Fair Enough Red Cross April Fair starts today
HUA HIN, THAILAND A well established Hua Hin institution begins today as the semi-annual Red Cross Fair gets underway in Naebkhahart Road. Running from today, 24th April, until Sunday 3rd May it is being held on the section of the road shaded on the map below, and is roughly from the library north of Chomsin Road to Ban Isaara but will also stretch into Dam Rong Rat Road. Motorists be warned that at many times this road will be impassable, and parking will be difficult, with the best bet being the far end of Naebkhahart or even on
Phetchkasem and walking down one of the sois to the fair. The fair is a good place to buy plants, trinkets, 99 Baht clothing items, vulgar T-shirts, and lots of tasty food. There is also a raffle by the Hua Hin Red Cross Society. There are also rides for the kids, shooting galleries for the boys and bumper cars for the teens. The bumper car location is very popular among aspiring Coyote dancers in the late, late evening, or so we are told... There will be bands every night starting around 8pm. This fair
will feature more rock bands than previously. Last October the music was mainly Luk Tung style but this time there will be more of an emphasis on Thai rock. The bands play at the Singh/Leo Beer Garden at the South West corner of Naebkhahart and Soi 51. Some of the restaurants in the area may well be closed during the fair because of access difficulties, so please call in advance. For further information, please ask at the Hua Hin Red Cross Office. Tel. 032 512 946.
