From the Desk of Commissioner Maribel Gomez Cordero
Dear Residents of Avalon Park,
As we continue to do our best to stay safe, wear a mask, wash our hands and keep social distance, I want to take this opportunity to explain how Orange County keeps moving forward. Our main goals are to keep all of our residents safe, and to stop the spread of this virus. Threfore, we have extended free testing at Orange County Health Services Free Testing Site in Barnett Park through the end of February. The site will remain open Seven days per week from 9AM until 5PM. I encourage you to go early, as capacity is limited. Also, Orange County Convention Regional Testing Site is available to all residents, including any tourists. For any more information regarding testing, please visit ocfl.net/testing.
We continue to vaccinate our vulnerable population as we aim to distribute it in a safely and timely manner. The Florida Department of Health Portal in Orange County opens at different announced times due to limited capacity. I encourage you to pre-register in advance on the website portal to prepare to book an appointment. Residents aged 65 or more are qualified to register to receive the vaccine. Proof of residents is required for residents. Visit ocfl.net/vaccine for more information.
Remember, if you have any question or concern, do not hesitate to contact my office at District4@ocfl. net. Stay safe!
