Overview The concept of travel today is ever challenging, a bit like skiing through the giant slalom. However, Sri Lanka is perhaps going through exciting times. The Government of Sri Lanka is investing heavily on infrastructure, expanding road networks while new expressways (Colombo-Galle & Airport to Colombo) together with its second International airport commissioned in the South of Sri Lanka last year. Global Hotel brands such as Shangri La, Sheraton, Hyatt, Marriot, Move n Pick already begun construction of resort projects already whilst existing hotels and resorts are standing up to compete with these global giants through upgrading their existing hardware. Enjoy reading and we look forward to welcoming your clients to experience a different Sri Lanka through our introduction of "emotion" and enjoy the great hospitality this country is famous for‌

Featured City Ella (altitude of 1,000m) in our opinion is a destination of its own; a small local town nestled high in the mountains between Bandarawela and Wellawaya. You may not find star class resorts but you are sure to come across charming homestays and guesthouses. Ella is fast developing, and investors are putting down their money, which is a good sign.

The community in Ella depends on tourism through providing simple and charming accommodation overlooking luscious mountains, restaurants and transport mainly in Tuk Tuks. People are simple, unpretentious and laid back and they are generally helpful to visitors. The climate is another key feature, cooling and less humid and similar to the typical English summer. The other attractions include the many mountains and peaks surrounding the local community and the breathtaking train rides to Demodara, Nanu Oya, Badulla, which can easily be the best train ride experience in Sri Lanka. There is a bit of history associated with mythical belief in Ella. The Rawana Caves located above the famous Ella Waterfalls. Rawana of the Ramayana legend is said to have lived in one of the caves above the waterfalls.

Things to Do - Mini Adam’s Peak Excursion - Train rides through the lush green Mountains (Demodara - Pattipola is the most popular) - Trekking & Hiking - Visit to Lipton’s Seat - Visit the beautiful waterfalls

Infrastructure Developments The Colombo Airport Expressway This is among the new infrastructure developments in Colombo. It is currently at its final stages and will soon be declared open to the public. It’s starting point will be the New Kelani Bridge, which is situated at the periphery of the Colombo city and will end at the access road to the International Airport, Katunayake (Colombo).

It is expected to reduce the travel time from central Colombo to Katunayake International Airport to 45 minutes. It also will have 3 interchanges apart from the two main points of the Expressway.
