Life Floor surface enhances safety at Brisbane’s John Carew Swim School Life Floor has shared its experience in installing its highly slip resistant Life Floor 2.0 Ripple texture tiles installed onto decks around the pools at Brisbane’s John Carew Swim School. The tiles were installed throughout the facility to improve comfort and safety during a significant refurbishment of the popular swim school in 2020/21. Life Floor in the colour Sunshine was used to clearly indicate approaching stairs and improve accessibility with ‘Bluebird’ used in other areas of the 123 metre² installation Life Floor (Australia & NZ) Manager, Grant Burgess explained “because Life Floor was involved from the commencement of the proposed floor surfacing renovation plans, we were able to suggest some construction applications to ensure the Life Floor finished floor height matched surrounding pool edge tiles height thus providing a nice clean looking finish, and importantly, eliminating a potential trip hazard.” Installation was undertaken by SynSurf Pty Ltd. Playscape Creations to build aquatic play park for Burdekin Shire Council Burdekin Shire Council in North Queensland has awarded the contract for the design and construction of a $2.5 million all-abilities aquatic play park to Playscape Creations.
