by mere instinct when we have been led to believe that history is measured by dates and heroes, leaving behind political, social and cultural processes; the actors and their spaces; architecture and its geography; the climate, flora and fauna and other elements that have made the city and its surroundings a place that has been alive for 472 years.

The titles have been of importance for the city and its inhabitants, it has been recognized since its foundation to date; noble titles that speak of its importance in the economic contribution to the Spanish crown during the colony, others that evoke the warlike past from the 19th century to the 20th with the taking of Zacatecas; while the new and not least important, boast of the cultural offer. We live in a Heritage City, full of museums that guard an invaluable amount of art, a city that contains architectural jewels and that is surrounded by natural sites that have seen

ancestral, Spanish, Creole, mestizo and other castes, passing through time, they became citizens. We belong to a State that has five magical towns (Nochistlán, Jerez, Teúl de González Ortega, Pinos and Sombrerete), of which surely, if we are not native of any of them, we have only allowed ourselves to know the one that is closest to us . We are the State that offers cultural events to attract national and international tourism, or to attract the co-nationals who emigrated in search of better opportunities. Zacatecas continues as it did 472 years ago, building hiself in its surroun-

ding areas, with a growing population that still feeds on tunas, nopales, maguey, mezcal, burritos, etc. He continues to be a migrant town as were the first zacatecans, like the nomadic tribes or the miners who emigrated to search of new opportunities and veins of mines opened up. We belong to a society in movement, one that educates and presumes the terroir wherever they migrate; We keep our history and traditions almost in a feudal style, attached to the land, beliefs and to a calm lifestyle, enclosed within its imaginary walls that rise between the hills, where each

surveillance post was designated by each of the convents. We live in a city and among citizens who stopped in time, we adhere in a convenient way to the UNESCO regulations, such as art. 13, which states: "Repairs, restorations or modifications of the property belonging to the Cultural Heritage can’t be made without prior authorization from the Institute". While visible and historic palaces remain standing, others see them crumble before our eyes and the peaceful gaze of the feudal citizens, even so, we have much to celebrate, but also, a lot to occupy us.

I
t is shocking the first moment you step on the Historical Center of the city; a multisensory delight. The fresh air, the striking colors of the quarry and the warm tones used to decorate the buildings with colonial architecture. The sounds of a calm environment and the smells of hundreds of new flavors to be discovered. It will be enough to walk down Hidalgo Avenue (main street of the city) and be shocked by the landscape that is offered before your eyes, this will cause you the sensation of wanting to stay and not leave Zacatecas. Without doubt an unforgettable experience. You just have to walk past the conglomerate Hidalgo Avenue to discover the little gems that adorn our Crown. Old houses that are part of our history, old colonial palaces surrounded by dream alleys and squares that are transformed into natural settings before any kind of cultural activity.

+ Within the ancient architecture that once held a large number of monks, is now a large artistic collection of Zacatecan creators that you should not hesitate to visit; the lines of Felguérez, the impressive works of the Coronel brothers and the music of M. Ponce, will make you vibrate before their presence. The visual impact will not leave behind that of smell, if what you are looking for is to eat, you just have to let the smells of the typical Zacatecan’s food guide you; Delight yourself with a "poisoned taco" or "enchiladas" as prepared from the north to the south of the state. Already in winter season, the sunset will fall in love with you, the sky creates new tonalities that go from light blue to a darker one, passing through orange tones. Meanwhile, the center of the city is transformed into a romantic and warm place for its illumination, which will make you forget the low temperatures. If you travel through alleys and squares, you can find several appetizers that will be essential if you want to know the roots of the capital; a "esquite" of Guerrero Street or a "tamal" of Genaro Codina square is a must. If the cold is too much and the “atole” de masa does not take away from you, among the alleys you can find a bar where you can have a good “mescal”; It can be from Huitzila, from Pinos or Jalpa, anybody will make you recover body heat. For dinner, let yourself be surprised by the "enchiladas de colores" or a good "pozole" from the different cenadurias of the capital; Without a doubt, you will return with a few extra pounds.

Undoubtedly, the "Holy Week" in Zacatecas is lived with great movement; is that only with the Cultural Festival is enough to have a wide variety of events to which you can go with the whole family. The squares and streets of the capital and its municipalities become a stage that allows different artistic expressions such as dance, theater, music and painting, to make a better stay for locals and strangers alike. And it is that the mergers of contemporary music take over the plazuela Miguel Auza with the purest and most avant-garde manifestations that can be seen in Zacatecas and the world. Plazuela Goitia is the vernacular scene, where artistic manifestations range from mariachi, folklore and theatricality to the Mexican label. Plaza de Armas becomes Zacatecas' biggest cultural scene when the lights are deployed and, they receive thousands of people who delight in great artists of international stature; this venue has received Joaquin Sabina, Kitaro, El Cigala, Bob Dylan, Diana Krall, Gloria Gaynor, among others. One of the main attractions of Holy Friday, is the Procession of Silence, involving hundreds of parishioners who impregnate the streets of downtown with magic and mysticism.

Undoubtedly, one of the most anticipated events at the national level is the Zacatecas Festival of International Folklore, which brings together the traditional expressions of various countries of the world, mainly Latin America, which fills the State with a multicultural essence. The main avenue is full of color with the great parades that transmit to all visitors of tradition and joy, an indescribable magic and that you have to live at least once in your life. Although the festival lasts only a week, if you do not like the cold in extreme, this is an excellent date to attend Zacatecas, since the temperate climate will leave a great taste in your mouth and, without a doubt, you will want to return.

A LEGACY O HOW IS THE NAME GIVEN TO THE MAGICAL TOWNS?
Since 2001, the Ministry of Tourism has promoted a program aimed at the Peoples of Mexico, which seeks to preserve, promote and safeguard the cultural wealth of these places.
To grant such an appointment, the Sectur values that the places have symbolic attributes, stories, legends and socio-cultural manifestations that will be of great opportunity for tourist use.
SECTUR
On the part of the federal and state governments, 400 million pesos are distributed to each selected population, which to date totals 111 demarcations.
The objective is to revalue places that treasure spaces and stories that represent riches to show tourism.

HOW TO BE A MAGICAL TOWN? They have a symbolic tourist attraction as a reference

Those interested should send a request for incorporation through the municipal and state authorities. • The valuation will be carried out by federal government agencies. Civil society must have a petition for incorporation. • A manager acting at the three levels of government must be elected as representative-liaison.
• Community participation strategies must be developed. • The appointment will be monitored and submitted to the designations of SECTUR. • Must have a financial contribution (departure) of at least 3 years for the implementation of the program..
CAN THE APPOINTMENT BE LOST?
The SECTUR has sent letters to several villages to prevent them from losing their designation; inviting them to implement tourist strategies and cultural tours. If any of these places lost their appointment, they could recover it if they ratified the problems indicated by the federal agency.

HE CAMINO REAL DE TIERRA ADENTRO WAS THE COMMERCIAL ROUTE THAT CONNECTED FROM THE COLONIAL PERIOD, SANTA FE, CALIFORNIA, WITH THE CENTER OF MEXICO; THE GAP THAT UNITED CULTURES AND TRADITIONS. CURRENTLY, THE ORIGINAL ROUTE HAS FADED OVER TIME, BUT NOT THE VESTIGES THAT SPEAK OF IT, AS RECENTLY DISCOVERED AND THAT HAS SHOWN US THE MAGIC OF CERTAIN CORNERS THAT WE SOMETIMES DO NOT KNOW.

When we think of Zacatecas, its historical, mining and gastronomic wealth always comes to mind. The varied climate that occurs in different regions of the state, has allowed the production of native fruits and cacti such as: tuna, cactus and agave, as well as imported: guava, grape, etc. Due perhaps to the proximity of Jalisco, mezcal has been classified as a traditional drink, although in the area bordering San Luis PotosĂ it is also produced.

Right on the old land that once connected San Luis with Zacatecas through the Camino Real; On one side of the current road 45, is the wine that bears the name of the old commercial route of Tierra Adentro. It seems ridiculous that, less than 25 minutes from the capital, there are 50 hectares planted with grapes at an altitude of 2,300 meters, which is surprising not only because of the height but also because of the semi-desert zone. The vineyard has taken great importance as a tourist destination not only for the variety of wines(Malbec, Merlot, Syrah, Mezcla Bordelesa, Blend Trivarietal, Merlot Rosado, Blanc De Blancs y Sauvignon Blanc), which, by the way, have been awarded medals gold and silver in world competitions in Brussels (2015

After the train trip, you access the space where wine production takes place, a perfect combination between the industrial and the artisan; you can appreciate the barrels of French and American cedar that, in four years, become valuable works of art manipulated by artists from Zacatecas such as Manuel FelguĂŠrez, Poncho LĂłpez Monreal, Gaby SuĂĄrez del Real, among others, who transmit to the viewer a trip multisensory. The site becomes more than just a high wine producer and in more than one place to receive people interested in it, it becomes a visual experience where the red earth and the blue skies characteristic of Zacatecas make it worth crossing the place. This is a trip that you should take advantage of between
spring and autumn, which is when you can appreciate the different nuances of the plants, although the whole year is available. So, if you visit Zacatecas at any time of year, do not hesitate to visit the Campo Real vineyard.
