MEET Starting at DC Motors in Anaheim Hills the group of 100 high performance cars pored in and filled up the parking lots. The meet portion was great opportunity to swap stories and get a tour of DC Motors showroom. this included the very last Lamborghini Diablo ever produced, #40 of 40 Diablo SE.

The next stop was El Toro Airforce Base and Orange County Race Craft's specialty auto x course. The rally was on and the group spilled into the streets in a loud, brightly colored, and expensive train to storm the freeway to the track. Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Vipers, Corvettes, and Porsches all running on the freeway is an amazing site. If you did not know what was going on you may assume it was a billionaires and playboys conference. Fortunately, we all arrived safe and sound to El Toro without any Police interactions.

Now imagine the sight of a military sized runway filled with cars you would sell your own mother for and you get an idea of the metal in attendance. Everyone went through the safety briefing and then started with some warm up parade laps. The course was an auto cross, but offered pretty high speeds compared to most parking lot courses. The crew at OCRC did a great job and organizing and running the track event smoothly. Everyone had a blast and made it out without incident. Lunch was served at the track and we finished up just before the weather rolled in to sprinkle on the runways.

After running the cars all day a Hollywood club style party was set up in the magical garages of BBI. The event was complete with security, a Oscar style photo wall, DJ's, and celebrity guests like pro skateboarder Bucky Lasek and music super producer Jim Jonsin. Kettle One was on hand to fill up our cups and The Burnt Truck was there with gourmet sliders. As the night rolled on the DJ's rocked the joint and we mixed it up on the dance floor. The day was nothing short of amazing. We can't wait for round two in July!

The dash and door panels are lined in leather with beautiful french stitching. The headliner is covered in suede and the steering wheel is heated for those early morning tee times. The front seats are heated and cooled. The drivers seat has the aforementioned massage function. Which is a feature that should be standard on all commuter cars since they are no fun to drive you might as well get something for driving something so bland. The seats themselves are a little flat for my taste, but this is a big luxury cruiser and sport seats would feel out of place. Pressing the start button initiates an animation on the navigation screen and a little song that sounds like it was taken from a cell phone ring tone in 1999. Luckily this little song can be turned off if it bothers you. However this is a minute detail of the Equus, so on to the dynamics of the car.
