EACH MONTH WE’LL BE CHECKING IN WITH THE VHS FOR THE LATEST GOOD NEWS AND TO HELP FIND FUREVER HOMES FOR SOME OF THEIR MORE UNIQUE AND OLDER RESIDENTS
DAISY: Every day is better with a dollop of Daisy! Don’t believe us? Come meet her and see for yourself! This mild-mannered 7-year-old gal is looking for a nice, quiet retirement home to spend her golden years in. She would prefer to be in an adult-only home, as she does not vibe with the kiddos. Her favorite pastimes include snoozing on the couch, taking short walks, and being near her person. She would make a fantastic companion for someone who stays home all day and is eligible for our Pets for Seniors Program. Her adoption fee for those under 70 years young is $150. Come meet her at the VHS.
GARLIC: Meet our longest cat resident at the VHS - Garlic. She's a shy 1.5-year-old girl who has been with the VHS since August of 2021! Pets in general, including Garlic, have been known to help boost the body’s immune system, reduce blood pressure, reduce cholesterol levels, and even help prevent cancer! There are so many reasons to adopt Garlic, just give her a try… We think you’ll love her! Her adoption fee is $80 and includes her spay, microchip and vaccinations. You can visit her in the open cat room at the VHS!
ORION: What’s that old saying, “the bigger the ears, the closer to heaven?” In any case, “My, what big ears you have!” is something Orion hears ALL THE TIME. Here’s the kicker…they’re only going to get bigger! Orion is a super social 7-month-old Flemish Giant. His type can get up to 15 pounds and measure a few feet long! So make sure you’re ready for an extra large bun. Flemish Giants are known for being one of the calmest and most friendly breeds of rabbit. They are very sweet with their owners and are great house pets! Interested in becoming a proud bunny owner? Come visit Orion and friends at the VHS. His adoption fee is $50 and includes his neuter and microchip.
