Strategy
The main structures in the site; the sports hall and natatorium. Positioned to the back as they require the least amount of views. Open air performance space encapsulated by surrounding structures and exterior facilities. Semi-open space for views out to swamp and clear integration with entrances. Footbridge connection over the swamp to the park area to encourage integration between the two sides.

Buildings on Site
Movement correlating to entrance locations, primary axes and major nodes and zones within site.
Encouraging entrances from all sides by all people. Correlates with local surroundings to provide fluidity and flexibility.
One main entrance underneath cantilever. Few spaces due to the supermarkets vast number which can be used for site purposes.
Dotted towards the swamp to encourage passers by to enter site. Passages pass through bicycle lane and skat park.
Main solid structure locations. Heirarchy can be seen dispersing from the main connection between sports hall and natatorium.

Pergola Structure Locations
The basis of the building design. Mainly used to determine positions of buildings and access routes but not a definitive design strategy.
Views encouraged from the inside to frame certain aspects of the surroundings.
Views to draw the attention of the passerby and visitors to the site. Primarily located at main entrances.
Location of trees in the site producing a microclimate which provides shelter and privacy.
To allow for the definition of main routes through the site, in and around the building structures.
