Ostrich style We at Atlantic Leather presented our new ostrich leather for the first time at the Cuir à Paris leather show in the autumn of 2010. Ostrich leather is an exotic new addition to our established range of fishleathers – salmon, perch, wolffish and cod – and this new product has got off to a flying start (even though it is from a flightless bird!) Our ostrich leather is made from ostrich-leg hides, responsibly sourced from South Africa, and tanned with the same expertise and care as we devote to our fishleather products. Our objective is to bring out the unique qualities of each raw material, and to meet our clients’ specific requirements and requests. We are constantly impressed by the imaginative approaches of our clients, which inspire us to continue to develop our products and techniques. The ways of the artistic mind are unfathomable – or can it be a coincidence that leather from ostrich legs should be used to adorn and protect human feet?
