Welcome to Eyrie Theatre Company’s presentation of The Addams Family. We are so excited and grateful that you are here, and we hope you have a great time in this wonderful venue! This show has been so much fun for all of us involved in performing it for you tonight. While it is about unusual people (to say the least) who like the macabre and eccentric side of life, it is also about family and staying true to yourself and the people who love you. The Addams Family is absolutely devoted to each other, and that message of devotion and community has carried over to our cast and crew, who have built this beautiful production together as a family community. That message of community is one that we at Holy Trinity and Eyrie Theatre Company, especially, emphasize with our students. We are dedicated to building community, first and foremost. Our theatre company is a place where students can take risks, step out of their comfort zones and gain a different perspective in a place that is safe and accepts everyone. Just as we see in the show, there is no such thing as being “normal!” Everyone has their own special gifts and talents, and we celebrate each and every one of them! We are privileged and blessed to be a part of helping students discover their special gifts and talents, and we are beyond proud to offer the opportunity to participate in theatre to students in grades 1 through 8 this year. We are so blessed to be part of a school community that supports the performing arts, and especially blessed to be able to carry on the legacy of this beautiful, historic theater, which we will begin renovations on this summer! A M E S S A G E F R O M T H E P R I N C I PA L We are thrilled you can join us for this amazing show! Mrs. Harrington and the entire cast and crew have worked exceptionally hard on this production over the last several months. Along the way, they have developed an outstanding community that supports and encourages each other to take risks on the stage and to find their potential as performing artists. Our Eyrie Theatre Company continues to grow with nearly 40% of our student population involved in our performing arts. We are extremely proud of the talent and passion these students and adults possess to put on such incredible performances. We hope you will join us again at the end of April as our 1st-5th grade students take the stage for their performances! Holy Trinity is a blessed, Catholic community unlike any in the Archdiocese of Louisville. It is one where, a few short years ago, we had a dream of a state-of-the-art theater for our students, and now we have this space where that dream can be realized. Our For Every Child campaign continues as we prepare to renovate and modernize this charming theater, not just for our students, but for students across the Archdiocese and the City of Louisville. We believe that all students should have the opportunity to follow their passions and dreams and do so in a place that can showcase their talents to the fullest. Built in 1929, the Eifler Theater has hosted performances and productions for almost 100 years, and we need to invest in it now so it can endure another 100 years. We need everyone’s help to allow this dream to become a reality. After experiencing supply chain concerns and other COVID related delays, Phase 1 renovations are set to begin in June. Our wonderful theater will be getting a new stage, new wiring, new lights, and new sound equipment. Our goal is to raise enough to begin Phase 2 renovations simultaneously so that next year’s performances take place in a completely renovated space. I ask that you prayerfully consider donating to our theater program in a meaningful way. It is truly an investment that will positively impact the lives of your children and grandchildren. O U R 8 T H G R A D E R S : A F I N A L C U R TA I N C A L L Sarah-Frances Blevins (Morticia Addams) As I look back on my Eyrie Theatre experience, I couldn’t be more grateful for everything and everyone that has gotten me to this point. As I continue on my theater journey at Sacred Heart, I hope to find half the community I’ve found here. I’m incredibly blessed and humbled to be surrounded by such talent and commitment. With my last show I want to thank my director, my friends and my family for their continuous support. Though my heart breaks that my journey at Eyrie Theatre Company has come to an end, I know that I will cherish all that we have accomplished and I will carry these memories of my time here for the rest of my life. I hope my last show here will be one to remember. Enjoy the show! Lyla Heiden (Alice Beineke) My time in theatre started in the cafeteria in 1st grade with a simple hello. Now my time is coming to an end, and it is such a hard goodbye. I have learned so much and met so many wonderful people. It has given me so much and I have given it so much. This is my family. It is time for me to leave the nest. I am not going to say goodbye, I am simply going to say “see you later” because I know that I will be back. It could be next year, or it could be in five years, but I will be back. So... see you later Eyrie Theatre! I can’t wait to come back. Kaye Murphy (Fester Addams) Ever since I was in 1st grade, I’ve been waiting for this moment, dreaming for the day that I can say “Look at me! I did it!” But now it’s here. Now it’s my turn. How do I leave behind such an influential part of who I am? How do I top this? How do I leave knowing that this will end, being 12
just a fond memory? There’s so many questions to ask, so many things to say, way too many “thank yous,” and so little time. Eyrie Theatre will always be a part of me and I will always be a part of it. From costume design to lighting crew, I love you all. So thank you for being so willing to go on this journey with me. I’m sad to go, but I know have to. Goodbye Eyrie Theatre, and thank you for showing me who I am. I leave you with one more thing: Please enjoy the show! Alex Reynolds (Gomez Addams) I came to Holy Trinity in the 5th Grade. Mrs. Harrington encouraged me to be in the Monsters show and talent show. I have been hooked on musical theater ever since. The older kids in Beauty and the Beast cast took me under their wing and made me feel like part of a special group. Performing at Eyrie Theatre last year in Rock of Ages and this year's Addams Family, I have made really good friends that I hope to stay in touch with during High School. I am thankful to have a place like Eyrie Theatre to perform in and I am thankful for Mrs. Harrington's dedication to help us shine! Anna Schmitt (Wednesday Addams) Well we’re finally here, our last bow, our final curtain call. It’s the epic ending to this major part of my life that I’ve always dreamed about. But now, as we approach the end to our journey at Eyrie Theatre I couldn’t feel less ready to leave. First I’d like to thank my director my captain Mrs. Harrington, I salute you! And of course to my best friends and family for always being there for me and supporting me in whatever path I chose. And last but certainly not least I’d like to thank Eyrie Theatre for teaching me that

friends can become more like family in a matter of months. So I would like to pay tribute to Beauty and the Beast, the rose petals that never fell, to Rock of Ages that taught me to never stop believing, and to The Addams Family that has shown me that it doesn’t matter if life “pulls” you in a new direction those that truly love you will always be there. As sad as it makes me to be performing on this stage one last time, I know that everyone here has been preparing me to go out with a bang and begin a new chapter. I love every single one of you with all of my heart! I will never forget you!

Company is a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students build community and develop amazing friendships. Students working on the stage crew are just as important as the student performing the leading role. Each member of the cast and crew depends on one another to create a successful production. They learn that teamwork is critical for success! EIFLER THEATER RENOVATION PLANS The Eifler Theater, built in 1929, is a beautiful, historic space and a wonderful asset to the Louisville performing arts community. Holy Trinity Parish is excited for the opportunity to continue the vision and passion of Fr. Jerry Eifler in supporting the local arts. As part of our For Every Child campaign, the Eifler Theater will be restored and enhanced, bringing it back to its original glory for all to enjoy.
