Project’s description

Registered schools:

Active schools (towns) in project: ● IES Lauaizeta Ikastola BHI, Donostia-San Sebastián Spain ● 11th Junior High School of Ilion, Greece ● Liceo Classico e Scientifico Democrito, Roma Italy ● Publiczne Gimnazjum w Boratynie, Chłopice, Poland ● Szkoła Podstawowa im. Kazimierza Odnowiciela w Pobiedziskach, Pobiedziska Poland

Project was registered in eTwinning by Spanish and Turkish founders. In late November, as Turkish partner was inactive, the Spanish founder had registered the rest of the partners after an announcement in partners forum in eTwinning Live desktop. Actually, this project had begun on 12 December 2016, after the first teachers’ meeting (video conference)

where the first activities had been scheduled and ended in first half of May.

We had many difficulties in scheduling and managing the activities as ● Spanish and Italian partners had Erasmus+KA2 mibilities with students ● Szkoła Podstawowa im. Kazimierza Odnowiciela w Pobiedziskach abandoned the project after Christmas ● Publiczne Gimnazjum w Boratynie, Chłopice, Poland had joined the project in January ● Ilion classes had many difficulties because of constant changes in school’s schedule ● In addition, for Spanish and Italian teachers this was the very first eTwinning project In this publication we present the production of the activities of our students on this very short time-REAL duration- of the project

DONOSTIA

LOCATION

Donostia is situated in the north of Spain, in Gipuzkoa, Basque Country.

Surf in Donostia

Donostia is a very good place to do sports, but if you like surfing very much this is one of the best places in Spain to do it. In Donostia you have to surf in Zurriola beach because in the other two beaches you can’t. Zurriola beach

The Old Part In summer it is a good place because the three beaches are near de old part. Also in summer there are people doing shows.

It is the most important part of the town. There are a lot of restaurants and there are a lot of people walking around the old part.

AIETE PALACE

Aiete is situated on the top of the hill. There are a lot of gardens and the general Francisco Franco the Spanish dictactor lived there when he came to Donostia on summer holidays. A lot of children come to this park to play or to have a Pic-Nic.

Danborrada

Alderdi Eder, in front of the town hall.

In Donostia we have a day of our city, and in this day we celebrate the “Danborrada. This day is the 20 of January. In this day the inhabitants of Donostia play the drum in the 24 hours of this day without stop.

Konstituzio square

Football

Anoeta stadium

Donostia has a soccer field, in it plays the Real Sociedad. The team plays in the Spanish league. The stadium is Anoeta in it is in Amara square.

COMB OF THE WINDS

This is a place situated next to the sea and the waves break on the rocks of the comb of the winds. It is situated at the end of Donostia. People come here to walk and see the waves breaking. Eduardo Chillida, a basque artist, has done the escultures that are on the comb of the winds.
