LITCHFIELD PARK

Litchfield Park is a planned residential community located 16 miles west of Central Phoenix. It is known for its small town atmosphere, casual lifestyle and exceptional recreational opportunities.

LITCHFIELD PARK HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND MUSEUM

Built in 1941, Aunt Mary’s House is now home to the Litchfield Park Historical Society and Museum. Mary Brintan-Tubbs was active in the Litchfield Park community, and during World War II, she volunteered and worked at Luke Air Force Base, rolling bandages, writing letters for soldiers and doing other necessary civilian tasks.

THE WIGWAM

Make your own history at The Wigwam, Arizona’s rich cultural and iconic resort for more than 90 years. It was originally built for Goodyear executives who visited local farming operations. In 1929, The Wigwam opened to the public and soon became a fashionable and exclusive resort.

WHITE TANKS REGIONAL PARK

White Tanks Regional Park is located west of Litchfield Park. It is named for natural rock water tanks once used by local Native American tribes. Many unusual petroglyphs or rock carvings are found in the 26,000-acre park.

ST. THOMAS MISSION CHURCH

St. Thomas Mission Church, also known as St. Thomas Aquinas Mission Church, was built in 1919 and originally located on Wigwam Boulevard. Cardinal Francis Spellman once celebrated mass here.
