ACAA DAY TRIPS All our trips require moderate walking and a few stairs. Excursions with a next to the trip name usually include a walking tour of the venue or there will be a significant amount of walking required or stairs. Note the day trips marked with the indicate trips at high altitude over 8,000’. Please note that if participants plan on bringing a walker or wheelchair or need special handicapped accessibility seating or dietary considerations, they must notify the front desk when they register to ensure accommodations can be met. Please note indicates a payment/cancellation deadline and indicates menu prices are subject to change. Return trip times are approximate. Unless otherwise noted cancellation of excursions must be done at least five business days before departure date.

17-MILE HOUSE

PEARL STREET MALL IN BOULDER Boulder’s famous street is lined with restaurants, shops and galleries; four blocks of which have been closed to traffic to make for easy walking! Here, in the center of historic downtown, locals and visitors stroll the brick-paved pedestrian walkways, linger on sun dappled benches and restaurant patios, shop to their heart’s content and stop to watch only-in Boulder street performers as well as view the art on display. Stroll at your own pace and luncheon at one of the many restaurants or cafes. Lunch is on your own. Have you ever explored a relay station? You will step back in time at 17-Mile House, a 160year old farm which served as an important resting stop for pioneers traveling on the Cherokee/Smoky Hill wagon trails in the 1860s. This country-designated heritage area includes a historic house, red barn, silo, milk house and loafing shed, which were restored to their known condition in the early 1900s, as well as two windmills and 32 acres of open space. Along with our tour, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch of fried chicken, potato salad, salad, fresh fruit and drink.
