cha am, THAILAND For many years Cha Am has been the beach destination of choice for Thais escaping Bangkok or other central Thailand towns and cities, and every weekend the place is full of Thai vacationers. Increasingly though it is becoming a place for both foreign expats to live, and foreign tourists and Hua Hin expats to visit as a refreshing alternative to it’s bustling neighbour. It has been our intention for some time to make AWOL more easily available there, and while it was for a time a couple of years ago, this was only in a couple of locations. From next week AWOL will be distributed to between twenty and thirty locations in Cha Am, with more being added as the demand becomes apparent. There will also be a new section of the paper dedicated to Cha Am, which will include a map and any local news or information we obtain or that is supplied to us which we feel will be of interest to readers. Please send any information you have on either Cha Am or the Hua Hin area to submissions@awolonline.net or call 081 649 8361 to tell us about it. We will add to the new section as needed, which might include a separate classifieds section, live events/balloon chasers and local sports among other things.
