xplore the world of specialist make-up services, and how the latest designs are changing the way people think, live, and work... The Diploma of Screen & Media (Specialist Make-up Services) is designed to prepare students to work as a professional makeup and hair stylist for fashion, bridal, retail and special effects. During the course students will develop a portfolio of work which will include day, evening, bridal and fashion make-up as well as casualty effects, character creation, use of ready-made prosthetics, bald caps and hair application.

During the year students will have four professional photoshoots, of which they will receive prints to include in their portfolio. Students will have the opportunity to do make-up for fashion parades and events during the year, working with our fashion design students and also perform makeup for guest clients of all ages throughout the year. The Diploma of Screen & Media (Specialist Make-Up Services) course has been developed to the ITEC international standard. Therefore you will be issued with a dual qualification (national and international).

USB THUMB DRIVE

The Student ID Card can be used to receive discounts for software of other items from participating retailers. Students who wish to receive concession travel allowances will need a Student ID card as well as apply through Translink for a student ready GoCard (note: you must be a Queensland resident).

A USB thumb drive is required with a recommended space of 2GB, ideally more.

LAPTOP COMPUTER

Students will need to provide basic stationery.

Students who are accepted into the program will be required to have a laptop computer with a wireless network connection to be able to access our wireless network. Please check this course’s webpage to see the laptop and software minimum requirements.

PRINTING AND PHOTOCOPYING

DIGITAL CAMERA

We provide printing accounts for students to use the printers at each of the campuses. The minimum credit that can be purchased is $25.00 and once purchased students are provided with a login to the printers to print their items. Printed items are charged as follows... *

1 ARRANGE AN INTERVIEW Arrange an interview time by phoning us on (07) 55 938 335. (If you live outside the South East QLD area and are unable to attend an interview, please phone us to have an application form and questionaire posted to you).

2 ATTEND THE APPOINTMENT Attend a student interview and complete the short interview questionaire and application form.

3 RECEIVE ACCEPTANCE LETTER Successful applicants will receive an acceptance letter along with enrolment forms and student handbook in the mail.

4 RETURN ENROLMENT FORM To enrol return the signed enrolment form.
