HUCK'S IGLOO DINING

Huck’s Filling Station in East Greenwich is once again hosting a “pop up” partnership with Exquisite Events to create a winter wonderland outdoor igloo-dining experience with a seasonal shared plates and a craft cocktail menu. The heated igloos can comfortably seat parties of four to eight people. Igloo reservations (with new themes) will be available after Thanksgiving. Be sure to keep an eye on Huck’s socials for updates. How to Reserve: Once reservations become available, all the restaurant directly at 401-471-7170 with the intended day and time of your reservation and the size of your party in mind.

NEWPORT HARBOR ISLAND RESORT ICE SKATING RINK

Join us this fall and winter to skate by the sea. The outdoor Newport skating rink is coming back for the season, opening on Friday, November 19th! Open to the general public and guests.

Skating Rink Hours: Monday - Friday: 3pm - 9pm Saturday - Sunday (and Holidays): 10am - 9pm Skates will be available to rent with a full range of sizes for all ages.

STARGAZING NIGHTS AT FROSTY DREW OBSERVATORY

Are you looking for that awesome astronomy thing to do? How about catching up on all the amazing things happening in space? Frosty Drew Observatory Stargazing Nights is the place to be for all your astronomy needs. Every Friday night (weather permitting) we open our Observatory, Sky Theatre, and telescopes to the skies and offer

free views of the cosmos to anybody interested in observing with us. Starting at 7:00 p.m., views of the beautiful night sky over Ninigret Park will rock your night. Hang out with our astronomers and telescopes as we showcase the Rings of Saturn, the cratered lunar surface, the Galilean Moons of Jupiter, the polar ice caps of Mars, the phases of Venus, massive stars, speckled star clusters, vast nebulae, distant galaxies, and the best views of the Milky Way in Rhode Island. We stay open late, sometimes until dawn, and close when the skies become unobservable or everybody leaves. COMEDY AT THE CASTLE

It’s been quite a while (think it was the winter igloos were set up on the side of the restaurant) since we visited Kleos downcity, so we popped in the other day for lunch.

First off, the interior is gorgeous — lotsa light, colorful but in a chic and modern way, and the various blue accents (furniture and dishware) are pretty dreamy.

Now, I don’t eat lamb and neither does

my husband, but that’s a-okay because there are plenty of other options on the menu.

Vegetarians take note: I had a fantastic salad (the dressing was out-of-thisworld and all the ingredients were super fresh) and the hubs and I also split their Greek FRIES (gotta say… these are some of the absolute yummiest fries in Lil Rhody, seriously) served hot with melt-y Feta and a light seasoning that gives them a little kick, and the spinach pie (aka, Spanakopita) which was scrumptious.

Honestly, we were talking about the food all weekend long. If you’re in the mood for a cocktail or a glass of vino, they also have a ginormous selection of those kinds of sips and such.

And you don’t have to be a fan of those My Big Fat Greek Wedding movies — although in my book, a rewatch is always comforting and funtastic.
