nina Davuluri crowns her successor, Kira Kazantsev, at Sunday’s event in Atlantic City. (Photo by Tom Briglia)

too, citing her sister’s murder at the hands of an abuser as motivation. Paige Madden, Miss West Virginia, who also lost a loved one to domestic violence, opted for the platform of “Silence Hides Violence: Empowering Women in Abusive Situations.” And while her stated platform was about arts education, Cierra Kaler-Jones, Miss New Jersey, was extremely vocal to the press about domestic violence as well, speaking out against Ray Rice and bemoaning the possible shame he brought upon their mutual alma mater, Rutgers. Apropos of the media attention surrounding recent high profile cases, domestic violence was a repeated topic during the pageant — although not always productively. While interviewing Victoria Cowen, Miss Florida, model/mogul Kathy Ireland inquired: “We were all rocked by the video of football star Ray Rice punching his wife Janay. She’s standing by him. As a woman, what do you think of her decision?” The Twittersphere lit up immediately as viewers accused Ireland of victim-blaming, of trying to pit women against each other — in addition to completely missing the

larger picture about why it might be difficult or dangerous for any person to leave an abusive situation. A survivor herself, Kazantsev later addressed the question by saying “I want people to stop asking, ‘Why doesn’t she just leave?’ Every woman is an expert in her own case, and there are so many extenuating circumstances that lead to a woman staying with her abuser.” Debbye Turner, Miss America 1990, also used her title to raise awareness of domestic violence. And, of course, Carolyn Sapp put a (beautiful) face on a serious problem, giving unprecedented attention to a hidden epidemic. In 1994, the Violence Against Women Act was passed. While it’s depressing that, despite two decades, we continue to battle the ignorance, misogyny and toxic ideas of masculinity that perpetuate abuse, I’m hopeful this year’s winner can continue to demonstrate inordinate poise in the face of this subject and use her crown as it’s intended: to do the kind of advocacy work that can make a difference to people. Perhaps some little girl in a small town will take notice. n

locally. And who better to represent than the Glasgow-born, Stratford-upon-Avon raised Ramsay? Described as “a sophisticated environment with a bit of Garden State flair,” Ramsay’s Pub will feature cuisine like bangers-and-mash, fish-and-chips, and roasted chicken, as well as Ramsay’s favorites like London broil prepared on a wood-burning grill, all part of a rustic, seasonal bill of fare. A true pub, the new restaurant will feature a wide selection of craft and microbrews from around the world, offering more than 30 beers on tap. The 48-year-old Ramsay’s stunning culinary career trajectory commenced when his dream of playing professional futbol — he became a member of the Glasgow Rangers team at only 15 years of age — ended after three years due to knee

injuries. After completing a course in hotel management, he set out to learn from some of Europe’s most revered chefs, spending time apprenticing in the kitchens of Marco Pierre White at Harvey’s in London, Albert Roux at Le Gavroche, then worked under master chefs Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy in France. His first venture as head chef, called Aubergine — Britspeak for eggplant — opened in London to rave reviews in 1993. After experiencing financial issues with investors, he moved on to open his own eponymous establishment called Gordon Ramsay in London during 1998. Eventually receiving a coveted three-star rating from the prestigious Michelin guide, Ramsay published his first cookbook, Passion for Flavour, that same year. From then until present, the spiky-haired chef’s flame has burned brightly, with additional branded outposts of his dining empire opening in London and Dubai. New York was the next logical step, where he reportedly invested $3 million of his own funds to create Gordon Ramsay at The London in 2008. While that hotel-based entity was sold just a year later — after obtaining a pair of Michelin stars — The London retained use of Ramsay’s trade name. After successfully opening a trio of Vegas-based dining spots in 2012 — Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris, Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Caesars Palace and Gordon Ramsay BurGR at Planet Hollywood — it seems logical that the demanding, sometimes abrasive Brit would look toward our comely shores. Here’s an intriguing final point to consider; Ramsay’s arrival means the creation of a mini-U.K. restaurant row, with gregarious English chef Paul Drew already holding court at Phillips Seafood just across the boards at The Pier Shops at Caesars. We want to share a pint with those two some night after closing. n

he British are coming! The British are coming! (Well, okay, to be precise, it’s a Scotsman. That distinction’s probably especially important this week.) Acclaimed celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will become the first Michelin-starred restaurateur to deliver a new venture in Atlantic City, scheduled for arrival in early 2015, when he opens Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Caesars in the current location of Mia. From our perspective, this seems a well-planned fit. Ramsay’s eatery will provide a proper first impression for visitors — especially those checking in — at the center of the iconic casino property. That space itself has always been unique, dating back to when it included a massive R-rated ceiling fresco during its initial incarnation as the Temple Bar and Lounge. Ramsay, who’s become a lightning rod for controversy in Britain as well as one of the most recognized public figures of the decade, will bring notoriously fastidious standards of excellence to a town that will welcome it. Frankly, the announcement’s timing simply couldn’t have been more impeccable, providing some bright contrast to the national media’s rush to judgment regarding Atlantic City’s future. An A-list media personality of the highest degree, Ramsay has been integral to multiple television entities beginning with the British television documentary Boiling Point, which tracked his working life as he opened his first restaurant. The success of that mini-film eventually launched a reality series by the same name. With similar broadcasting in full bloom stateside, he began a partnership with the Fox network in 2005 which has come to include his signature Hell’s Kitchen cooking competition, MasterChef, Kitchen Nightmares, MasterChef Jr., Hotel Hell and a more recent, truly brilliant BBC production called The F Word. We love his overall Atlantic City concept, too, for a variety of reasons. Begin with the fact that there’s no such thoroughly pedigreed British-style pub entity that we know of

AC WEEKLY FOOD CRITIC FR ANK GABRIEL AND PHILLY FO OD CRITIC BRIAN FREEDMAN WA X PHILOSOPHIC ON GORDON R AMSAY’S PROSPEC TS

Special Monday Night Entertainment 9/22 “The Legends of Song” Pat Moschetto & John Lovelock

BRIAN: So, as a New Jersey native, what’s your initial reaction to the news of Gordon Ramsay coming to A.C.?

FRANK: My initial reaction is, wow, if ever there was a well-timed bolt of positive p.r. for Atlantic City from out of the blue, this is it. Ramsay should have a wide, deeply qualified pool of potential applicants for this new facility, given the recent closings of so many quality casino restaurants. The space itself is also fabulous — high ceilings, right in the central entryway — and should instantly make a stunning impression.

BRIAN: Do you think the audience is big enough for a project like this? Because at the end of the day, you need bodies in the building to sustain that kind of restaurant. I also worry a bit about the pricing; a $19 or $20 burger better be pretty spectacular, for example. And while I enjoyed the burger I had at Ramsay’s spot in Las Vegas, I’m not sure I felt as if it was worth the money. Any thoughts?

BRIAN: I agree with your assessment of the Village Whiskey burger — now that’s a burger worth some dough. And I agree with your feeling that Ramsay’s arrival will

Sunday–Thursday Served Open to Close

ultimately be beneficial... if it flies. I hope he’s there once in a while. I realize that he can’t and won’t be there on a regular basis, of course, but I hope that his spirit is, and that his famously fastidious eye on quality control, execution and service is readily apparent. And thanks for nothing, by the way — now I have an image in my head of Ramsay yelling at the orgy on the ceiling, criticizing the technique of the various participants. “You call that love-making? Bloody hell, it’s a travesty is what it is!”

FRANK: From a menu-centric point of view, an upscale tavern/burger bar seems a good fit at Caesars. While several already exist locally — most notable Gallaghers at Resorts and Broadway at The Trop — neither Caesars nor The Pier really has that type of eatery on their roster. Some random Ramsay thoughts: I recall having a conversation about a decade ago regarding Gordon’s TV persona “antics” with one of the region’s most respected chefs, who currently runs the kitchen at a very well-regarded establishment in A.C. I suggested to him was that much of Ramsey’s raving is pure theatricality — a sort of Brit-shtick. The chef’s reply to me was priceless — something to the effect of: “I sure hope so, because if you talked to professional cooks around here like that, one of them would go upside your head with a saute pan!” Personally, I thought Gordon was a right wanker until I saw the episode from season five of his F Word show where he and his family — specifically his young children — raised pigs. It was a pretty brilliant idea, designed to edify his kids about where their food really came from. Ramsey’s hard veneer of a shell practically melted away as these animals were led to doors of the abattoir, and viewers were briefly given a glimpse of him choking up before the camera cut away. Having grown up in southern N.J. farm country, with lots of relatives who still till our fertile soil, it was truly an endearing moment which changed my entire perception of the man. As I wrote in a column at that time: “Well done, mate.” n

FRANK: Keep in mind, we just lost A.C.’s costliest — and in my opinion, best — burger with the closing of Jose Garces’ Village Whiskey at Revel. (Though who knows at this point — maybe that could end up being only temporary, if the deal currently being reported actually goes through.) Either way, I think the buzz that surrounds Ramsay will prove nothing but positive for the city overall. Here’s an interesting little factoid: In its original incarnation, the space Ramsey will occupy — most recently, Mia — was called the Temple Bar and Lounge and featured a rather erotic fresco of a Roman orgy on its lofty ceiling. It’s a damn shame Gordon never got to see it; his reaction would have been priceless, I’m sure! And since we’re talking burgers: The best burger I ever had was at Hubert Keller’s Burger Bar in Vegas at Mandalay Bay, and as I recall, it was less than $15.

‘DOLPHIN TALE 2’ MAKES FOR EXCELLENT FAMILY MOVIEGOING BY LORI HOFFMAN

B

While the happy ending in a family film is inevitable, Dolphin Tale 2 provides enough tension to engage both kids and adults, and also tosses in a few good laughs, the latter provided mostly by the return of the scene-stealing pelican Rufus. The nature of the story also acts as an uplifting commercial, praising the work of mammal stranding centers. In our region that means the fine work of the aforementioned Marine Mammal Stranding Center. As was the original, Dolphin Tale 2 is a prime example of excellent family filmmaking that is sentimental without being cloyingly sweet, filled with fine performances and wonderful underwater camera work. n

ob Schoelkopf, founder and director of the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, should send the filmmakers of Dolphin Tale 2 a thank-you note. The sequel to the winning “based on true events” film Dolphin Tale, about an injured dolphin and her prosthetic tail, is at its heart a tribute to the fine work done by all marine mammal stranding centers. What’s especially nice about this sequel is that it isn’t a rehash of the original story — a rarity when it comes to sequels — mainly because the film integrates true events into its fictional narrative. Co-written and directed by Charles Martin Smith (who also has a small role), we return to the story of Winter the Dolphin and her human pals several years down the road at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Those humans include the now teenagers Sawyer (Nathan Gamble) and Hazel (Cozi Zuehlsdorff). Also back from the original are Ashley Judd and Harry Connick, Jr. as the respective single parents of the teens, and Morgan Freeman as the doctor who designed the tail for Winter. The current crisis that returns us to the aquarium is the death of Winter’s companion dolphin, the 40-year-old Panama. Not only is Winter sad about the loss of Panama, but government regulations require that Winter must have a companion. Mandy, a dolphin recently rescued and nursed back to health, would be a perfect candidate, except that would be against the principles of mammal rescue which is to return the animals to the wild if they are healthy enough. Hazel and her dad clash over the fate of Winter — if no suitable dolphin companion is found she will be send to another facility — while Sawyer has been selected to take part in an elite marine mammal training program at sea but is torn about leaving now that Winter’s fate is undecided.
