Why I Chose Babson

Why I Chose Babson

My path to Babson was quite funny. I actually applied to be an engineering major everywhere else and last minute decided to apply to Babson. What made me choose Babson in the end was ultimately because Babson chose me and made it evident that they wanted me there as much as I wanted to be there.

I chose Babson because I recognized how they offered their students endless possibilities and opportunities. I also noticed how unique Babson is in the way they choose to structure themselves. They give you entrepreneurial skills and a foundation in every aspect of business to prepare you in whatever industry you end up going into. Additionally, the strong, global network/community that Babson offers while you are a student and alumni was something that I could not pass up.

My Most Memorable Lesson I’ve learned so much in my time at Babson in and out of the classroom. But if I had to pick the most important thing I’ve learned so far, it would be the idea that failure is OK. The idea of failing was something so uncommon for me in high school. After being at Babson and being challenged, I’ve learned one of the most important life lessons: acknowledging that failure makes you normal and an even stronger person.

How Have Student Organizations and Activities Impacted My Babson Experience Here at Babson I am a first-year resident assistant, tour guide, and part of the women’s rugby team. Joining rugby was probably the best decision I have made here at Babson so far. I have met such a diverse, inspiring, and supportive group of women who I now call my best friends. Additionally, being an RA and part of the Admissions office has given

Being around a lot of diverse people on a day-to-day basis and working in some of the environments I’ve worked in at Babson made me truly become a student of the world. Inspired by my studies abroad, I’ve looked into concentrating in global business management. I hope with whatever I end up doing, I can change the world in some way, and in order to change the world you need to see it.

personal leadership and communication skills.

The activities that I take part in out of the classroom are the reason why my experience here at Babson is so complete. The academics here are absolutely incredible, but through the extracurricular opportunities we have here, they give you a vast amount of opportunities to meet people with similar interests, improve your professional skills, and focus on your own personal goals.
