ABOUT US

Based in Alapaha, Georgia, Atlas Greenhouse is a manufacturer of commercial and educational greenhouse systems. Founded in 1986 as a regional greenhouse supplier, Atlas is now a leading provider of greenhouses internationally, with our facilities consisting of over 100,000 square feet of sales, manufacturing, and warehouse space.

In October of 2022, Atlas established a partnership with Mangrove Equity Partners, which has allowed Atlas to expand its salesforce to better serve our customers throughout the United States.

At Atlas, we manufacture commercial greenhouses for ornamental horticulture, vegetable production, and as educational teaching environments. Additionally, we also manufacture residential greenhouses, as well as a full line of metal buildings.

With an inventory inclusive of a complete line of accessories, coverings, heating equipment, cooling and ventilation equipment, and more, we continue to manufacture and stock the inventory we sell, allowing for unprecedented lead times and unparallel service to you, our valued customers.

The Grand Peak structure is the pinnacle that Atlas can provide. The sleek, upscale design paired with the unwavering strength of this frame creates a perfect design for research applications. This structure can meet extremely high demands, whether in coastal areas where tropical conditions persists, or areas where snow accumulation is a concern.

Offering the definition of versatility when discussing covering options, the Grand Peak is designed to be covered with 8mm twin wall polycarbonate, but can accommodate acylic, corrugated polycarbonate, and sheet metal options as well. This allows us to utilize this structure for both the greenhouse and headhouse in applications that are optimal. This structure is commonly partitioned off or divided into sections to create multiple zones for research purposes, which allows institutions to facilitate multiple research projects in one structure, while maximizing the results with the smallest footprint.

THE SCHOLAR™

Designed with a 2-inch square tubing galvanized base rail system for ease of construction, the Scholar™ Series by Atlas is available in either 12 or 16foot widths and any length in 6-foot increments, as well as side wall height options ranging from 5 to 8 feet.

The Scholar™ by Atlas is covered with a commercial grade 8-millimeter twinwall polycarbonate, which comes standard with a 10-year warranty and a 15 to 20-year life expectancy, and features a polycarbonate that is highly energy-efficient and provides years of maintenance-free use.

With properly sized cooling and heating equipment available to create the proper greenhouse environment, the Scholar™ offers optional accessories, including shade cloth, fans, shutters, cooling systems, gas or electric heaters, bench systems, and hanging basket rails and is the ideal structure for a conservative higher education and research budget.

At Atlas, we know that research in horticulture or agriculture knows no limits. We understand that not all research needs a topof-the-line, environmentally-controlled greenhouse and because of this, Atlas provides a versatile product line of structures designed to work well in high tunnel/cold frame research settings. Our frames offer strength, durability, and an economical option to conduct research when environmental control isn’t required.

BUDGET PLUS PACKAGE

OUR MOST POPULAR HIGH TUNNEL STRUCTURE

Our most popular high tunnel structure, the 30’ x 72’ Budget Plus is designed with a Gothic frame, which offers strength and height to accommodate most grower applications.

An excellent choice for a low-cost overwintering structure for the research center, the 6’ sidewall options provides 8’ of clearance at 2’ in from the sidewall and offers greater ventilation when equipped with sidewall curtains.

In addition, the peak height of 14’ allows ample space above the doors to accommodate gable louvers or fans for additional ventilation, if required.

THE SNOW ARCH

The Snow Arch is our most popular free-standing structures and is offered in widths of 16’,20’,24’,28’, and 30’ and sidewall heights of 4’ and 6.’ The versatility and strength of the Snow Arch allows for a wide range of uses across all market segments. Drop-down curtains or roll-up curtains, along with a ridge vent, can create a well-ventilated structure that’s functional and inexpensive to operate. For a more controlled environment, the Snow Arch can be equipped with fans, shutters, and evaporative cooling systems. The Snow Arch is an engineered structure, designed to meet the wind and snow requirements in most areas of the country. This structure has also been equipped with ground rails to function as a rainout shelter.

RT MAX MUSCLE

IDEAL FOR COMMERCIAL GROWTH & EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

The RT Max Muscle is a versatile structure, widely used by wholesale growers, hydroponic vegetable producers and transplant growers, to name a few. This greenhouse is also wellsuited as a low-tech research house when combined with polycarbonate wall covering. With straight sidewalls up to 10’ in height and with a semi-gothic roof design, the RT Max works extremely well as a naturally ventilated greenhouse when equipped with roll up curtains and ridge vent. It also works well when equipped with mechanical ventilation and cooling. With 2” x 4” rectangular column posts, and 2” x 3” bows, this greenhouse is strong enough to handle high winds and heavy snows. The RT Max Muscle is offered in 30’ and 35’ widths.

THE PRO-COM

The most cost-efficient model in its class, the Pro-Com Gutter Connect Series by Atlas is fully engineered, with bay width options varying from 22, 28, and 30-foot widths and constructed utilizing three by 3-inch square column posts, spaced every 12-feet, with 1.900-inch bows spaced at four or six-foot and trusses every 12-feet.

Designed and engineered to withstand most wind and snow loads throughout 75 percent of the United States without modifications, the low-cost per square foot ProCom allows growers to cover large areas economically. In addition, it works perfectly with our roll-up curtains to provide natural ventilation.

AQUAPONICS HYDROPONICS

In recent years, many educational institutions have migrated to incorporating other growing systems, such as hydroponics or aquaponics. When choosing a hydroponic system, Atlas Greenhouse offers several additional options with these types of growing systems.

One advantage of a hydroponic system is that it can be utilized for purposes beyond education. For example, when a sizeable greenhouse is selected, fresh food from the greenhouse can be used to provide food for a local school cafeteria, food bank, or even to the general public, which helps offset the cost of operation. When this pathway is taken, the educational applications are immensely amplified and instructors have the option of incorporating additional disciplines into the existing curriculum, which can include agribusiness, integrated pest management, logistics, if selling to other entities, and much more.

Properly sized ventilation options are crucial to the success of your greenhouse and Atlas offers a full-line of Quietaire slant wall fans, the ultimate in greenhouse ventilation.

With six-blade propellers with quiet operation at low RPM and aluminum dampers, our slant wall fans are available in standard size ranges from 30 to 48 inches, with additional options available.

ALUMINUM SHUTTERS

Our Inlet Shutters are made of mill finish extruded aluminum with aluminum pivot rods and nylon bearing and counter balanced blades to ensure smooth operation.

STEEL BOX FANS

HAF FANS

Our 18” HAF fans make heating and cooling more effective by evening out temperatures throughout the greenhouse.

CLIMATE CONTROL

Environmental Controls & Thermostats

Precise temperature settings will keep your crop at its optimum growing condition, resulting in faster maturity and uniformity. Step Controllers offer two stages of heating and four stages of cooling, allowing for day/night/ DIF settings. Controllers are typically used in conjunction with relays, which allow multiple pieces of equipment to be assigned to each stage.

SEED Controllers

Our newest addition to the Wadsworth lineup, the SEED Controller offers touchscreen climate control, which makes it remarkably easy to navigate with a high level of sophisticated capabilities. View equipment settings, overrides, lockout and setpoints from a single screen. The controller tracks vapor pressure deficit and daily light integral with seamless access from a multizone home screen to detailed settings for individual equipment.

EnviroSTEP Single Zone Controls

The EnviroSTEP Single Zone Control can connect up to 100 zones with three set points and includes Day, Night, DIF and 12 relay outputs with manual override switches. Two analog input channels are built-in for connecting lights, for CO2, RH, and temperature sensors.

CLIMATE CONTROL

Bartlett Controls

An affordable alternative to traditional thermostats, Bartlett Controls are reliable and easy to use. Programmable for one or two zones, this control system features 4 Cool, 2 Heat Outputs DIF, Day and Night Setting for each zone, and reduces hours spent monitoring greenhouse environments. Additionally, Bartlett Controls also feature alarm output, which advises of high and low temperature, and packages are available with pre-wired relay box for easy installation.

Thermostats

Our Thermostats are designed in two RainTight models, including a Single Stage Double Throw for fans or heaters, and a Two-Stage Double Throw for two stages of cooling. This model is also optional to add a Thermostat Panel to mount multiple devices. Built with a metal plate, sunshield and includes mounting brackets and hardware.

HEATING OPTIONS

Modine Heaters

At Atlas, we offer a full line of Modine Unit gas-fired heaters, with standard stock models including the PTP 150 - 400,000 BTU heaters. Available in LP (stock) or Natural Gas, our heaters come equipped with spark ignition and power vented exhaust, as well as standard with an aluminized heat exchanger and a 10-year warranty. We also offer the Effinity High Efficiency (93%) unit heaters, with models including the PTC 55 - 310,000 BTU units. Our Effinity models can dramatically reduce energy costs and CO2 emissions and come standard with a spark ignition, power-vented exhaust, and require a vented air intake.

Electric Commercial Heaters

For lower-ceiling applications, we recommend our horizontal air delivery type heater (HER), which have lower installation costs and are easier to install, requiring no venting, piping, values, traps, etc.

Additional features of these units include:

• Designed for long heat-throw, uniform heat delivery and reduced maintenance

SVENSSON CLIMATE SCREENS

An excellent solution for efficient greenhouse shading, the Svensson Shade Fabric provides the benefit of less heat load (to be removed by ventilation) for given shading value when compared to black shade fabric. These Shade Systems are secured with grommets spaced two-feet on the center, which makes the process of installing the fabric to the outside of the roof area, or underneath the bottom truss cord, much easier.

Included in our Educator Irrigation Package is the Dema Mix-Rite Fertilizer Injector, which makes feeding plants easier than ever.

RAINBIRD CONTROLLER

The Rainbird irrigation controller is designed to operate your irrigation system. The most commonly used controller features 7-zone capability, but can be expanded to a total of 13 zones. This controller automates both misters for bench top space, along with drippers for hanging baskets.

CURTAIN SYSTEMS

EZ ROLL-UP CURTAIN SYSTEM

Our EZ Roll-Up package includes everything needed for natural greenhouse ventilation. In addition, you can choose a manual crank or automatic system. Our heavy duty, 13 mil. coated 10 x 12 weave fabric (not 6 mil. poly) is UV treated and strong enough to withstand harsh conditions.

ECONOMY CURTAIN

Z-LOCK DROP DOWN CURTAIN SYSTEM

Our Z-Lock Drop Down Curtain System drops down for ventilation and is best suited for 4’ to 6’ high side walls. Our exclusive Z-Lock eave flange allows the curtain to seal and “locks” the roof poly securely into place. This package includes everything necessary with the exception of pressure-treated lumber required for the base. (Optional aluminum hat base is available).

Our Economy Curtain System is a more economical way to passively ventilate your high tunnel or coldframe. Growers prefer curtains that roll up from the middle as opposed to rolling up from the bottom; crank rotations are cut by half because our crank rod rolls from the middle. Our crank handle makes this sytem easy to operate. For even smoother operation, the crank package can be upgraded to include a 13:1 gear reduction box. Poly film can also be upgraded to strong 12 mil. curtain fabric. The Economy Curtain can be adapted to straight or curved side walls. System comes complete with crank handle, crank rod, curtain guides and all hardware necessary to install.

RENOVATE REFURBISH

At Atlas, not only do we specialize in manufacturing new cuttingedge greenhouses, but we can also refurbish old greenhouses that may have seen better days. These renovations can range from completely recovering the houses with variations of polycarbonate, replacing extrusions, and providing new equipment, to making the house as good as new!

In addition, Atlas understands that many aged houses may be considered historic, which may mean your only option is to update the greenhouse as opposed to demolishing and installing a new structure.
