Opportunity to Tender: Social Media Integration Background Context Appetite is a three-year artistic programme that aims to get more people in Stoke-on-Trent to experience and be inspired by the arts. Appetite is funded by Arts Council England as part of the Creative People and Places programme. Creative People and Places aims to increase the number of people experiencing the arts in areas where arts engagement is significantly below the national average in the country. The programme aims to build an appetite for the arts in the city by putting on quality, family-friendly events in public spaces and placing people at the heart of what we do so they can take part and shape arts activity in Stoke-on-Trent. Appetite will engage local residents so they can get involved and influence more art in more places across the city. Appetite’s focus is to better understand what the people of Stoke-on-Trent really want from the arts and how best to serve it to them. Appetite has several creative strands that will help develop skills and increase this hunger for the arts in the city. To find out more please visit www.appetitestoke.co.uk. Appetite is funded by Arts Council England, led by New Vic Theatre in partnership with B Arts, Brighter Futures, Partners in Creative Learning (PiCL) and Staffordshire University’s Creative Communities Unit. The Tender Brief Appetite is looking for an experienced digital and social media developer to improve how the main website connects with other social media platforms so that users can share and access this content in the ‘My Appetite’ section of the website. ‘My Appetite’ is a members only page on the website that allows members to create their own profiles, tailor content and news feeds around their own tastes, and develop connections to other members on the site. Our key deliverables are:
•
Improve integration between social media platforms and the main Appetite website, including automated Facebook linking and the presentation of social media content on the main site in the most engaging way for our target audiences;
•
Ensure that the personal profiling section of the main site (My Appetite) is fully integrated with the user’s own social media feeds. This will allow users to share Appetite content seamlessly across these various platforms;
•
Aggregation, organisation and presentation of user-generated content from participants own public social media feeds (for example a photo on Instagram from an attendee at Appetite event, or a comment on Twitter etc.) so that this content can be presented on the main site;
•
Suggest and implement any additional social media channels that would aid Appetite in the engagement of its audiences;
•
Provide support and training to the Appetite team to allow them to maximise the benefits of the revised platforms in their ongoing work;
•
Provide a clear approach for updating the integration between website and social media channels as necessitated in changes in API, Terms and Conditions etc. of the main social media channels listed.
