AWHS MISSION STATEMENT

Archbishop Williams High School is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory, grades 7-12 school. We endeavor to educate young men and women spiritually, intellectually, ethically and physically. Driven by the love of Christ, in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, we integrate learning with faith. We strive to graduate socially aware, morally responsible citizens prepared to succeed and to serve their local and global communities.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

• 4 credits of Theology

• 4 credits of English

• 4 credits of Math

• 3 credits of Social Studies

• 3 credits of Science

• 2 credits of High School level Foreign Language-French or Spanish (Beginning with the Class of 2028, the requirement will change to 3 credits)

• 5 credits of Elective Courses (at least one in the Arts)

Classes taught at multiple levels (Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, Virtual High School, Honors, Accelerated and College Prep) to ensure a student’s individual academic success.

SERVICE & OUTREACH

• Students in Grades 7 & 8 participate in community-based service projects

• Each student in Grades 9 & 10 fulfills a minimum of 20 hours of outreach annually

• Juniors complete 20 hours of outreach service with one organization or various organizations with the same theme or topic

• Seniors complete 20 hours of outreach service at one organization or a hands-on service project for a non-profit organization

• Students are encouraged to participate in local and international service trips
