Let’s Talk Another summit hits town

hua hin, thailand Senior political figures from Thailand and neighbouring countries will once again be descending on Hua Hin next week, this time to take part in the first Mekong River Commission (MRC) summit, which runs from 2nd to 5th April, at an as yet undisclosed location in the town; however as previous meetings have all been held at the Dusit Resort, that seems like a likely candidate this time as well. The MRC summit is unlikely to cause the same disruption as the ASEAN summit did in October last year, but nevertheless some very high profile people will be attending, including the controversial Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, who caused a stir when he arrived at the ASEAN summit and immediately criticised the Abhisit government and said Cambodia

political leaders and a range of experts in the field of integrated water resources management. This event marks the 15th Anniversary of the Mekong River Commission and will serve to reaffirm at the highest level, political commitment of Member Countries to the mission of the MRC.
