Sometimes referred to as Mongolian lamb, Tibetan is actually a longer curlier texture than it’s cousin. Using alpaca fibre promotes sustainable agriculture in the Peruvian Andes making it a highly desirable fur. Alpaca is naturally durable and will keep its soft, cashmere-like feel for years.
For our Alpaca Woven Throw range, the fleece is the natural fibre shorn from an alpaca. It is light or heavy in weight, depending on how it is spun. It is a soft, durable, luxurious and silky natural fibre. Alpaca is naturally water-repellent, naturally hypo-allergenic and flame resistant.

Fibre by Auskin has taken leather and hair on cowhide to a new level. A beautiful collection of cushions, rugs and home accessories have been created to mix and match our other tactile collections.
Leather and hair on hide does vary from hide to hide, as it is a natural product, so colors will change from lights to ombré to darks. This is a natural occurrence with all of our natural fibre home decor.

Using alpaca fibre promotes sustainable agriculture in the Peruvian Andes making it a highly desirable fur. Alpaca is naturally durable and will keep its soft, cashmere-like feel for years.
For our Alpaca Woven Throw range, the fleece is the natural fibre shorn from an alpaca. It is light or heavy in weight, depending on how it is spun. It is a soft, durable, luxurious and silky natural fibre. Alpaca is naturally water-repellent, naturally hypo-allergenic and flame resistant.

The raw skins collected by abattoirs and packers primarily originate from farmers who primarily raise sheep for meat rather than their skins. The majority of a sheep's value lies in the sale of its meat, with only a small portion attributed to the sheepskin.
• We source sheepskins from farms that follow sustainable farming practices and adhere to strict environmental codes.
• Mulesing is strictly prohibited in New Zealand and Australia, and we never purchase sheepskins subjected to this practice.

CALIFORNIA FUR BAN
California (USA) recently banned the sale and manufacture of fur, excluding sheepskin and cowhide. The ban specifically states that "Fur product" does not include deerskin, sheepskin, or goatskin with hair attached. Sheepskin, being tanned wool on leather, is not considered fur under the California Fur Ban. Animals farmed solely for their fur, like sable, mink, and chinchilla, are the ones targeted by the ban.
