The pinwheel is a symbol of tranformation and good fortune. At Trinity, major transformations are only possible through the generosity of our community. Peek inside the Trinity pinwheel and you’ll see how our philanthropic giving works. Our students, our teachers, our parents and their families all benefit when we give generously.

Dear Trinity Community, AS TRINITY CELEBRATES OUR 20TH ANNIVERSARY, MY HEART IS FILLED WITH GRATITUDE. Gratitude for the legacy of our beloved

founder Jane Hill, who loved children and dreamed big. Gratitude for the gifted educators who deliver on our promise to nurture Each Child, Each Day. Gratitude for the families that honor us with their trust and support. And, finally, gratitude for the beautiful children that grace our classrooms and fill our lives with both challenge and joy. Trinity is a vibrant community of educators and families, children and adults—all here because we believe that excellence in education nurtures both the heart and the mind. As a community, we learn together, grow together, celebrate success, and care for those who struggle. As a school, we are enriched and strengthened by community. I am proud to share with you the 2018-2019 Annual Report, which reflects the spirit of generosity that has defined the Trinity community since the school’s inception 20 years ago. The highlights include: • The Annual Fund surpassed our goal, providing operating resources for educational initiatives, competitive faculty salaries and benefits, and the everyday expenses of running a school. When the Annual Fund flourishes, so does student life in the classrooms of Trinity. • This year’s A Night To Shine was an amazing event to kick off our 20th anniversary celebration, breaking all previous records and providing important funds for faculty professional development and financial assistance, as well as a special paddle-raise to purchase Trinity’s first-ever school bus! • Horizons AustinTrinity, our outreach program for public school students, continues to grow with the support of donors who share our belief that Trinity should be engaged in the education of all children in the broader Austin community. • Focusing on the expansion and renewal of the Trinity campus to meet the needs of our dynamic program, The Trinity Promise capital campaign is now in its early stages and gaining momentum, thanks to the support of early donors. The generous spirit of our community is also reflected in the helping hands at the curb for carpool duty on an icy cold morning, at the bins collecting used uniforms ready for resale, and a thousand other tasks that make our school special. Trinity parents are always ready to get the job done. In this community, children thrive. A simple “thank you” seems so inadequate, but I say it from the heart and on behalf of all the Trinity children we serve today and will serve in the years to come: Thank you!

Philanthropy at Trinity does not want to leave any program or child behind. We see every need and seek to satisfy all of our obligations.

Faithfully,

Marie H. Kidd

Corbin Satterwhite, Eighth Grade Max Bennett, Kindergarten

Grandgivers Club

Tornado Club

The Grandgivers Club honors grandparents of 2018-2019 Trinity students who contributed $500 or more to the Annual Fund. We treasure all gifts from grandparents at any level as these gifts are expressions of the value placed on a Trinity education for their grandchildren.

While at Trinity, our students learn the importance of giving back with their time, talent, and treasure. Each year our growing community of alumni continue to inspire us by honoring their time at Trinity with gifts to our school.

OUR COMMUNITY

A Night to Shine was definitely a NIGHT TO SHINE! A sold-out and record-breaking year, $1,029,261 (net) was raised in support of faculty professional development and financial assistance. This year’s gala kicked off our 20th year celebrations by commemorating Trinity’s beginnings with a replica “Blue House” and a slideshow of pictures from the past. Thank you to the gala committee who made it come to life. The entertainment, food, details and decorations were top-notch and both the silent and live auctions surpassed all expectations. A very special thanks to the gala co-chairs who worked tirelessly all year to make A Night to Shine a huge success that will benefit the entire Trinity community for years to come: Lindsey Heiser, Katie Jaffe, and Camila Alves McConaughey—you shine bright!

Horizons | SERVING STUDENTS WITH LIMITED OPPORTUNITIES Horizons AustinTrinity celebrated their fourth summer this year! This special program is a partnership between Rodriguez Elementary and Trinity Episcopal School, which helps to close the achievement and learning gap that exists within our greater Austin community. Not only are the 80 students who attended the six-week program afforded access to our campus and specialized curriculum, but Trinity’s own students, alumni, teachers, parents and staff gain tremendous experience as well. Even in the program’s short tenure, the results stand alone and it is expected that the program will keep growing in the years to come. A special thanks to Patrick Glazik, who has led the charge from inception alongside our board members; your legacy lives on! It is such a joy to support the school that has helped shape the young women our daughters are becoming. An important piece of their education has included Horizons AustinTrinity, which has allowed our teachers and middle school students the opportunity to grow and share the best of Trinity and themselves with students from another school in our community. I can’t wait to see what’s just over the Horizon!

The Trinity Promise E X PA N D I N G O U R P R O G R A M S Since our founding, we have depended on capital campaigns to meet the capacity needs of the school. Our pay-it-forward mindset continues with The Trinity Promise, which will serve students, families, and faculty by adding critically needed space to support high-quality programs. Our teachers offer high-level instruction despite severe space restrictions, but this deficit makes their work increasingly challenging. The Trinity Promise is raising funds to create functional, flexible and supportive learning environments which will better serve each child, each day.
