THE UNIVERSITY

20 www.arkansastechsports.com

Arkansas Tech University, with its spacious 516-acre campus, is located on the northern edge of the city of Russellville. This growing community, with a population of approximately 28,000, is ideally situated between the mountains of the Ozark National Forest on the north and those of the Ouachita National Forest on the south. It is midway between the state’s two largest population centers, Fort Smith, 85 miles to the west, and Little Rock, 75 miles to the east. Interstate Highway 40 passes just north of the campus and connects these two cities.

2013-14 WONDER BOYS BASKETBALL In addition to its top-notch academic offerings, Arkansas Tech offers students a great variety of campus activities. Campus Recreation provides participation in a variety of sport, fitness, and recreational events; Greek Life promotes fraternities and sororities as an integral and productive part of the university community; Student Activities provides various events throughout the year to include comedians, movies, carnivals, dances, concerts, speakers, and many more; Student Orientation provides an experience that helps incoming students gain a full understanding of the campus culture; and Student Life creates and fosters initiatives for Arkansas Tech students to enrich their co-curricular experiences through leadership development, civic engagement, and involvement opportunities.
