Based in Alapaha, Georgia, Atlas Greenhouse is a manufacturer of commercial and educational greenhouse systems. Founded in 1986 as a regional greenhouse supplier, Atlas is now a leading provider of greenhouses internationally, with our facilities consisting of over 100,000 square feet of sales, manufacturing, and warehouse space.

In October of 2022, Atlas established a partnership with Mangrove Equity Partners, which has allowed Atlas to expand its salesforce to better serve our customers throughout the United States.

At Atlas, we manufacture commercial greenhouses for ornamental horticulture, vegetable production, and as educational teaching environments. Additionally, we also manufacture residential greenhouses, as well as a full line of metal buildings.

With an inventory inclusive of a complete line of accessories, coverings, heating equipment, cooling and ventilation equipment, and more, we continue to manufacture and stock the inventory we sell, allowing for unprecedented lead times and unparallel service to you, our valued customers.

THE SCHOLAR™

Designed with a 2-inch square tubing galvanized base rail system for ease of construction, the Scholar™ Series by Atlas is available in either 12 or 16foot widths and any length in 6-foot increments, as well as side wall height options ranging from 5 to 8 feet.

The Scholar™ by Atlas is covered with a commercial grade 8-millimeter twinwall polycarbonate, which comes standard with a 10-year warranty and a 15 to 20-year life expectancy, and features a polycarbonate that is highly energy-efficient and provides years of maintenance-free use.

With properly sized cooling and heating equipment available to create the proper greenhouse environment, the Scholar™ offers optional accessories, including shade cloth, fans, shutters, cooling systems, gas or electric heaters, bench systems, and hanging basket rails and is the ideal structure for a conservative school budget.

MECHANICAL VENTILATION & COOLING

GREENHOUSE SHUTTERS, FANS & VENTS

EVAPORATIVE COOLING PAD

Available in 5-foot increments, the Atlas Evaporative Cooling Pad System comes complete with pump, float valve, and all required plumbing. Our stainless steel trough contains enough water capacity to function without a sump tank, producing a user-friendly self-contained system.

System Includes:

• Stainless steel trough and top cover plate

WALL VENT

Our Atlas automatic wall vent protects and seals off the cooling pad system and offers superior intake ventilation when compared to shutters. This system comes complete with rack and pinion drive, crank pipe and 24-volt motor.

System Includes:

• 1.315 x 14-gauge crank rod

• All steel rack and pinion drive

SLANT WALL FANS

Properly sized ventilation options are crucial to the success of your greenhouse and Atlas offers a full-line of Quietaire slant wall fans, the ultimate in greenhouse ventilation.

With six-blade propellers with quiet operation at low RPM and aluminum dampers, our slant wall fans are available in standard size ranges from 30 to 48 inches, with additional options available.

ALUMINUM SHUTTERS

Our Inlet Shutters are made of mill finish extruded aluminum with aluminum pivot rods and nylon bearing and counter balanced blades to ensure smooth operation.

STEEL BOX FANS

Our Quietaire steel box fans installed in the gable of the greenhouse provide an excellent first stage of ventilation. An economical alternative to our Slant Wall Fan, our Steel Box Fans feature a 3/4 HP direct drive motor with an aluminum exhaust shutter.

HAF FANS

Our 18” HAF fans make heating and cooling more effective by evening out temperatures throughout the greenhouse. Airflow reduces disease risk, circulates heat efficiently, and minimizes stagnant air.

CLIMATE CONTROL

Environmental Controls & Thermostats

Precise temperature settings will keep your crop at its optimum growing condition, resulting in faster maturity and uniformity. Step Controllers offer two stages of heating and four stages of cooling, allowing for day/night/ DIF settings. Controllers are typically used in conjunction with relays, which allow multiple pieces of equipment to be assigned to each stage.

SEED Controllers

Our newest addition to the Wadsworth lineup, the SEED Controller offers touchscreen climate control, which makes it remarkably easy to navigate with a high level of sophisticated capabilities. View equipment settings, overrides, lockout and setpoints from a single screen. The controller tracks vapor pressure deficit and daily light integral with seamless access from a multizone home screen to detailed settings for individual equipment.

EnviroSTEP Single Zone Controls

The EnviroSTEP Single Zone Control can connect up to 100 zones with three set points and includes Day, Night, DIF and 12 relay outputs with manual override switches. Two analog input channels are built-in for connecting lights, for CO2, RH, and temperature sensors.

CLIMATE CONTROL

Bartlett Controls

An affordable alternative to traditional thermostats, Bartlett Controls are reliable and easy to use. Programmable for one or two zones, this control system features 4 Cool, 2 Heat Outputs DIF, Day and Night Setting for each zone, and reduces hours spent monitoring greenhouse environments. Additionally, Bartlett Controls also feature alarm output, which advises of high and low temperature, and packages are available with pre-wired relay box for easy installation.

Thermostats

Our Thermostats are designed in two RainTight models, including a Single Stage Double Throw for fans or heaters, and a Two-Stage Double Throw for two stages of cooling. This model is also optional to add a Thermostat Panel to mount multiple devices. Built with a metal plate, sunshield and includes mounting brackets and hardware.

HEATING OPTIONS

Modine Heaters

At Atlas, we offer a full line of Modine Unit gas-fired heaters, with standard stock models including the PTP 150 - 400,000 BTU heaters. Available in LP (stock) or Natural Gas, our heaters come equipped with spark ignition and power vented exhaust, as well as standard with an aluminized heat exchanger and a 10-year warranty. We also offer the Effinity High Efficiency (93%) unit heaters, with models including the PTC 55 - 310,000 BTU units. Our Effinity models can dramatically reduce energy costs and CO2 emissions and come standard with a spark ignition, power-vented exhaust, and require a vented air intake.

Electric Commercial Heaters

For lower-ceiling applications, we recommend our horizontal air delivery type heater (HER), which have lower installation costs and are easier to install, requiring no venting, piping, values, traps, etc.

Additional features of these units include:

• Designed for long heat-throw, uniform heat delivery and reduced maintenance

• Hinged bottom panels for easy control access

• Deflector blades can be adjusted for heat dispersal

• Motors are enclosed and protected from thermal overload

• Made in the USA

SHADE SOLUTIONS

SVENSSON CLIMATE SCREENS

An excellent solution for efficient greenhouse shading, the Svensson Shade Fabric provides the benefit of less heat load (to be removed by ventilation) for given shading value when compared to black shade fabric. These Shade Systems are secured with grommets spaced two-feet on the center, which makes the process of installing the fabric to the outside of the roof area, or underneath the bottom truss cord, much easier.

Multiple Shade Percentages available to order in any width or length.

GREENHOUSE IRRIGATION

EDUCATOR IRRIGATION

The Educator Irrigation Package automates your greenhouse watering, producing a more uniform crop, while freeing up time for other things.

DEMA MIX-RITE FERTILIZER

Included in our Educator Irrigation Package is the Dema Mix-Rite Fertilizer Injector, which makes feeding plants easier than ever. In addition, we include a filter, backflow preventor, pressure regulator, by-pass valve and shut-off valves. PVC pipes and fittings not included.

7-ZONE CONTROLLER

The Educator Irrigation Package includes our 7-Zone Controller (may expand up to 13 zones), hanging basket drippers on each rail and hanging misters over each bench. Solenoid Valves are also included for each zone.

GREENHOUSE INSTALLATION

An educational greenhouse is a significant investment and a valuable teaching tool, and we believe that proper installation is key to the success of this project. Atlas provides full installation of all our educational greenhouses, with installation options ranging from basic to a full turn-key installation, including electrical and plumbing. All installation quotes are built into the full project estimate.
