This Southwestern culinary landmark originally opened in 1919 as the world’s largest cattle feedlot. Following the addition of a steakhouse in 1947, it has been serving hungry carnivores ever since. It’s famous for both the role it played in Arizona’s cattle industry as well as its stunning architectural design, which has been honored with a place on the City of Phoenix Historical Register.

All customers are treated to a traditional relish tray and a heaping basket of baking soda biscuits and cornbread muffins. The filet mignon is served with a whiskey peppercorn demi-glace bearnaise sauce or house steak butter on the side. Elk medallions, tomahawk pork chops, liver and onions, and ribs are also available. Seafood lovers will enjoy the lobster tails, walleyed pike and shrimp platter, while the Ancho Chile Brownie with cinnamon ice cream, Mexican chocolate sauce and spiced candied pepitas is a dessert favorite.
