Lineup announced for 2010 Jazz Festival

hua hin, thailand The Jazz Festival is on! Details of the artists and schedule were announced this week via the official Festival website (www. huahinjazz2010.com), although with the usual proviso that the artists and performance times are subject to change without notice. The festival will take place from 18th - 20th June on two stages, a Beach stage near the Sofitel and the Jazz Royale stage at Phonkingphet Public Park on the road up to the railway station. The international headline acts this year are guitarist Lee Ritenour (Saturday 19th June, Beach stage),

saxophonist Eric Marienthal, keyboardist Jeff Lorber and bass player Jimmy Haslip (all three sharing the Beach stage on Friday 18th June), while the headliners on the Jazz Royale stage on the Friday are The Brass Munkeys from the Phillipines, who are also appearing on the Beach Stage in the early evening on Saturday 19th June.. Well known Thai artists performing include Jazz DOJO, Crescendo and ETC. Appearing again this year is Noon from Japan, while newcomers to the event are Jack Lee Asianergy & Hye Mi from Korea. We will publish the full schedule
