How to Register for City of Aurora’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space Programming:
REGISTER ONLINE THROUGH PERFECTMIND
PerfectMind, our 24/7 online registration system is the most convenient way to register for programming and purchase recreation membership passes. Visit CityOfAurora.PerfectMind.com to access the portal.
All users will need to create an account to gain access to PerfectMind. Users will be assigned a temporary security password through the email that they registered with. After logging in with the security password, users will be prompted to enter a password of their choosing. If you need assistance please contact a recreation center during operating hours or send an email to recreation@auroragov.org. Email inquiries typically receive a response within two business days.

ZIPLINING OVER CLEAR CREEK*

Experience one of the highest, longest and most exhilarating high tower zip line tours in Colorado. Climb the sky high 65’ towers then soar across 8 separate zip lines for nearly a mile of pure zipping thrills as you cross Clear Creek three times! Come join us for a walk down the river! Class is held in the lazy river at Southeast Indoor Pool. Focus on cardio strength with resistance from the current.

This high-energy aquatic workout fuses South American Zumba rhythm and dance steps with a pool party. Aqua Zumba gives participants all the benefits of a challenging, fun, body-toning workout –in the water!

Level Guide
Parent and Tot (Ages 6 months-2 years)
Level 1: An introduction class for parents and very young children, Parent and Tot 1 uses songs, games and toys to help your baby gain confidence, learn basic swim skills and develop safe habits around the water. Each child must be accompanied in the pool by a parent or guardian-1 adult in the water per child. Swim diapers required.
Level 2: To qualify for level 2, child must be comfortable fully submerging underwater and be able to sit and stand independently.
Parent and Tot 2 prepares very young swimmers to transition to independent swim lessons. Emphasis on adjusting to swimming with an instructor rather than a parent, following directions and increasing autonomy in their swim skills. Each child must be accompanied in the pool by a parent or guardian. Swim diapers required.
Guppy (Ages 3-5)
Level 1: Guppy 1 introduces young children to independent swim lessons. Emphasis on working through separation anxiety, water adjustment, learning the rules of swim lessons and basic breath control. Parents will be asked to stay back from the pool edge. Swim diapers are required if child is not potty trained.
Level 2: To qualify for level 2, child must be reliable at holding the wall during lessons, comfortable fully submerging underwater and comfortable laying in a back-float position (with instructor support).
Guppy 2 teaches basic water survival and self-rescue skills to young children. Emphasis on independent movement through the water, independent floating and intermediate breath control. Swim diapers are required if your child is not potty trained.
Level 3: To qualify for Guppy 3, child must pass the following swim test: Jump into deep water, recover to a back-float position, then swim or float 5 yards to the wall and climb out independently. If child is not able to pass this swim test on day 1, they will not be able to continue in this level.
Guppy 3 lays technical foundation for basic stroke techniques. Emphasis on head/hip alignment and propulsive kick technique.
Level 4: By instructor recommendation only. Guppy 4 builds confidence and independence in basic stroke techniques for very strong young swimmers. Emphasis on head/hip alignment and simultaneous arm/leg action.
Stingray (Ages 6-9)

Adult intermediate classes build on the skills learned in the beginner class to introduce whole swim strokes. Emphasis on kick technique and gaining confidence working in deep water.
Advanced: Participants must be able to jump into deep water, resurface independently and swim to the wall, tread water for 2 minutes continuously and swim 1 length (25 yards) with sustained good kick technique in flutter kick, whip kick and dolphin kick. Adult advanced classes teach breaststroke and sidestroke in addition to building stamina in front crawl and backstroke. Emphasis is on building endurance and introducing turns, transitions and dives.
Stamina Training: Participants must be competent in the 4 competitive swim strokes. Get your swim workout in! This class focuses on building endurance and aerobic fitness for those with a strong swim background.

The city of Aurora Preschools will be providing Universal Preschool (UPK) beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. All Colorado 4-year-olds will qualify for 10-15 hours/a week of state-funded preschool for the school year.

Colorado 3-year-olds who have at least one qualifying factor may receive 10 hours/a week of state-funded preschool (limited funding) for the school year. Families must choose Aurora Public Schools when registering for UPK for 3 year olds and then can be placed at one of our city preschools.

Southeast Recreation Center
The Fieldhouse at the Southeast Recreation Center is the city’s first indoor artificial turf all-purpose field. Since opening in January of 2023, the field has hosted birthday parties, youth sports clinics/camps, youth/ adult soccer leagues and drop-in hours for our recreation center patrons to enjoy. ADULT INDOOR SOCCER LEAGUES AT SOUTHEAST REC CENTER FIELDHOUSE
Ages 18 and older
Leagues are played 6 v 6 (5 players, 1 goalie) with coed-specific and Indoor Field House-specific rules. All players must be 18 when they start playing. Eight games are guaranteed. The $100 deposit is nonrefundable after the league schedule is posted. Teams participate for fun and competition but understand that winning isn’t the entire purpose of the game. Players may register a team or sign up as an individual on one of the House teams. Fees, dates and locations may vary with each season.
COME OUT AND PLAY-FIELDHOUSE RENTALS
The Fieldhouse is your perfect spot for your next league or special event. The best part is you won’t have to worry about unpredictable Colorado weather, so you can enjoy your gametime rain or shine. Fieldhouse rentals are granted on a first come, first served basis and availability is based on Aurora programming and leagues. Fieldhouse rentals must be scheduled at least 48 hours prior to rental day and time. The field and turf dimensions are 185’ x 85’. Any use of the Recreation Center, outside of the Fieldhouse rental (excluding restrooms/locker rooms), is a separate daily admission fee paid by each participant, in addition to the rental fee.

Free Fall Break Program for Teens
We Are Aurora Youth is a program designed to give the youth of Aurora a fun and safe place to hang out during school breaks. Youth will be able be given free access to Central, Moorhead, and Southeast Recreation Centers from noon to 7 p.m. Youth will also be able to participate in multiple opportunities such as basketball, volleyball, gym games, cooking classes, creative crafts, fitness competitions, video games, movie nights as well as a chance to win gift cards to various food locations.
