Our Education Workshops give your students a practical experience in specific areas of drama and the drama curriculum. As the national youth theatre company, we are experts in youth practice, and can tailor our workshops to Secondary drama classes and Primary year groups.

ATYP’s team of professional teaching artists have a range of skills in Theatre and Performance and can deliver innovative, practical workshops at our venue Eighteen80 in Surry Hills, at your school or online, beamed live directly into your classrooms. No matter what stage you teach or where you’re located, it’s never been easier to give your students a topquality drama experience!

Standard ATYP workshops include: • Devising/Playbuilding • improvisation • Performing a Monologue • Physical Theatre • HSC Drama Curriculum Workshops: Australian Theatre, Verbatim Theatre, Approaches to Acting • voice • Storytelling HSC Design: Poster and Promotion (with the ATYP Marketing team) HSC Costume Design (with an ATYP Designer) HSC Set Design (with an ATYP Designer).

Work Experience ATYP offers an immersive Work Experience program for students studying Drama in Year 10 or VET Entertainment in Year 11. Students are included in the day-to-day running of our company and will experience working with a range of departments including production, workshops, marketing, education and writing.
