Deadly Crossing Australian killed as train crushes car
hua hin, thailand We are sad to report that on Sunday 28th November an Australian man, Mr Robert Dickinson, was killed when the car he was driving was struck by a train at a railway crossing in the centre of Hua Hin. The train (number 911) was travelling from Bangkok to Suan Son Pradiphant and the collision was at the crossing closest to Hua Hin Railway station which mainly provides access to the Royal Hua Hin Golf Club, and it is believed that Mr Dickinson was indeed on his way to play golf there. It has been reported that there was also a passenger in the car who was taken to hospital but no official details have been released as to their identity or condition. Mr Dickinson was 64 years old and leaves a Thai wife and her son behind.
