ETIENNE SALOMÉ - Yacht & Supercar Designer / Artist

After working for 12 years on the design of Bugatti Automobiles, Berlin-based Etienne Salomé decided to create his own company: ‘Salome Yachts and Design’, He officially launched with his team the ‘Atlantic Project’ in September 2019 during the Monaco Yacht Show, a 12 meter sport tender, immediately recognisable on the water, a true head-turner. He keeps one foot in the automotive industry as a consultant for various car manufacturers including the supercar/ hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg.

I am very honoured to officially announce my creative partnership with the company Motopark.

The heart of this company is directly based at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, a true playground but also a perfect test bench for their performance cars. Motopark Oschersleben was the third permanent German test and race track after Nürburgring and Hockenheimring.

This company has a unique know-how in creating performance cars for both track and road, but most importantly they are a team of dedicated and passionate people who love what they do!

I always look for ideas on how to create more unique cars, reflecting each owner’s personality. Always searching for the best solutions to tailor to their individual requirements.

Working together with Motopark’s team, we have created a new program: “Taylormode”, to offer the finest in German craftsmanship. This program is based on the Porsche 964, but is heavily modified.

When you look at 70’s Porsche models they look very much like the open worked skeleton movement from mechanical watches. A true no plastic material philosophy, with all parts visible and made to last! Those Porsches are real treasures of our world.

For me as a designer, the possibility to create a car based on a model from the 70’s offers so much freedom, because you have to fulfil the homologation requirements from the same year the model was produced. This allows the proportion of the car to be super compact and special compared to her more modern sisters... and also to have the best sound possible from the flat6!

All cars will be made by hand, which means customers will receive a special attention to detail. The authenticity of the materiality plays a huge role in the reason why we fall in love with these automobiles, and one of the reasons of being timeless!

It is not a race of what is next, but a love of beauty and performance. It is a luxury beyond fashion! Each 964 that comes to us will already have a past, a soul and we are creating a high-quality process, giving a second life to these used beauties!

We are taking it to the extreme with the super sexy wide fender body, necessary in order to house the bigger rims, bigger brakes... bigger engine, a proper upgrade from performance and design specialists. I am very excited to start this new experience and I cannot wait to be behind the wheel of one of these beasts.
