Wells Fargo Championship

ADVANCING PEDIATRIC RESEARCH AND PATIENT CARE

For years, Champions for Education has been a driving force behind pediatric research and care advancements at Levine Children’s Hospital through its premier tournament – the Wells Fargo Championship. With the continued support of fans of the tournament, Champions for Education is proud to make an annual donation to Levine Children’s. Most recently, the organization made its largest gift to date – $300,000 to support Jeffrey Huo, MD, PhD, and his translational research in the Levine Children’s Pediatric Oncology lab.

Through Dr. Huo's research, he hopes to predict relapse or progression of Ewing Sarcoma. In addition, this program will use genetic information to tailor treatment plans for individual patients. With support from philanthropy, this cutting-edge approach to treatment, known as precision medicine, will continue to bring novel cancer treatments and hope to patients at Levine Children’s.
