Admission Use these 7 steps to become an International Student at Mykolas Romeris University:

Step 1 Get familiar with the International Degree Students

Application and Admission Procedure. Go to www.mruni. eu – Prospective Students – Admission Procedure.

Step 2 Submit Application Documents to University – all

documents must be translated into the Lithuanian or the English language.

Step 3 Apply to the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education for your school transcript and diploma evaluation. Go to www.skvc.lt – Qualification Recognition for more information.

Step 4 Meet Application Deadlines depending on your

country of origin: Spring Intake Application Deadlines (beginning of studies 1st of February, 2014): October 1st, 2013 Applicants from countries, whose citizens need visas to enter the Republic of Lithuania and with no Lithuanian Embassy in it (All countries not listed below). December 1st, 2013 Applicants from countries, whose citizens need visas to enter the Republic of Lithuania and with a Lithuanian Embassy there (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, China, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine). December 15th, 2013 Applicants from countries, whose citizens do not require visas to enter the Republic of Lithuania (European Union countries, Albania, Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Honduras, Iceland, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Saint Kitts and Nevis, San Marino, El Salvador, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City, Venezuela). English Language Proficiency Requirements Programmes are conducted exclusively in English. For this reason, students are expected to be proficient in written and spoken English. Undergraduate students must have B1 or higher Level (following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages approved by the Council of Europe). Assessments of the English language proficiency certificates equivalent to level B1: TOEFL Paper 477-510, TOEFL IBT 53-64, IELTS 4.5-5.0. Those who do not have a certificate attesting to their English language skills (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.) and submitted application documents for degree programmes, can take the English language level test via long distance.

Step 5 Receive an Acceptance Letter from the University and pay tuition fee for the first study year.

Step 7 Register to Studies. International students shall

arrive for studies not later than on October 15th for the Autumn Semester or February 15th for the Spring Semester.

Studying at MRU Study Options

What is MRU?

Mykolas Romeris University is a leading institution of higher education in Lithuania, according to criteria of internationalization. It is a state university with about 18 000 students, including 500 international degreeseeking and exchange students from almost 50 countries.

Why choose MRU?

Study programmes offered at MRU are continuously renewed and updated, responding to the needs of society and providing young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a successful career. In 2010 Mykolas Romeris University was awarded the Diploma Suplement Label, which indicates that the Diploma Supplement of MRU meets the European Commission’s, the Council of Europe’s and UNESCO/ CEPER’ created sample. In 2012 Mykolas Romeris University was awarded the ECTS Label. The label raises the profile of the institution as a transparent and reliable partner in European and international cooperation (awarded to only 64 institutions in Europe, only 2 in Lithuania). It is one of the most important signs attesting to a high quality of studies at the University.

Is the diploma recognized worldwide?

After your studies you will receive Bachelor’s Degree diploma, which is recognized in all the countries which have signed the Lisbon Convention (signed by 50 countries and international organizations, such as European Union, USA, Australia, Canada, Israel, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia etc). That means you can be sure that the qualifications gained in Lithuania will be valid in all these countries.

How long will I be studying for?

A single degree takes three and a half years to complete. Later, you can continue your Master’s Degree studies, which will take one and half or two years.

Where will I study?

By choosing studies at MRU you will be studying in the Lithuanian capital city of Vilnius. We have a green campus, surrounded by a park, 8 kilometers away from the Vilnius city centre.

How much will it cost?

Tuition fee for undergraduate studies varies from 1128 to 2160 Euros per year. You will also need to rent an apartment or dorm room. We offer accommodation on campus in the University’s Students House. A place in a double room costs 60 Euros per month. Overall living expenses per month are about 350-450 Euros.
