guidelines 1. Arts Umbrella programs can be an intensive learning experience. As there is no play-activity component to Arts Umbrella programs, it can be challenging for very young artists to participate for an entire day. Please consider your child’s needs and comfort level before registering for a full day of classes. 2. For Spring Break Programs: Children aged 3–4 years must have experience being in a classroom setting without a parent/guardian present. 3. If you register your child for the same classes in Session 1 and Session 2, they may encounter the same activities. 4. Full day participants are responsible for their own, peanut-free lunches and snacks. Participants 13 years and older will not be supervised during lunch break. 5. For safety reasons, participants require a basic understanding of the English language. 6. Information in this brochure is considered correct at time of printing, and may be subject to change. Please refer to www.artsumbrella.com for the most up-to-date information.
withdrawals, transfer & refund policies All withdrawal and transfer requests must be received in writing. Non-attendance or nonpayment of outstanding fees does not constitute a formal withdrawal. Requests may be dropped off, faxed to 604.681.5285 or e-mailed to registration@artsumbrella.com. FEES AND DEADLINES • Withdrawals: A refund less $100 (full-day) or $50 (half-day) will be issued up to 2 weeks before the start of the program; after this time no refunds will be issued. • Transfers: A $50 fee applies to transfers. ILLNESS OR INJURY A pro-rated refund may be issued outside of the above time guidelines if a written request is accompanied by a physician’s note. REMOVAL FOR CONDUCT Arts Umbrella reserves the right to remove any student who fails to comply with its rules and regulations or who engages in any activity deemed contrary to the fulfillment of Arts Umbrella’s objectives by the Director, Programming. In such an event, Arts Umbrella will be owed the fees for the complete program. Bursary recipients will be asked to reimburse the full value of any bursaries used towards their current registration.
