NILE COLT CLASSIC

Wild Pony Racing is sure to be one of the most entertaining events at the rodeo. In place of mutton busting the NILE has Wild Pony Racing during the three ProRodeo performances. Teams are made up of boys and girls, 13 and under and weighing 120 pounds or less make up a team with the objective to hold on, get on and stay on for two seconds. It's wild and hilarious. When even the most seasoned rodeo goers are leaning on the fence watching, you know it's good viewing.

Inaugural Colt Classic Clinic and was a huge success. Bill Oliver worked with seven colts through the 2020 NILE Fall Stock Show at Miller's Horse Palace. These colts were a hot commodity during the 2020 Gold Buckle Select Horse Sale and sold for up to $6,500.

Club Calf Show & Sale

Over 100 head of prospect steer and heifer calves are consigned to the NILE Club Calf Show and Sale in 2021! Known as one of the top prospect sales in the region, consignors from Montana and surrounding states all gather to bring the best quality steers and heifers to show for top honors and market to youth for market steer and breeding heifer projects. Calves sold through the NILE Club Calf Sale are eligible for the 2022 Steer and Heifer Futurities where over $5,000 is up for grabs. Calves wishing to nominate at the sale pay a nomination fee of $30 while calves nominated from October 19th through December 15th pay a $60 nomination fee. The steer futurity is held each June, while the Heifer Futurity will be held at NILE in 2022. Once again, calves sold through the sale and purchased by a youth are eligible to show the following day in the Club Calf Jackpot Show! This is a great opportunity for youth to purchase an animal and show the calf for prizes and premiums! Entries are $30/head and entries will be taken at the Club Calf Sale from 2 p.m. through 6 p.m.
