THINGS TO KNOW: The world-famous Chicago-style deep dish pizza chain has deep family roots including the recipe for their buttery crust that has been passed down from generation to generation. Lou Malnati and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria in Illinois in 1971, and have since opened more than 56 Chicago metro area locations, including two full service restaurants in Phoenix in Uptown Plaza and Scottsdale and a carryout and delivery location in Arcadia.
