A message from the Workshops and Education Manager
ATYP Education 2021 05
As the new Workshops and Education Manager at ATYP, I am proud and excited to launch our 2021 Education season.
At ATYP we have created a range of innovative offerings for you and your students. We have come up with exciting educational programs to share face-toface, online and onstage.
Our new programs include: The Intersection Festival - the creative reimagining of our popular Voices Project and Intersection plays, the festival gives your students the opportunity to create, perform, film and share their interpretation of brand new work written by some of Australia’s best new writers’ with a showcase performance in 2021.
ATYP Theatre Flat-Pack - where we co-produce an ATYP play with you at your school. We have packaged up eight of our most successful plays, and will provide scripts, support material and an Industry Director, Designer and/or Stage Manager to work with you and your students to bring the play to life in your space. In 2021 we have programmed three online Teacher PD sessions with extraordinary theatre practitioners: Alana Valentine on Verbatim Theatre and Parramatta Girls; Yve Blake, the creator/writer of Fangirls, who will take you through Digital Storytelling possibilities; and our Artistic Director, Fraser Corfield.
Our new Australia-wide Primary School program, On Demand Plus gives primary teachers access to a catalogue of detailed, multi-week units of work that use participatory learning and drama strategies to explore the F-6 Drama curriculum.
We look forward to working with you to provide innovative education experiences, giving you access to new Australian work for young people, theatre practitioners, festivals and workshops.
See you in 2021!
