EACH MONTH WE’LL BE CHECKING IN WITH THE VHS FOR THE LATEST GOOD NEWS AND TO HELP FIND FUREVER HOMES FOR SOME OF THEIR MORE UNIQUE AND OLDER RESIDENTS

RAIDER: Prepare to meet the man of your dreams. He’s tall, smart AND handsome. Raider, a 2-year-old coonhound, is (almost) the total package. When he first arrived at VHS, he was a bit of a hot mess. After VHS staff started working with him, they quickly learned he just needed more daily enrichment. He's extremely motivated by treats and loves being taught new tricks. He would thrive in an active, dog-savvy home and would need continued structure and training. In return for the time spent on him, Raider’s new family will receive endless laughs and lots of zoomies. His adoption fee is $150 and includes his neuter, microchip and up-to-date vaccines.

RAJA: Meet Raja! She's a 13-year-old female torbie at VHS. Her fur is luxurious and coloring unique. All she knows is roll around, look cute and get pets. That's fine, though…At her age, she’s earned it! She was so scared when she first arrived at VHS, all she could do was tremble in the corner of her enclosure. It didn’t take long, however, for her to start showing off her sweet and silly personality. She doesn’t care much for other pets and would prefer to be the reigning queen of her new domain. Raja’s adoption fee is $80, but is eligible for our Pets for Seniors program.

CREAM: Cute bunnies rule everything around me, CREAM… This 4-month-old female Rex rabbit, Cream, is ready to hip hop her way into your heart. Rex bunnies are known for being super social and even maternal to buns they grow up with. Cream would love having a rabbit friend and would likely adapt quickly to others. Cream’s adoption fee is $50 and includes her spay and microchip.
