Academic Scholarships

Celebrating student scholars has become a tradition at ACE. This year the students and sponsors gathered at the ACE24 Celebrate Scholars Luncheon to hear water stories from recipients. They were then recognized along with their corporate sponsors at the Water Industry Luncheon.

28 scholarships awarded totaling $178,000

Over 800 applications were received in 2023 for these scholarships. The Water Equation Scholarship Advisory Committee and AWWA (University Student Activities Committee) USAC read and ranked the scholarships for final approval by the sponsor.

Would you like to review and rank AWWA scholarship program applications in January 2025? This is a two-week volunteer opportunity that is essential to the program.

Student Education

Double your donation with $15,000 in matching funds! The Dr. James K. Edzwald Endowed Scholarship fund has a new goal.

Joseph Ladouceur, a PhD candidate at the University of Ottawa, received the inaugural Dr. James K. Edzwald Scholarship at ACE24 in Anaheim, CA. The $3000 award will provide Joseph with funds for his lab and technology materials. The plan is to now increase the scholarship endowment to $200,000 and award a $6000 scholarship at ACE25. Your gift will be matched up to $15,000 and put us on the path to reaching our goal of a $6000 award.
