ICELAND – Up Close and Personal
Our super team of agents is our way of bringing service closer to the client: they speak the language and are familiar with the culture. But how do we go about getting across to our agents our passion for fish leather, and for the rough-and-tumble of Icelandic nature, which is a constant challenge and an inexhaustible source of inspiration? Our answer was to invite them to attend an agents‘ conference at our tannery on the north coast of Iceland. Now they know all about fish leather, and they‘re just as “crazy” as we are!
“Scrambling up the steep narrow path up onto the rock island of Drangey was a big challenge, but the reward made it all worthwhile – this marvellous view, and pure air completely free of the dust we have in Paris,” commented our French agent, Vincent.
“I knew about Atlantic Leather’s range of colours and finishes, but the tannery‘s capacity to fulfil big orders was a surprise to me,“ said Fred from Norway. Frank from Germany added: “The lads who run the technical side, Siggi and Ingi, are amazing magicians.“
“To sail into the chilly north wind is so refreshing,“ says Carlo from Italy, captivated by the seabirds nesting on the cliffs. “It‘s like being in Survivor,” observes Pasi from Finland, who casually plunges into the icy-cold sea at the end of the trip. He’s clearly got the Iceland bug.
