AVANTI DESIGN TECHNOLOGY We’re not interested in buying frames off the shelf or taking a cookie cutter approach. Our range of high performance bikes are designed in New Zealand by passionate cyclists obsessed with the development of outstanding world beating bikes. The Avanti Design Technology (ADT) process brings all our understanding, experience and knowledge together in exploring new ways to develop the very best bikes with superior performance. The process combines years of development experience from our in-house designers, engineers and carbon technicians with feedback from our bike store dealers, customer groups and team of professional riders to develop absolute world class bikes so you can enjoy the best possible riding experience. We select the very best production facilities with the most rigorous testing protocols in the world to ensure these bikes not only look incredible and ride superbly but are also robust and durable. To back it up we guarantee our frames for life. What we learn in the wind tunnel about aerodynamic development, on the design floor about frame geometry or through pro rider evaluation about “the way it rides” flows through the entire Avanti Team range influencing materials, frame geometry and importantly, component selection. Avanti Team bikes have evolved with the arrival of the 2012 range but our goal in this area of elite performance has remained the same: create world class bikes that enable you to realise your potential. Quantum, Cadent, Questa, Chrono and Competitor Team models. All uniquely developed through the Avanti Design Technology process. All constructed with specific lay ups of high modulus carbon fibre. All developed with input from elite riders: Bevan Docherty, double Olympic medallist; Cameron Brown, 10x Ironman NZ Champion; Alison Shanks, World Track Cycling Champion; Nic Leary, NZ National MTB champion; Mark Leishman, NZ National & Oceania Masters MTB Champion & Xterra Pro, and Pure Black Racing, UCI Continental Road Cycling Team. Endless hours of research go into their development, they’re all individually designed and engineered by our product development team, and they all pass rigorous testing protocols. Machine testing for fatigue, manual testing for strength and stiffness, testing on the road and on the trails, testing in the wind tunnel at San Diego. Seemingly endless testing. On average, women have shorter torsos, shorter arms, and longer legs than a similar sized man. Shoulders tend to be narrower, hips tend to be wider and hands and feet tend to be smaller. OUR FASTEST BIKE. EVER. FORE/AFT ADJUSTABLE SEAT CLAMP By allowing a large degree of adjustment at the saddle the rider is able to custom tune their fit. Positioning on the bike is vital for both comfort and power transfer.

COMPLETE INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Internal brake guides offer reduced drag and enhanced visual aesthetics. The cables are routed from the levers right through to the derailleurs and brakes internally, including through the handlebars and stem.

M.O.D.S. CHAIN STAYS (Maximum Output Differential Stays) The M.O.D.S Chain stays offers stiffness to the frame using material only where it is required. The height of the right stay is 50mm while the left is 44mm adding strength and stiffness where required without adding extra weight. REAR BRAKE UNDER CHAIN STAY Housing the rear brake behind the BB and under the chain stay greatly reduces drag compared to having it in a conventional road bike position at the top of the seat stays.

INTEGRATED HANDLEBAR STEM The Chrono Evo II’s Handlebar stem sits flush with the top tube. This allows for optimum wind flow around the head tube area and down the bike. INTEGRATED FRONT BRAKE Housing the brake inside a streamlined fork structure hugely reduces the turbulent effects of the brake. Controlling the flow around the fork and front brake is crucial for overall performance.

CFD DEVELOPED TUBE SHAPES Each tube has been developed using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology. Mathematical modelling is used in conjunction with wind tunnel testing to achieve the tube shapes that offer the most aerodynamic efficiencies.
