หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ) ยัง คงด�ำเนินงานตามพันธกิจที่วางไว้ตั้งแต่เริ่มต้น คือการเป็นหอศิลป์ ของประชาชนและส�ำหรับประชาชน โดยการสื่อสารกับประชาชน ผ่านศิลปวัฒนธรรม นอกจากนี้ หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ยังมีเป้าหมายที่ จะเป็นจุดเชื่อมต่อด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมในระดับต่างๆ ซึ่งสามารถแบ่ง ออกเป็น 3 ระดับ คือ เชื่อมต่อกับทุกๆ พื้นที่ของกรุงเทพมหานคร เชื่อมต่อกับเมืองต่างๆ ในประเทศไทย และเชื่อมต่อกับเมืองใหญ่ ทั่วโลก ทั้งนี้ ในปี 2562 การด�ำเนินงานของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ใน ระดับกรุงเทพมหานครท�ำได้ดีเยี่ยม โดยมีจ�ำนวนผู้เยี่ยมชมอย่าง ต่อเนื่อง และรูปแบบกิจกรรมมีความหลากหลายตลอดปี ซึ่งทาง คณะกรรมการมูลนิธิหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ และคณะท�ำงานของหอศิลป กรุงเทพฯ ได้พยายามอย่างเต็มที่ที่จะท�ำให้ทุกพื้นที่ของหอศิลป กรุงเทพฯ ด�ำเนินงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและคุ้มค่าที่สุด อย่างไรก็ตาม การด�ำเนินงานของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ในปี 2562 มี ความขัดข้องด้านงบประมาณอยู่บ้าง เนื่องจากไม่ได้รับงบประมาณ จากกรุงเทพมหานคร ซึ่งเป็นผู้สนับสนุนหลัก เพราะมีปัญหาด้าน ข้อระเบียบที่ไม่ชัดเจน ดังนั้น ทางคณะกรรมการมูลนิธิหอศิลป กรุงเทพฯ จึงได้หารือกับผู้บริหารกรุงเทพมหานครถึงแนวทางในการ แก้ไขปัญหาดังกล่าว เพื่อที่จะท�ำให้หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ สามารถ ท�ำงานตามพันธกิจที่ตั้งไว้ได้ ขณะเดียวกันทางหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ต้องหางบประมาณหรือผู้สนับสนุนจากหน่วยงานอื่นและภาคเอกชน มาสนับสนุนการด�ำเนินงานตลอดปี 2562 ซึ่งท�ำให้เห็นวิธีการและ โอกาสใหม่ๆ ในการเชื่อมต่อกับภาคเอกชน องค์กรทั้งในประเทศ และต่างประเทศ รวมทั้งมีการตั้งคณะอนุกรรมการด้านการจัดหา รายได้เพือ่ การจัดหารายได้และบริหารการใช้พนื้ ทีข่ องหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ให้เกิดประโยชน์ที่สุด 10

ปี 2562 เป็นปีแรกทีห่ อศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ได้รบั การสนับสนุนงบประมาณ จากส�ำนักงานคณะกรรมการก�ำกับกิจการพลังงาน ในการท�ำโครงการ “จรัส” แม้วา่ โครงการนีจ้ ะไม่ใช่งานหลักของปี แต่นบั เป็นการเริม่ ต้น ที่ดี ในการน�ำเรื่องพลังงานมาถ่ายทอดผ่านงานศิลปวัฒนธรรม นอกจากนี้ มีนิทรรศการ ความงามนิรนาม ซึ่งหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ได้ร่วมกับ Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan International Exchange Program Executive Committee for Disabled People’s Culture and Arts ประเทศญี่ปุ่น และมูลนิธิ เดอะเรนโบว์ รูม ประเทศไทย จัดขึ้น ซึ่งเป็นงานที่มีคุณค่าและมี ความโดดเด่นในการน�ำเสนอแตกต่างจากที่เราเคยรับรู้ โดยผลงาน ศิลปะที่น�ำมาจัดแสดงสร้างสรรค์จากบุคคลทั่วไป อันสื่อให้เห็นว่า จริงๆ แล้วทุกคนสามารถท�ำงานศิลปะได้หมด ไม่ว่าจะเป็นศิลปะ แบบไหนก็ตาม อย่างไรก็ตาม เป็นที่น่าเสียดายที่นิทรรศการนี้มี เวลาแสดงงานน้อยเกินไป ท�ำให้ยังไม่สามารถสื่อสารกับประชาชน ในวงกว้าง ในนามของคณะกรรมการมูลนิธิหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ขอขอบคุณ ผู้สนับสนุนการด�ำเนินงานของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ โดยเฉพาะบริษัท ไทยเบฟเวอเรจ จ�ำกัด (มหาชน) ซึ่งสนับสนุนมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ จ�ำกัด (มหาชน) บริษัท โอสถสภา จ�ำกัด (มหาชน) กลุ่มบุคคลทั่วไป เช่น คุณประทีป ตั้งมติธรรม ผู้บริหาร บริษัท ศุภาลัย จ�ำกัด (มหาชน) และอีกหลายองค์กรที่เห็นความ ส�ำคัญของงานด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม รวมทั้งส�ำนักงานคณะกรรมการ ก�ำกับกิจการพลังงาน และบริษัท มิลล์คอน สตีล จ�ำกัด (มหาชน) ซึ่งสนับสนุนเป็นปีแรก นอกจากนี้ ขอขอบคุณกรุงเทพมหานคร ศิลปิน และประชาชนที่เข้ามาเยี่ยมชมอย่างต่อเนื่อง ท�ำให้หอศิลป กรุงเทพฯ เป็นหอศิลป์ของประชาชนอย่างแท้จริงตามพันธกิจ

The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) remains committed to the mission at its roots - to be an art and culture centre by the people and for the people, reaching out to the general public through the language of art and culture. In addition to this objective, the BACC aims to serve as a connective tissue in matters of art and culture across three levels - within Bangkok, across cities in Thailand, and across major cities globally. In 2019, the BACC achieved outstanding success in Bangkok with a constant stream of visitors attending a wide range of refreshingly varied activities. The BACC Foundation Committees and the BACC operations staff have done our best to bring out the very best results from every inch of the centre at the right cost.

Regardless, BACC operations throughout 2019 faced a number of financial obstacles. Due to unclear regulations, we did not receive funding from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration as a major sponsor. As a result, the BACC Foundation Committee engaged in discussions with BMA officials to find a way through this issue and help the BACC achieve its target. Meanwhile, efforts continued to secure funding for the BACC from other public and private organisations throughout the year, revealing new avenues to reach out to private sector partners and stakeholders both within Thailand and beyond. A subcommittee was also established specifically for the purpose of raising funds and optimising the use of space within the centre. 2019 was also the first year in which the BACC received financial support from the Office of Energy Regulatory Commission for the “Jaras” project. While not a landmark event for the entire year, this project represents a great start in communicating stories about energy through art and culture. The “Thailand and Japan ART BRUT: Figure of Unknown Beauty” exhibition - which was jointly held by the BACC together with the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan, International Exchange Program Executive Committee for Disabled People’s Culture and Arts as well as Thailand’s Rainbow Room Foundation - was another achievement in outstanding and distinctive presentation of artworks by the general public. While the exhibition succeeded in declaring that anyone can be an artist on any medium, the brief exhibition period still limited its impact on the masses. On behalf of the BACC Foundation Committee, I would like to thank the BACC’s staunch supporters. Special gratitude goes out to Thai Beverage PCL as a continued supporter of our work, Siam Commercial Bank PCL, Osotspa PCL, individual patrons such as Prateep Tangmatitham of Supalai PCL, and many other organisations who have shown a recognition of the value of art and culture - including the Office of Energy Regulatory Commission and Millcon Steel PCL as new sponsors. I would also like to thank the BMA as well as every artist and visitor for their role in helping the BACC fulfil its mission as the people’s art centre. 11

หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ) ได้รับการจัดตั้งและสนับสนุนงบประมาณหลักในการบริหารจาก กรุงเทพมหานคร โดยกรุงเทพมหานครได้จัดตั้งมูลนิธิหอศิลป วัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร เพื่อดำ�เนินการบริหารหอศิลป กรุงเทพฯ เพื่อให้เป็นไปตามวัตถุประสงค์ที่กรุงเทพมหานครวางไว้ ในปี พ.ศ. 2562 หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ไม่ได้รับการสนับสนุนงบ ประมาณจากกรุงเทพมหานคร ทำ�ให้หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ มีความ จำ�เป็นต้องปรับแผนการดำ�เนินงานให้สอดคล้องกับสถานการณ์ที่ เกิดขึ้น โดยหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ได้จัดหางบประมาณจากการจัดหา รายได้ช่องทางต่างๆ คือ • การหารายได้จากอสังหาริมทรัพย์ของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ในพื้นที่ส่วนโครงการร้านค้า artHUB • การหารายได้จากการให้บริการพื้นที่อื่นๆ • การหารายได้จากการจำ�หน่ายสินค้าที่ระลึกเกี่ยวกับ นิทรรศการและกิจกรรม • การหารายได้จากการขอสนับสนุนจากหน่วยงานภาคเอกชน • การสนับสนุนจากประชาชนผ่านช่องทางต่างๆ ทั้งนี้ มูลนิธิหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร มีความตั้งใจ ถึงการจัดหารายได้ให้มีอัตราส่วนที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างเหมาะสม เพื่อให้ สามารถมีทนุ เพียงพอในการดำ�เนินงานและจัดกิจกรรมทีม่ มี าตรฐาน ระดับสากลได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง และต้องไม่ส่งผลกระทบต่อประชาชน ผู้ใช้บริการ อีกทั้งยังเป็นการสร้างช่องทางการเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมจาก ภาคเอกชน ในการสนับสนุนการดำ�เนินงานของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ เพื่อสร้างหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ให้เป็นสถาบันทางศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่ ยั่งยืนต่อไป

The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) was established and received supportive funding mainly from the BMA for the purpose of the facility’s management. The BMA had established the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation on the grounds of facilitating BACC and its operations which were aimed towards fulfilling the BMA’s goals. In 2019, BACC received zero funding from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. Therefore, it was necessary for the BACC to adopt a new working plan to maintain our works. The funding channels include: received its main revenue through many ways: • BACC’s real estate revenue in the artHUB zone including stores, bookshops and restaurants • Rental space revenue • Sales of activities and exhibition souvenirs revenue • Private organisation sponsorship revenue • Public donation through multi-channels BACC’s foundation had considerately raised an appropriate amount of balanced revenue aimed towards holding future events with international standards while at the same time not to affect services provided for its visitors. Furthermore, it also aimed to encourage private organisations involvement in being a part of supporting BACC as a continuing art and cultural facility onwards.

ปี พ.ศ. 2562 ภาพรวมนิทรรศการศิลปะจำ�นวน 10 นิทรรศการ ณ พื้นที่นิทรรศการชั้น 7, 8 และ 9 นำ�เสนอผ่านประเด็นความ หลากหลาย (diversity) มิติชายขอบ (minority) และการบุกเบิก (pioneer) เป็นสาระสำ�คัญในการพิจารณาสร้างสรรค์นิทรรศการ ในปีดังกล่าว จะพบว่านิทรรศการแต่ละชั้นปรากฏความต่อเนื่องและ ร้อยเรียงสาระเชื่อมโยงเข้าหากัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นมิติทางแนวคิด สื่อ หรือประเภทผลงาน ตลอดจนประเภทของกลุ่มศิลปินที่หลากหลาย ดังนี้ 1) นิทรรศการภาพถ่ายฝีพระหัตถ์ “สวัสดีปีจอหมา มาคอยท่า ปีกุนหมู” เป็นโครงการที่นำ�เสนอพระอัจฉริยภาพด้านการถ่ายภาพ ผ่านมุมมองศิลปะภาพถ่ายในสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี (พระอิสริยยศในขณะนั้น) โปรดเกล้าฯ พระราชทานภาพถ่ายฝีพระหัตถ์ที่ทรงบันทึกไว้ระหว่างการเสด็จ พระราชดำ�เนินไปยังสถานที่ต่างๆ ในช่วงปี 2560 - 2561 โดยแต่ละ ปีจะมีประเด็น สาระ และความคิดการนำ�เสนอที่แตกต่างกันออกไป 2) Concept Context Contestation (CCC) นิทรรศการศิลปะ ร่วมสมัยเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้สญ ั จร จัดแสดง ณ The Secretariat Yangon ในเดือนมกราคม ปี พ.ศ. 2562 นิทรรศการ CCC ริเริ่ม โดยหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ในปี พ.ศ. 2556 เพื่อเผยแผ่องค์ความรู้ความเข้าใจ บริบทสังคม ประวัติศาสตร์ วัฒนธรรม ตลอดจนการศึกษาเรียนรู้ความหลากหลายผ่านผลงาน ศิลปะร่วมสมัย 3) EARLY YEARS PROJECT#4 ‘Praxis Makes Perfect’ โครงการบ่มเพาะและสร้างเครือข่ายศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ เน้นความสำ�คัญ ของกระบวนการปฏิบตั กิ าร (Praxis) ตกผลึกความคิดและองค์ความรู้ นำ�ไปสู่การสร้างกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ทางศิลปะ ทั้งนี้ ศิลปิน ในโครงการจะได้รับประสบการณ์จากศิลปินอาชีพ นักวิจารณ์ นักประวัตศิ าสตร์ ตลอดจนผูช้ มงาน เพือ่ นำ�องค์ความรูป้ ระสบการณ์ ที่ได้รับจากโครงการพัฒนาต่อเนื่องสู่การเป็นศิลปินอาชีพในอนาคต เป็นนิทรรศการที่เน้นการพัฒนาฝีมือและเปิดโอกาสให้ศิลปินมีพื้นที่ ในการแสดงผลงาน 4) นิทรรศการศิลปกรรมช้างเผือก ครั้งที่ 8 “รื่นเริง เถลิงศก” กิจกรรมการประกวดผลงานศิลปกรรมทีส่ ำ�คัญของประเทศ สื่อความ หมายถึงช่วงเวลาแห่งการเริม่ ต้นศักราชใหม่อนั รุง่ โรจน์รน่ื เริง บอกเล่า

ชมการจำ�ลองสถานการณ์การบำ�บัด เพื่อเปิดรับประสบการณ์ใหม่ และพิจารณาถึงคุณค่าความสำ�คัญของศิลปะที่มีต่อมนุษย์ 10) นิทรรศการ “สนทนาสัปตสนธิ ๒” นิทรรศการที่สะท้อน สภาวะร่วมสมัยได้ดีนิทรรศการหนึ่ง เกี่ยวข้องกับประเด็นผู้มีความ หลากหลายทางเพศ ในภูมภิ าคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้และ ใกล้เคียง ผลงานส่วนหนึง่ ในนิทรรศการนี้ได้รบั การสนับสนุนร่วมมือ โดยมูลนิธซิ นั ไพรด์ เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นถึงสภาวะ สถานะ และบริบท ต่างๆ ของผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ อาศัยผลงานศิลปกรรม ร่วมสมัยในการเปิดเผยประเด็นดังกล่าว In 2019, a total of 10 exhibitions were held in the exhibition space on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors. These exhibits primarily focused on diversity, minority, and pioneering visions as major themes for the year, and the showcases placed on each floor exhibited a clear sense of continuity and cohesion in terms of concepts, medium, and variety of featured artists. 1) The “Hello Puppy, Greeting Piggy” photography exhibition placed the spotlight on the photographic talents and artistic perspectives of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who graciously granted access to collections of photos taken during her travels throughout 2017 - 2018. In each of the featured years, the collection showed differences and progression in subject matters, perspectives, and styles of presentation. 2) Concept Context Contestation (CCC), a touring exhibition of contemporary Southeast Asian art held at The Secretariat Yangon in January 2019, was first conceived by the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in 2013 to raise understanding of social context, history, culture, and diversity through contemporary art. 3) EARLY YEARS PROJECT #4: ‘Praxis Makes Perfect’ continued an initiative to develop and connect up-and-coming artists. This year’s edition highlighted the importance of praxis as a way to reflect on one’s thoughts and knowledge and inspire an artistic creative process. Participating artists had the opportunity to learn from professional artists, critics, historians, and even the audience to integrate their expertise and experiences into their journey as a full-fledged artist. The exhibition provided these developing artists with a space to hone their skills and display their creations. 4) The 8th White Elephant Art Award exhibition - “Joyous Celebrations” - was the continuation of one of Thailand’s major art competitions. The 8th annual edition is rooted in the celebratory mood found during the transition from one year to another, evoking a sense of happiness, hope, and generosity shared by everyone.

5) The 5th Bangkok Triennale International Paint and Drawing Competition encouraged Thai and international artists to express themselves through prints and drawings. Participating artists were able to interpret and communicate their viewpoints on both schools of art through their very processes. 6) The “Pioneers in Video Art from Thailand, Slovenia, and Norway Since 1980” exhibition was a joint effort that presented diverse artistic identities and cultures through the use of new or technologically advanced media for communication and informational consumption as the importance of technology continues to grow in everyday life. The exhibit also explored similarities, differences, and bonds between the three countries through art. 7) “RIFTS: Thai Contemporary Artistic Practices in Transition, 1980s - 2000s” dialled in on the exploration of historical context and evolution of Thai contemporary art, bringing to light the transitional period from modern to contemporary in Thai society. The exhibit highlighted the artistic schools of thought, concepts, and methods of expression in this specific era, which continues to influence contemporary Thai artists today. 8) The “Thailand and Japan ART BRUT: Figure of Unknown Beauty” exhibition showcased the artistic diversity found among those with special needs. Art Brut describes a school of art driven by outsiders of the art scene, expressing their identity and perspective on various events and phenomena through art with no prior artistic education or training. This exhibition was supported by the Social Welfare Organization (GLOW). 9) The “Art of Element & Therapy” exhibition recreated the art therapy experience for visitors to see for themselves the inner workings of the procedure and the function of art as a therapeutic exercise. By taking part in the simulated therapy, the audience opened themselves up for new experiences and new ways to examine the impact of art on human lives. 10) “SPECTROSYNTHESIS II - Exposure of Tolerance: LGBTQ in Southeast Asia” ruminated on the contemporary issue of gender diversity among the LGBTQ crowd of Southeast Asia and nearby regions. A number of works featured in the exhibition was supplied by the Sunpride Foundation specifically to highlight the situation, status, and context surrounding the LGBTQ community through contemporary art. 17

For the fourth edition of the Early Years Project, held under the theme “Praxis Makes Perfect”, the organising committee is shining a light on the importance of praxis a process that leads to discussion, debate, and formation of ideas and knowledge on the artists’ part to fuel their creative process. The process also concerns the opening of the public sphere for artists to communicate and interact with people across society via their art throughout the entirety of the project’s duration.

By highlighting featured movements in 20th century, the exhibition looks back at a decade of history, exploring rational behind the head of the artists and art influencers who questioned the orthodox practices, conducted conceptual experiments, and free themselves from limitations. Artists in these decades even further explored into the then insufficient definitions so as to create a trend of diversity, bringing to light a dialogue that crossed the past, the present, and the possibility of the future.

หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ได้ดำ�เนินงาน “โครงการจรัส แสงสร้างสรรค์” ซึ่งเป็นโครงการเพื่อสร้าง แรงบันดาลใจ ส่งเสริมให้ประชาชนมีความรู้ความเข้าใจ เกี่ยวกับพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ พลังงานสะอาดที่ทุกคนเข้าถึงได้

As the organisation responsible for providing resources and connections for the BACC, the Foundation Office has engaged in partnerships to ensure continued support for various activities - including the provision of both funding and supplies - that fulfil the centre’s objectives. While the Foundation still faces an ongoing shortage of funds from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), financial support was still attained from Thai Beverage PCL, a major sponsor, as well as individual project sponsors such as Siam Commercial Bank PCL, Osotspa PCL, and Siam Piwat PCL. Additional opportunities were identified through collaborative efforts with state agencies to generate funding. For the first time ever, the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation became one of the strategic partners of the Energy Regulatory Commission’s 2019 Power Development Fund. The BACC’s JARAS Project was initiated to inform and inspire the general public on the matter of solar energy - a source of clean energy that is universally accessible - through the medium of art exhibitions and cultural activities as well as the “JARAS Room” learning space. Launched in November 2019, the project will continue through to August 2020. For the private sector, the Foundation received funding support from Millcon Steel PCL for EARLY YEARS PROJECT #5, an incubating project for young artists under the theme of

“Tomorrow… Aesthetics, Contemporaries and Environment”. Representatives from the company also participated as panellists responsible for selecting artists for the project, while its plant space was opened up for joint learning activities that benefited artists and company officials alike. Started in 2019, this project will continue into 2020. Furthermore, Supalai PCL donated proceeds from its “Prateep’s Vision III” photo exhibition to the Foundation to support the work of the BACC. These collaborations represent newfound levels of positive outlook and attitudes towards contemporary art and culture from organisations across the public and private sectors. Regardless, the Foundation remains committed to the mission of seeking partnerships and support that ensure the stability and growth of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre’s operations. Given that 2019 was a year of transition for the Foundation’s board members, the Foundation Office’s efforts in forging partnerships were focused on building connections between board members, organising meetings, and reaching out to various agencies under the BMA as well as other public and private organisations to organise visits to the BACC and participation in the centre’s activities. 33

มูลนิธิหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร มีแนวความคิดต่อ เรื่องพลังงานว่าเป็นเรือ่ งส�ำคัญของสังคมมนุษย์ เราใช้พลังงานกัน ตลอดเวลาไม่วา่ เราจะหลับหรือตืน่ ทัง้ เพือ่ หุงอาหาร ให้ความอบอุน่ ภายในอาคาร เปิดเครื่องปรับอากาศเพื่อลดความร้อน เราใช้ไฟฟ้า ส่องสว่าง ใช้เครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าเพื่ออ�ำนวยความสะดวก ทั้งในบ้านและ ที่ท�ำงาน เพียงการไฟฟ้าประกาศความจ�ำเป็นต้องตัดไฟฟ้าในบริเวณ ใดเพื่อท�ำการซ่อมบ�ำรุง ก็แทบจะท�ำให้บริเวณนั้นร้างผูค้ น ด้วยไม่ สามารถอยู่ในบ้านเรือนหรืออาคารทีข่ าดพลังงานได้ เป้าหมายเรื่องพลังงานของสหประชาชาติโดยหลักการจึงอยูท่ ี่ ภายในปี 2573 จะท�ำให้เกิดการผลิตไฟฟ้าทีเ่ หมาะสมในทุกที่ หมายถึง การลงทุนในแหล่งพลังงานสะอาด เช่น พลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ พลังงานลม และพลังงานความร้อน การน�ำมาตรฐานการประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายที่มี ประสิทธิภาพมาใช้ในอาคารและอุตสาหกรรมส�ำหรับความหลากหลาย ของเทคโนโลยียังสามารถลดการใช้ไฟฟ้าทั่วโลกได้ 14% ซึง่ หมายถึง การลดการใช้งานโรงไฟฟ้าขนาดกลาง ประมาณ 1,300 แห่ง การขยาย โครงสร้างพื้นฐานและพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีเพื่อให้มีแหล่งที่มาของ พลังงานสะอาดในประเทศทีก่ �ำลังพัฒนา เป็นเป้าหมายส�ำคัญทีท่ งั้ การขยายโครงสร้างและการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีสามารถส่งเสริมการ เจริญเติบโตและช่วยเหลือสิ่งแวดล้อมได้ ส�ำหรับประเทศไทย จะเห็นได้ว่าเกิดความขัดแย้งเรื่องของแนวคิด ในเรือ่ งของพลังงานอยูเ่ ป็นระยะ โดยมีชดุ ข้อมูล ความคิด ความเชือ่ ซึง่ มักจะก่อให้เกิดความขัดแย้งทางสังคมซึ่งน�ำไปสู่ความไม่เข้าใจ และความรุนแรง แต่พลังงานสะอาดจากแสงอาทิตย์ (Solar) เป็นที่ ยอมรับในวงกว้างว่าเป็นพลังงานที่กระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมน้อยที่สุด ซึ่งตลอดระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมา ภาครัฐได้มีความพยายามในการให้ ความรู้ถึงการผลิตพลังงานฟ้าจากโซลาร์เซลล์ (Solar Cell) ผ่าน ช่องทางและขบวนการต่างๆ ซึง่ ยังไม่ได้รบั การตอบสนองอย่างน่าพอใจ อาจเป็นเพราะเทคโนโลยียงั คงมีราคาสูง กติกาการจูงใจยังคงไม่ชดั เจน หรือมีความยุง่ ยาก และอีกเหตุผลหนึง่ ทีส่ �ำคัญมากคือ การทีป่ ระชาชน ยังมีก�ำแพงความรู้สึกต่อค�ำว่า โซลาร์เซลล์ ว่า “แพง ยุ่งยาก ไม่สม�่ำเสมอ วิชาการเยอะ” เป็นต้น หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ จึงมีแนวความคิดที่จะด�ำเนินโครงการ “จรัส”: ศิลปะเพื่อทางเลือกใหม่ของพลังงานไฟฟ้า (หรือโครงการจรัสแสง สร้างสรรค์) เพื่อทลายก�ำแพง “ความรู้สึก” ดังกล่าว ให้เปลี่ยนเป็น “ความรู้” ที่เข้าถึงประชาชนอย่างง่ายผ่านกระบวนการทางศิลปะใน รูปแบบต่างๆ ทั้งนิทรรศการ การออกแบบ ภาพยนตร์ การแสดง การศึกษา เวิรก์ ชอป กิจกรรมเด็ก ทัง้ ในพืน้ ทีอ่ าคารหอศิลปวัฒนธรรม แห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร และพืน้ ทีช่ มุ ชนเป้าหมายต่างๆ ในการทีจ่ ะสร้าง ความรู้จริง ผ่านข้อมูลจริง ให้ประชาชนเข้าใจถึงพลังงานสะอาด เริม่ ต้นจากการใช้พลังงานของแสงอาทิตย์ การผลิตพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ การมีส่วนรับผิดชอบต่ออนาคตพลังงานของประเทศ หรือของโลก ต่อไป

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) Foundation considers energy to be a central concern in human society. We are constantly consuming energy - no matter while awake or asleep. From cooking to indoor temperature control to lighting and various conveniences at home and at work, we rely so much on electricity that any temporary blackout or power grid maintenance would render the affected area essentially abandoned. The United Nations has declared a goal to achieve effectively sustainable electricity generation worldwide by 2030. This involves investments into clean energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal power, adoption of new energy conservation standards across the board, and various technologies that could combine to reduce global power consumption by 14% - a reduction that equates to the capacity of 1,300 mid-size power plants. Infrastructural expansion and technological development both play key roles in bringing clean energy to developing nations, who in turn play a key part in safeguarding the environment. In Thailand, we have seen periods of conflicting ideals and perspectives on energy, each driven by violently contrasting sets of information, principles, and beliefs. Regardless, solar power is still widely regarded as one of the least environmentally impactful sources of energy. The public sector has long been working to raise awareness and understanding of solar cell technology through various means - all of which have yet to achieve a satisfying level of impact. This could be due to the high price of technologies and equipment involved, unclear incentives, or complexity of installation. One major obstacle is the widely-shared notion that solar cells are expensive, complicated, inconsistent, and more academic than practical as an energy source. The BACC thus initiated Jaras Project: Art for New Alternatives in Energy (or Jaras: Light of Creativity) project to overcome this barrier in perception, turning it into proper understanding made accessible through various artistic methods. Through exhibitions, design works, films, performances, educational programs, workshops, and children’s activities both at the BACC itself and in targeted communities, the project seeks to create genuine public understanding through genuine insights into solar power generation and utilisation as well as our shared responsibility to the future of energy - both in Thailand and around the world.

ห้องจรัส Jaras Lab พฤศจิกายน 2562 - สิงหาคม 2563 ห้องจรัส ชั้น 3 หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ได้จัดทำ�ห้องจรัสขึ้น เพื่อจัดเป็น จรัสLab: ศูนย์เรียนรู้เรื่องพลังงานสะอาดที่ทุกคน เข้าถึงได้ ในรูปนิทรรศการกึ่งถาวร นำ�เสนอข้อมูลในรูปแบบ นิทรรศการหมุนเวียน 3 หัวข้อได้แก่ 1) พื้นฐานความรู้ความเข้าใจ เรื่องพลังงานและพลังงานทดแทน 2) พลังงานทดแทน solar cell และ 3) แนวคิดและแนวทางพัฒนาพลังงานทดแทนในอนาคต โดย นิทรรศการหมุนเวียนครั้งแรกใช้ชื่อว่า “พลังงานสะอาด ของขวัญ จากโลก” ซึ่งได้รวบรวมข้อมูลพื้นฐานเรื่องพลังงานและพลังงาน ทดแทนไว้ เพื่อให้ได้ทำ�ความรู้จัก ทำ�ความเข้าใจที่มาของพลังงาน และตระหนักถึงความสำ�คัญของการมองหาพลังงานทดแทนใน อนาคต นอกจากข้อมูลผ่านสื่อโสตทัศน์และมุมความรู้แล้ว ในห้องจรัส ยังมีกิจกรรมประกอบนิทรรศการ อาทิ การเสวนา รวมถึงกิจกรรม สำ�หรับเด็กและเยาวชนอย่างกิจกรรมศิลปะประดิษฐ์ “แสงสีสวย” และกิจกรรมนำ�ชมนิทรรศการผ่านใบงาน (exhibition trail) ตลอด โครงการ โดยกิจกรรมเสริมเหล่านี้มีจุดเด่นของการใช้แนวคิดการ จัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ศิลปะเป็นฐาน (Arts-Based Learning) เป็น กลวิธีหลักในกระบวนการออกแบบกิจกรรม ทั้งนี้ กระแสไฟที่ใช้ดำ�เนินการนิทรรศการและกิจกรรมส่วนหนึ่ง ได้มาจากระบบการผลิตไฟฟ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ ที่ติดตั้งบนชั้น ดาดฟ้าของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ

November 2019 - August 2020 Jaras Lab, 3rd floor The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre turned a space into “Jaras Lab” - a clean energy learning centre that offers easily accessible knowledge through semi-permanent exhibits on three subjects: basic understanding of energy and alternative energy sources, solar cell power, and future development of alternative energy. The first exhibition held in Jaras Lab was “Clean Energy: A Present from the Earth” a collection of basic facts on energy and alternative energy that inform visitors of various sources of energy and the importance of alternative energy to our future. In addition to visual media and learning materials on offer, Jaras Lab also features activities that tie into the exhibits - including discussions and children-oriented activities such as the “Beautiful Lights” handicraft arts workshop and an exhibition trail guided tour. These activities all use arts-based learning as a basis for design and execution. A portion of electricity powering the exhibits and activities is generated by a solar cell system installed on the roof of the BACC.

จรัสLight Fest: เทศกาลศิลปะ แสงกลางแจ้ง Jaras Light Fest: Outdoor light-based art exhibition 19 ธันวาคม 2562 - 9 กุมภาพันธ์ 2563 ลานด้านหน้า และทางเชื่อมชั้น 3 นิทรรศการแสงครั้งแรกของไทยที่นำ�เสนอผลงานด้านพลังงาน แสงอาทิตย์อย่างเต็มรูปแบบ ด้วยวัตถุประสงค์เพือ่ ให้ศลิ ปะ ซึง่ เป็นสือ่ หนึง่ ทีส่ ามารถสร้างประสบการณ์เชิงประจักษ์และจับต้องได้ ช่วยสร้าง สำ�นึกของการมาถึงแห่งยุคของพลังงานทางเลือกในการผลิตไฟฟ้า โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ (solar energy) และสร้าง แรงกระตุ้นให้เกิดการนำ�ไปปฏิบัติจริงในชีวิตประจำ�วัน ศิลปินที่เข้าร่วมโครงการประกอบไปด้วย 4 ศิลปินรับเชิญ ได้แก่ นพไชย อังควัฒนะพงษ์, วศินบุรี สุพานิชวรภาชน์, พงษธัช อ่วยกลาง และกฤช งามสม และศิลปินกลุ่ม open call ที่ผ่านการคัดเลือก จำ�นวน 5 คน และ 3 กลุม่ ได้แก่ ขจรศักดิ์ โภคพูล, คมกฤษ เทพเทียน, อภิรฐั สว่างหล้า, รุง่ เรือง สิทธิฤกษ์, เอกชญงค์ พรขจรกิจกุล, กลุ่ม conscious x KIMBAB:), กลุ่ม H-Lab Collective และ กลุ่ม ZIEGHT Project ผลงานประติมากรรมและศิลปะติดตั้งทั้งหมดจำ�นวน 12 ชิ้น ใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าสำ�หรับให้แสงสว่างและขับเคลื่อนกลไก ส่วนหนึ่ง มาจากแผงโซล่าร์เซลล์ที่ติดตั้งในตัวชิ้นงานเอง และส่วนหนึ่งมาจาก แผงที่ติดตั้งบนหลังคาของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ เพื่อให้เห็นว่าศิลปิน และงานศิลปะสามารถมีส่วนร่วมในการอนุรักษ์พลังงานได้อย่างไร จุดเด่นสำ�คัญประการแรกของนิทรรศการศิลปะแสงครั้งนี้อยู่ที่ ผู้ชมสามารถเข้ามามีปฏิสัมพันธ์ร่วมกับชิ้นงานได้ นอกเหนือจาก การสร้างประสบการณ์สุนทรียะและความตื่นตาตื่นใจทางแสงสี ให้เกิดขึ้น ณ สี่แยกกลางกรุงเทพมหานครแล้ว ศิลปินยังได้ เชือ่ มโยงประเด็นทีน่ า่ สนใจต่างๆ ทัง้ ทางด้านเทคโนโลยี วัสดุศาสตร์ จิตวิญญาณและความเชือ่ ขนบประเพณี มิตทิ างสังคม การออกแบบ เพื่อการใช้สอย และอื่นๆ เข้าไปในเนื้อหาของตนเอง

19 December 2019 - 9 February 2020 Open Space and 3rd floor walkway Jaras Light Fest is Thailand’s first light-based art exhibition that exclusively features solar-powered works, all conceived to build awareness of the coming era of alternative energy - especially solar power - through artworks that not only engage the sight and physical sensations but also encourage adoption of cleaner energy in daily life. Participating artists include four guest artists - Nopchai Ungkavatanapong, Wasinburee Supanichvoraparch, Pongsatat Uaiklang, and Krit Ngamsom - as well as selected open-call artists. The latter includes five individual artists and three groups, namely Kajornsak Pokpool, Komkrit Tepthian, Apirat Sawanglar, Rungruang Sittirerk, Eakchayong Pornkajornkijkul, conscious x KIMBAB:), H-Lab Collective, and ZIEGHT Project. The 12 pieces of sculptural and installation art feature lighting and mechanical elements that draw power from both built-in solar panels and the solar power system installed on the BACC’s roof. Each piece showcases how artists and art itself can be part of the movement for energy conservation. The most remarkable aspect of this light-based art exhibition is the level of interactivity between each piece and its viewers. In addition to creating an exciting, colourful, and aestheticallypleasing experience right in the heart of Bangkok, the featured artists also presented intriguing notions in technology, material science, spiritual beliefs, traditions, society, industrial design, and more.

เทศกาลภาพยนตร์คัดสรร Cinema Diverse 2019: GLoW!: (Gay, Lesbian or Whatever!) เป็นครัง้ ที่ 7 ของเทศกาลฯ ริเริม่ และดำ�เนินงานโดยฝ่ายกิจกรรมศิลปะ หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่ง กรุงเทพมหานคร นำ�เสนอภาพยนตร์ 4 เรือ่ งทีค่ ดั สรรโดยบุคคลที่ มีมุมมองอันน่าสนใจเรื่องความหลากหลายทางเพศ พร้อมพูดคุย กับผู้คัดสรร 4 ท่านภายหลังการฉาย โดยกิจกรรมนี้จัดขึ้นในเดือน กันยายน - ตุลาคม 2562 ผู้ชมได้รับชมภาพยนตร์ที่คัดสรรโดย นักมานุษยวิทยา ผู้กำ�กับภาพยนตร์ นักวิชาการด้านประวัติศาสตร์ และนักเขียน โดยมุ่งสร้างพื้นที่แลกเปลี่ยนบทสนทนาระหว่าง ผู้คัดสรรภาพยนตร์และผูช้ ม ผูจ้ ดั เทศกาลฯ หวังเป็นอย่างยิง่ ว่า ด้วยกระบวนการและผลลัพธ์ของกิจกรรมครั้งนี้จะส่งผลให้เกิดการ เชื่อมต่อองค์ความรู้และถ่ายทอดประสบการณ์อันมีค่าจากศิลปิน ผู้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานมาสู่สังคมไทยต่อไป กิจกรรมนี้สอดคล้องกับนิทรรศการ “สนทนาสัปตสนธิ ๒” ซึ่งจัดแสดงตั้งแต่วันที่ 23 พฤศจิกายน 2562 - 1 มีนาคม 2563 ณ ห้องนิทรรศการหลัก ชั้น 7 และ 8 หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่ง กรุงเทพมหานคร The 7th Cinema Diverse, “Cinema Diverse 2019: GLoW!: (Gay, Lesbian or Whatever!”) organised by Arts Activity Department, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), presented four international films, selected by a humanities scholar, a filmmaker, a history professor and a writer were shown from September - October 2019. After each screening there was a post-screening talk and a Q&A session to discuss ideas and thoughts about the film. BACC hopes that “Cinema Diverse 2019: GLoW !” helps create a platform where inspiring discussions and motivated dialogues are generated between the 4 invited speakers and the audience. BACC wishes that Cinema Diverse will continue to help building the bridge, connecting insightful perspectives and sharing valuable practices from prominent Thai filmmakers and speakers to the public. This programme is in accordance with the exhibition of SPECTROSYNTHESIS II- Exposure of Tolerance: LGBTQ in Southeast Asia from 23 November 2019 to 1 March 2020 at the 7th & 8th floor, BACC.

The film is chosen by Narupon Duangwises, Ph.D., who has been devoting himself to promoting and raising awareness of gender diversity in Thailand. He is the Head of the Research and Development Department, Princess Sirindhorn Anthropology Center and Vice President, Academic Affairs at Sexualities Studies Association. 2. Nico and Dani (2000)

It won the Special Award of the Youth at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000. The film is chosen by Chukiat Sakveerakul, the director of the first Thai movies that celebrates gender diversity “Love of Siam” (2007).

The film is chosen by Assoc. Prof. Wasana Wongsurawat, Ph.D., a historian of transnational Asia and the Chinese diaspora. She currently teaches the modern history of China and Japan at the Department of History and serves as the Director of Thai Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. In 2017, she was selected to serve as one of the Southeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS).

The film is chosen by Tomorn Sookprecha, one of the most prolific authors in Thailand. He is also a translator and writer with more than 30 books published, with notable works on gender hamely “Early Desire” and “Genderism”. 41

เทศกาลศิลปะการแสดง ครั้งที่ 8 Performative Art Festival 2019 (P.A.F.#8)

เทศกาลศิลปะการแสดง Performative Art Festival (P.A.F.) สนับสนุนและส่งเสริมให้เกิดพื้นที่การแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ แนวคิด ประสบการณ์ และสร้างบทสนทนาระหว่างศิลปินและผู้ชมงาน ศิลปะการแสดง นอกจากเทศกาลระดับชาติและนานาชาติทร่ี ว่ มจัด ขึน้ ในกรอบของเทศกาลนี้เหมือนเช่นทุกปี เทศกาลครั้งที่ 8 ยังได้ เปิดรับสมัคร คัดสรร และร่วมสนับสนุนการสร้างผลงานใหม่ที่นำ� เสนอประเด็นที่เกี่ยวกับผู้มีความต้องการพิเศษ เพื่อเชื่อมโยงกับ นิทรรศการ “ความงามนิรนาม” ซึ่งเริ่มในเดือนกรกฎาคม 2562 ได้แก่ การแสดงชุด “Nil’s Vision: ภาพที่นิลเห็น” และ ”Sunny Side up: เกือบสุข” ซึ่งบอกเล่าเรื่องราวของผู้พิการทางสายตา แต่มีพรสวรรค์ในมิติอื่นๆ ได้อย่างน่าสนใจ นอกจากนั้น เทศกาลนี้ ได้ร่วมเป็นผู้อำ�นวยการสร้างของการแสดงชุด streaming ซึ่งได้รับ ทุน International Co-Production Fund จากสถาบันเกอเธ่ หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ) ยินดีที่ได้ทำ�งานร่วมกับกลุ่มศิลปินด้านศิลปะการแสดงทั้งไทยและ นานาชาติผู้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง ร่วมเผยแพร่เนื้อหาอันมี ค่าในรูปแบบหลากหลาย เพือ่ สะท้อนมิตทิ างสังคมต่างๆ สูส่ งั คมต่อไป

Performative Art Festival (P.A.F.) serves as an open platform for dynamic exchange of knowledge, insight, experience and dialogue between artists and audiences in contemporary performing arts. In addition to national and international festivals, showcases and meetings which have been part of our framework, this eighth edition of P.A.F. has also had an open call for proposals and is supporting creation of new works. In coherence with the “Thailand and Japan ART BRUT: Figure of Unknown Beauty“ exhibition starting in July, two stage works “Nil’s Vision” and “Sunny Side up” in the following months tell stories of visually impaired people with special talents. Moreover, P.A.F.’s co-production “streaming”, a ThailandGermany contemporary dance collaboration, is fully supported by the Goethe Institut’s International Co-Production Fund. As always, BACC is pleased to be working with professional artists, both local and international, in telling intriguing stories and conveying significant messages to the public through diverse genres of performing arts.

July - December 2019, Studio, 4th floor Festival Director: Kanharat Leamthong The year 2019 marks the 8th consecutive year that the BACC has joined forces with the Performing Artists’ Network to present Performative Art Festival. This collaboration aims to promote performing arts as a bridge between artists and the public, as well as to encourage dialogue and the exchange of ideas between artists and audience. The year’s festival features various types of performances from both local and international artists including live performances, workshops, and symposium. Apart from performances, there were also artists’ talks and workshops on performing arts. The highlights of this year’s festival include: 1. หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ) ได้ จัดตัง้ ฝ่ายการศึกษาขึน้ มาอย่างเป็นเอกเทศเมือ่ ปี 2556 เพือ่ ส่งเสริม ให้มีกิจกรรมการศึกษาเพื่อขยายองค์ความรู้ โดยอาศัยเนื้อหาจาก ห้องนิทรรศการหลักชั้น 7 - 9 ซึ่งฝ่ายการศึกษาเป็นแกนในการ ดำ�เนินการ อย่างไรก็ตาม ด้วยงบประมาณที่จำ�กัดทำ�ให้ต้องงด กิจกรรมประจำ�ปีจำ�นวนหนึ่งในปี 2562 แต่ด้วยความร่วมมือจาก องค์กรภายนอกทำ�ให้ยังสามารถคงกิจกรรมรายการสำ�คัญๆ ไว้ได้ อาทิ สาขาวิชาศิลปศึกษา ภาควิชาศิลปะ ดนตรี และนาฏศิลป์ศึกษา คณะครุศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และคณะครุศาสตร์สาขา วิชาศิลปศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏบ้านสมเด็จเจ้าพระยา ร่วมจัด โครงการพาน้องท่องหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ อีกทั้งความร่วมมือระหว่าง พิพิธภัณฑ์ผ้าในสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ สถาน เอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำ�ประเทศไทย ในการจัดกิจกรรม “พิพิธภัณฑ์ยุคดิจิทัล: เทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่กับพิพิธภัณฑ์ในศตวรรษ ที่ 21” และกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตัวละครลิงจาก 2 ดินแดน ระหว่าง ประเทศไทยและประเทศไต้หวัน ในกิจกรรม ลิง-โลด: ไทย-ไต้หวัน ในปี 2562 ฝ่ายการศึกษาริเริ่มหลายโครงการ อาทิ ด้านการ เชื่อมต่อระหว่างศิลปะในเข้ากับสถานการณ์สิ่งแวดล้อมในปัจจุบัน หลังจากที่ได้เริ่มปูพื้นฐานไปบ้างแล้วภายใต้ร่มใหญ่โครงการ ‘จรัส แสงสร้างสรรค์’ อีกทั้งได้ดำ�เนินการกิจกรรมภาคเด็กเยาวชนและ ครอบครัวให้รวมอยู่ในวันเดียวกันของแต่ละเดือน ภายใต้ชื่อโครงการ ‘BACC Kid’s Calendar 2019’ เพื่อความสะดวกในการมาร่วม กิจกรรม รวมถึงขยายเนื้อหาไปสู่ภาคพื้นอื่นๆ โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มคน ที่ด้อยโอกาสหรือถูกกีดกันในสังคม เพื่อยังคงความเป็นศูนย์ต้นแบบ แห่งหนึ่งของประเทศไทยในการทำ�กิจกรรมการศึกษาด้วยฐานงาน ศิลปะ ด้วยยอดผู้เข้าชมและผู้เข้าใช้บริการการนำ�ชมในลักษณะ กลุ่มที่มีทั้งสถาบันการศึกษา รวมไปถึงผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมการศึกษา โดยเฉลี่ยที่ยังสูงและเติบโตขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง อีกทั้งด้วยความ หลากหลายของกิจกรรมที่เพิ่มมากขึ้น หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ จะยัง คงเป็นสถานที่แห่งการเรียนรู้ผ่านกิจกรรมทางศิลปะที่สำ�คัญของ ประเทศไทย

In 2013, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) established Education Department to autonomously initiate and promote education-oriented activities, deriving contents from both the main exhibitions held on the 7th - 9th floors and BACC’s own initiatives. “BACC School Program”, by Art Education major, Art, Music and Dance Education Department, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, and Faculty of Education, Art Education Department, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. Another two activities were made possible in collaboration with Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles and Thailand’s Embassy of the United States of America - namely “The Digital Museum: New Technologies and the 21st Century Museum” and “Fun and Games in Monkey Theatre: Thailand - Taiwan Collaboration”, a Taiwan monkey theatre learning activity. In the year 2019, Education Department has launched several initiatives, from the ones that bridge art and present environmental concerns, an approach which has partially been introduced under the ‘JARAS Project’, up to ‘BACC Kid’s Calendar 2019’, a program which invites children and family to do activities together on the same day of each month. Additionally, Education Department also strives to expand their contents of discussion to other areas of interest, particularly issues concerning socially disadvantaged and deprived people, so as to maintain its mission as a role model institution for organizing education - oriented activities with artistic contents. The total number of visitors and participants from both academic institutions and individuals alike as well as the variety of content have continued to grow. This reaffirms that Bangkok Art and Culture Centre will remain a key venue for activity-based art education in Bangkok for the foreseeable future.

12 January 2019 L - 9th floor On Children’s Day, BACC turned its premises into an artistic playground for children to explore diversity through education- oriented activities. The subject of diversity is an expansive and sensitive matter to communicate to children, and has become a key characteristic of the age of multicultural society where cultural communication is enhanced by stateof-the-art technological means. As such, understanding of diversity is integral to the eventual acceptance, respect, and courtesy given towards people of diverse physical characteristics, capabilities, nationalities, languages, food culture, and lines of thought, a goal which BACC perceives can be accomplished through art. In line with this mission, activities therefore primarily involve interpretations of diversity based on different perspectives, which are then translated and communicated through artistic workshops designed to enhance children’ understanding, instil awareness, and encourage further examination of the matter by themselves. 47

1 - 2 June 2019 Multi-Function Room, 1st floor In collaboration with BACC; Art Education major, Art, Music and Dance Education Department, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University; Faculty of Communication Arts, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University; and Art Education Department, Faculty of Education, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, BACC Workshop for Teachers: Museum-based Learning is born out of BACC’s continuous support and organisation of children education for over three years. The program recognised the importance of involving schools and teachers in developing learning materials and approaches based on contents of contemporary art exhibitions. BACC invited schools and teachers to a collaborative academic effort, using BACC’s own available resources to establish and strengthen coordination between academic institutions and learning centre for the development of an effective and sustainable, education society. Developed in conformance to The Basic Education Core Curriculum, BACC hoped for this project and workshop to inspire creativity in teachers, so that the results of this implementation can be used to further shape children’ education and lead to museum-based learning approach which fits the context of education management in the 21st Century.

27 - 28 August, 3 - 5, 10 - 13, 17, 19, 24 - 27 September 2019 Multi-Function Room, 1st floor, and Main Gallery, 8th floor (Figure of Unknown Beauty Art Exhibition) BACC Education Department in collaboration with, Art Education major, Art, Music and Dance Education Department, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University; Faculty of Communication Arts, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University; and Art Education Department, Faculty of Education, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University organised an educational tour to the BACC premises for higher primary students. The program enables them to proactively use exhibition venues as a learning platform to hone their knowledge and skills of art within a suitable environment. In addition, it promotes connection and participation between students and artworks, creates a space for exchanging and expressing opinions, enhances critical thinking, and encourages the students to build upon their knowledge to express creativity and imagination through their artworks in a meaningful and sustainable manner. The year of 2019 marked the 4th iteration for BACC School Program. Through the Figure of Unknown Beauty Art Exhibition, BACC strives to expand and coordinate activity contents with developing social skills based on integrated exhibition contents, and design education-oriented activities that explore the issue of diversity and bullying in school.

กิจกรรมนำ�ชมและคณะเยี่ยมชม BACC Gallery Tour and Group Visiting ห้องนิทรรศการหลัก ชั้น 7 - 9 การน�ำชมนิทรรศการศิลปะเป็นกระบวนการที่เรียบง่ายแต่มี ประสิทธิภาพในการสื่อสารชัดเจน เป็นกิจกรรมที่ช่วยให้ผู้ชมได้รับ ข้อมูลไปพร้อมกับการชมผลงานศิลปะ ผูน้ �ำชมเปรียบเสมือนสือ่ กลาง ระหว่างผลงานศิลปศิลปินและผู้ชม ฝ่ายการศึกษาจึงพยายามสร้าง รูปแบบและสรรหากระบวนการน�ำชมให้ตอบสนองต่อความต้องการ ของผู้ชมในหลากรูปแบบ ภายใต้แนวคิดการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ ความเข้าใจและสร้างทัศนคติที่ดีต่องานศิลปะร่วมสมัย ซึ่งที่ผ่านมา การท�ำงานของเจ้าหน้าที่น�ำชมนิทรรศการเป็นไปด้วยดีและเป็นที่ พึงพอใจต่อผู้ชม การน�ำชมนิทรรศการเป็นปัจจัยส�ำคัญที่ช่วยกระตุ้น ให้เกิดความสนใจ ทั้งยังเป็นการกระตุ้นให้องค์กรด้านการศึกษา บริษัทเอกชน ฯลฯ สนใจ และหันเข้ามาชมนิทรรศการศิลปะ เพิ่มมากขึ้น

Main Galleries, 7th - 9th floors Gallery tour is a simple yet effective way to communicate key messages to viewers as they appreciate works of art. The docent serves as the medium between the works on display, the artists behind them, and the viewers themselves. Recognising this connection, the Education Department arranged various tour and viewing experiences that match a wide variety of audience interests with the ultimate goals of fostering an exchange of knowledge and building a positive attitude towards contemporary art. Throughout these experiences, the docent service have been well received by viewers. ในปี 2562 ห้องสมุดศิลปะได้จัดเตรียมทรัพยากรสารสนเทศด้าน ศิลปะทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ นอกจากนี้ ยังได้จัดซื้อหนังสือ ความรู้ทางด้านพลังงานทางเลือกส�ำหรับให้บริการ เพื่อเผยแพร่ ความรูท้ างด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ทมี่ ปี ระโยชน์ตอ่ การด�ำเนินชีวติ ประจ�ำวัน ซึ่งในปีนี้ทางหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ) ได้รับการสนับสนุนงบประมาณจากกองทุนพัฒนาไฟฟ้า ส�ำนักงานคณะกรรมการก�ำกับกิจการพลังงาน (กกพ.) จ�ำนวน ทรัพยากรสารสนเทศที่จัดซื้อในปีนี้ รวมทั้งหมด 315 เล่ม ในส่วนของการสมัครสมาชิกนิตยสารนั้น ห้องสมุดศิลปะมี นิตยสารให้บริการ ดังนี้ นิตยสารภาษาไทย จ�ำนวน 10 รายชื่อ ได้แก่ บ้านและสวน, เมืองโบราณ, ศิลปวัฒนธรรม, ศิลปากร, สีสัน, สารคดี, อนุสาร อสท., a day, Art4d, National Geographic และนิตยสารภาษาอังกฤษ จ�ำนวน 9 รายชื่อ ได้แก่ Art Asia Pacific, Art in America, ARTFORUM, Dazed & Confused, Rolling Stone, Elle Decoration, Vogue, Forbes และ Times ส่วนการจัดกิจกรรมในปีนี้ ห้องสมุดศิลปะเน้นการประสานความ ร่วมมือร่วมกับหน่วยงานภายนอก โดยได้รับความร่วมมือจากสาขา วรรณกรรมส�ำหรับเด็ก คณะมนุษยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัย ศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ และสถาบันเกอเธ่ ประเทศไทย ในการจัด กิจกรรมนิทานสารพัดนึก และกิจกรรมนิทานคุณหนูและศิลปะ ประดิษฐ์ เป็นต้น ในส่วนการบริการผู้ใช้ห้องสมุดนั้น ห้องสมุดศิลปะให้บริการที่นั่ง อ่านหนังสือส�ำหรับผู้ใช้บริการทุกวัย และให้บริการ Free Wi-Fi และชาร์จไฟส�ำหรับโทรศัพท์มือถือและโน้ตบุ๊ก ในปีนี้มีผู้เข้าใช้บริการห้องสมุดจ�ำนวน 55,501 คน และมีผู้ใช้ บริการอินเทอร์เน็ตและคอมพิวเตอร์ จ�ำนวน 6,277 คน

In 2019, the Art Library presented informative resources on the world of art in both Thai and English. Additional books related to alternative energy have also been acquired to provide visitors with useful scientific knowledge that is relevant to everyday living. This year, the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) received financial support from the Power Development Fund, Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). In total, 315 books were added to the Art Library. For magazine subscriptions, the Art Library continues to subscibe 10 Thai magazines - namely Baan Lae Suan, Muang Boran Journal, Art & Culture, Silpakorn Journal, Season, Sarakadee, Osotho, a day, Art4d, and National Geographic - as well as 9 English magazines - namely Art Asia Pacific, Art in America, ARTFORUM, Dazed & Confused, Rolling Stone, Elle Decoration, Vogue, Forbes, and Times. The Art Library’s activities in 2019 were primarily held under collaboration with external organisations. The Art Library enjoyed support from the Department of Children’s Literature, Faculty of Humanities, Srinakharinwirot University and Goethe-Institut Thailand in organising the ‘All the Tales in the World’ and ‘Children’s Tales and Arts Craft’ activities. The Art Library continues to provide a reading space for visitors of all ages, free Wi-Fi and charging spots for mobile phones and laptops are also available. A total of 55,501 visitors utilized the services of the Art Library in 2019, with 6,277 engaging with internet and computer services.

ฝ่ายกิจกรรมเครือข่าย หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ) ยังคงบทบาทสำ�คัญในการทำ�หน้าที่หนุนเสริม ให้หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ เป็นแหล่งแลกเปลีย่ นเรียนรูท้ โ่ี ดดเด่นและสำ�คัญ ของเมือง ผ่านการประสานงาน ควบคุมดูแล ทั้งนิทรรศการศิลปะ กิจกรรมดนตรี ละคร ภาพยนตร์ วรรณกรรม ศิลปะแสดงสด ฯลฯ เป็นการสนับสนุนหน่วยงานองค์กร ภาคีเครือข่าย และศิลปินสาขา ต่างๆ ให้สามารถใช้ประโยชน์จากพื้นที่ของอาคารหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ได้อย่างเต็มประสิทธิภาพ ซึง่ ตลอดปี 2562 ฝ่ายกิจกรรมเครือข่ายได้ จัดกิจกรรมและมีส่วนสนับสนุนให้เกิดกิจกรรมทางศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่ มีคุณภาพและสร้างสรรค์ เป็นจำ�นวนรวม 395 กิจกรรม

Arts Network Department has maintained a crucial role of supporting Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) to become an outstanding and important learning hub of the city by coordinating and supervising exhibitions, activities, drama, films, literature, performance, etc. This is a way of advocating other organisations, networks and artists of different disciplines to utilize BACC‘s spaces efficiently. Throughout 2019, Arts Network Department had initiated and supported 395 cultural and creative activities in total.

โครงการ “อุดมการณ์ไม่แปรผัน ไกรศักดิ์ ชุณหะวัณ 72 ปี” The Unwavering Ideal KRAISAK CHOONHAVAN 72 years โดย หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ร่วมกับมูลนิธิผสานวัฒนธรรม มูลนิธิศิลป วัฒนธรรมเพื่อประชาชน และ Cinema Oasis 13 - 21 สิงหาคม 2562 ผนังโค้ง ชั้น 3 - 4 และห้องอเนกประสงค์ ชั้น 1 กิจกรรมเพื่อแสดงมุทิตาจิต เชิดชูเกียรติ และเผยแพร่ผลงานด้าน ศิลปะ เนื่องในวาระครบรอบ 72 ปี ของอาจารย์ไกรศักดิ์ ชุณหะวัณ ในฐานะผู้มีส่วนสำ�คัญในการก่อตั้งหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯและมีคุณูปการ ต่อสังคมไทยมากมาย โครงการประกอบด้วยกิจกรรมหลากหลาย ทั้งนิทรรศการศิลปะ “ฝันถึงท้องฟ้า” กิจกรรมเสวนา “ไกรศักดิ์กับ สิทธิมนุษยชน, สิ่งแวดล้อม สัตว์ป่า ธรรมชาติ การเมืองและศิลปะ” นอกจากนี้ ยังมีรายการดนตรี “จากพี่น้องผองเพื่อน ส่งกำ�ลังใจให้ ไกรศักดิ์” จัดแสดงต่อเนื่อง

By BACC, Cross Cultural Foundation, People’s Art and Culture Foundation and Cinema Oasis 13 - 21 August 2019 Curved Wall, 3rd - 4th floor and Multi-Function Room, 1st floor Bangkok Art and Culture Centre together with alliance, held an exhibition and activities to honor and celebrate Kraisak Choonhavan’s 72nd birthday. Kraisak is a key contributor to the founding of BACC, and has contributed in many aspects to the Thai society. This project includes “Imagine the Sky” art exhibition, “Kraisak on Human Rights, Environment, Wildlife, Nature and Politics” seminar, and “Encouragement from friends to Kraisak” regular music program.

กิจกรรมเวทีสาธารณะ “พรรคการเมืองกับนโยบายศิลปวัฒนธรรม” Public Forum: Political Parties on Art and Culture Policies

โดย หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ร่วมกับมูลนิธิศิลปวัฒนธรรมภาคประชาชน 16 กุมภาพันธ์ 2562 ห้องอเนกประสงค์ ชั้น 1 เมื่อรัฐบาลก�ำหนดให้มีการเลือกตั้งใหญ่ครั้งใหม่ (24 มีนาคม 2562) หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ในฐานะองค์กรที่ด�ำเนินงานด้านศิลป วัฒนธรรม ได้จัดเวทีสาธารณะ เชิญตัวแทนพรรคการเมืองมา น�ำเสนอแนวคิดและนโยบายด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมอันจะเป็นประโยชน์ ต่อประชาชนในการเป็นข้อมูลประกอบการตัดสินใจและเป็นดั่งเวที แห่ง “สัญญาประชาคม” ที่จะใช้ส�ำหรับทวงถาม ติดตามการท�ำงาน ของบรรดาตัวแทนประชาชน เมื่อท่านเหล่านั้นเข้าสู่อ�ำนาจรัฐหรือไป มีบทบาทในสภาฯ กิจกรรมเวทีสาธารณะครั้งนี้ได้รับความร่วมมือ จากพรรคการเมืองแถวหน้าของไทย จ�ำนวน 10 พรรคส่งตัวแทน เข้าร่วมเวทีและมีประชาชนผูม้ สี ทิ ธิเ์ ลือกตัง้ เข้าร่วมมากกว่า 200 คน By BACC and Civic Art and Culture Promotion Foundation 16 February 2019 Multi-Function Room, 1st floor When the government announced the big election on 24th March 2019, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, as a leading organisation on art and culture, held a public forum inviting political parties to present their ideas on art and culture policies which is beneficial for the public to make informed decision, and function as social contract when these representatives enter the governmental system. This public forum welcomed representatives from 10 leading political parties and more than 200 voters.

2 - 28 เมษายน 2562 ห้องสตูดิโอ ชั้น 4 นิทรรศการศิลปะแสดงผลงาน อาจารย์ชว่ ง มูลพินจิ ศิลปินแห่งชาติ สาขาทัศนศิลป์ปี 2556 โดยมีผลงานจิตรกรรมและประติมากรรม นำ�มาจัดแสดงกว่า 60 ชิ้น ได้รับความสนใจจากผู้รักศิลปะและผู้ที่ ติดตามผลงานของ อาจารย์ชว่ ง มูลพินิจ อย่างล้นหลาม 2 - 28 April 2019 Studio, 4th floor Art exhibition by Chuang Moolpinit, Thailand’s top national artist for Visual Arts, 2013 with more than 60 artworks both paintings and sculptures. The exhibition gained overwhelming interest from both art enthusiasts and Chuang’s admirers.

โดย สถาบันเกอเธ่ ประเทศไทย ร่วมกับศิลปินไทย วศินบุรี สุพานิชวรภาชน์ และศิลปินชาวเยอรมัน สเตฟานี แฮริง 8 - 30 มีนาคม 2562 ห้องสตูดิโอ ชั้น 4 ซีรี่ส์ผลงานเซรามิกขนาดอลังการที่มีความสูงถึง 2 เมตร ซึ่งเป็น งานทำ�ด้วยมือของสเตฟานี แฮริง โดยได้โรงงานเซรามิกของวศินบุรี สุพานิชย์วรภาชน์ ที่จังหวัดราชบุรีเป็นสถานที่ผลิตผลงาน วศินบุรี ได้บันทึกภาพกระบวนการงานสร้างเซรามิกเลิศฝีมือของสเตฟานี ที่โรงงานในไทย และยังได้เดินทางไปถ่ายทำ�สารคดีในโรงเซรามิก ของสเตฟานีทเ่ี ยอรมนี อันเป็นสถานทีก่ �ำ เนิดแบบร่างชิน้ งาน นิทรรศการนีเ้ ชิญชวนให้ผชู้ มได้เข้ามาสำ�รวจลักษณะเฉพาะทีซ่ อ่ นอยู่ ในผลงาน รวมทั้งความคล้ายคลึงอันน่าทึ่งที่ทั้งสองวัฒนธรรม มีร่วมกัน By Goethe-Institut Thailand in cooperation with Wasinburee Supanichvoraparch and Stefanie Hering 8 - 30 March 2019 Studio, 4th floor The exhibition showcases series of ceramic porcelains up to 2 meters in height, hand - crafted by Stefanie Hering at Wasinburee’s ceramic workshop in Ratchaburi. Wasinburee captured the artistic manufacturing process on-site in Thailand and also filmed in Stefanie Hering’s workshop in Germany where the first sketches came into being. This exhibition opens a dialogue between the two cultures and invites the viewers to examine their unique characteristics as well as the surprising similarities. 70

By Japan Foundation, Bangkok, co-curated by Tentacles and Daisuke Takeya 9 April - 5 May 2019 Curved Wall, 3rd - 5th floor This project is a traveling art exhibition that explores about environment, natural disasters and other topics in Asia in recent years. The works of art in the project, created by over a hundred international artists are transformed into Randoseru, Japanese elementary school backpacks. Each Randoseru, as a metaphor of learning and growing filled with childhood memories, is a solo exhibit that is mobile and interacts with local community at each destination, creating multiple layers of new meanings.

โดย สถานเอกอัครราชทูตเม็กซิโก 15 - 20 ตุลาคม 2562 ผนังโค้ง ชั้น 3 - 4 นิทรรศการแลกเปลี่ยนภาพพิมพ์ไทย - เม็กซิโก ครั้งแรกนี้ คัดเลือกผลงานโดยคณะกรรมการชาวไทย นำ�โดย ปิยทัต เหมทัต ได้คัดเลือกภาพพิมพ์ของศิลปินชาวเม็กซิโก และคณะกรรมการชาว เม็กซิโก นำ�โดย Francisco Limon เจ้าของและผู้ก่อตั้งหอศิลป์ La Maquina Workshop ในประเทศเม็กซิโก ได้คัดเลือกภาพพิมพ์ ของศิลปินชาวไทย จำ�นวน 30 ภาพต่อประเทศ ผลที่ได้คือผลงาน ภาพพิมพ์อนั มีเอกลักษณ์จ�ำ นวน 60 ภาพทีส่ อ่ื สารโต้ตอบซึง่ กันและกัน ได้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ และสามารถนำ�เสนอบทสนทนาอันหลากหลาย และเต็มไปด้วยความหมายระหว่างศิลปินทั้งสองวัฒนธรรม By the Embassy of Mexico 15 - 20 October 2019 Curved Wall , 3rd - 4th floor This first Mexico - Thailand Printmaking Exchange Project is curated by professional curator teams under the lead of Piyatat Hemmatat and Francisco Limon, founder of La Maquina Workshop in Mexico who selected 30 Mexican and 30 Thai artworks respectively. The result is an authentic showcase of 60 printmaking artworks that interact in a spontaneous way and offer a window to a very crosscutting, diverse and meaningful dialogue between Mexican and Thai artists.

The fantastic world of Mariya’s images is a unique artistic combination, a cultural phenomenon that mixes the traditions of folk art with personal talent and imagery. The surrealistic motif of her art tells that Mariya didn’t only lead the artist ahead of her time, but also created a separated reality - unbelievable, wonderful and profound.

พีเพิ่ลส์แกลเลอรี่ People’s Gallery โครงการพีเพิ่ลส์แกลเลอรี่เปิดด�ำเนินการมาตั้งแต่ปี 2555 และได้ กลายเป็นพื้นที่ส�ำคัญในการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนศิลปินรุ่นใหม่และ ศิลปินอาชีพของไทย หลากหลายศิลปินและกลุ่มคนท�ำงานศิลปะได้ มาน�ำเสนอผลงานสร้างสรรค์โดยอิสระ ส่งต่อแรงบันดาลใจโดยไม่มี ค่าใช้จ่าย ปี 2562 พีเพิ่ลส์แกลเลอรี่ได้น�ำเสนอผลงานรวมทั้งสิ้น 25 นิทรรศการ โดยมียอดผู้เข้าเยี่ยมชมรวม 205,368 คน People’s Gallery had commenced from 2012 to fulfill Bangkok Art and Culture Centre’s objective in promoting and supporting young artist and professional Thai artist to independently exhibit their artworks without any expenses. In 2019, People’s Gallery Project had displayed 25 exhibitions and welcomed 205,368 public audiences.

Asia Culture Network Meeting 2019 at the Asia Culture Institute and collaboration with the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, South Korea

Participants: Suebsang Sangwachirapiban, Head of Exhibition Department and Vasita Jirathiyut, Arts Network officer 22 - 26 October 2019, Gwangju and Seoul, South Korea Objectives: To establish a network of collaboration between Asia-based art and culture organisations and open up venues for the discussion and exchange of opinions, perspectives, and further partnerships in the future. ACI intends to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with BACC to pave the way for further work together under activities and programmes such as residency and exchange programmes as well as exchanges of knowledge, informational updates, and a database of Thai artists. In addition to the BACC, four other art and culture organisations - including Asia Culture Institute (ACI, South Korea), Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC, Hong Kong), Istana Budaya (Malaysia), and Knowledge Capital (Japan) participated in the meeting. The delegation visited the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in Seoul to inspect its operations and establish a partnership involving information on up-and-coming Thai artists for the Young Asia Artists exhibition, which will be held here in 2021.

เนื่องด้วยในช่วงปี 2562 นั้นมีวิกฤตการณ์ด้านฝุ่นละอองเกิดขึ้น หลายพื้นที่ในประเทศไทย รวมทั้งพื้นที่ของกรุงเทพมหานคร หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ) มีความ ห่วงใยและตระหนักถึงปัญหาดังกล่าวซึ่งอาจส่งผลกระทบกับสุขภาพ ของทุกๆ คน จึงได้ส่งทีมรักษาความสะอาดเข้าอบรมการท�ำภาชนะ ส�ำหรับปลูกต้นพลูด่างกับสมาคมสร้างสรรค์ไทย (ตาวิเศษ) โดยน�ำ วัสดุขวดนมที่ใช้แล้ว มาประดิษฐ์เป็นกระถางส�ำหรับใส่ต้นพลูด่าง ภายในห้องน�้ำของอาคารเพื่อช่วยฟอกอากาศ ซึ่งต้นพลูด่างมี คุณสมบัตสิ ามารถช่วยดูดสารพิษจ�ำพวกแอมโมเนีย ซึง่ มักพบว่ามีมาก ในห้องน�้ำหรือส�ำนักงานที่มีเครื่องถ่ายเอกสารหรือเครื่องพิมพ์เขียว และต้นพลูด่างยังมีคุณสมบัติในการปล่อยความชื้นออกมาให้อากาศ ไม่แห้งจนเกินไป สามารถช่วยลดก๊าซคาร์บอนมอนอกไซด์ได้ถึง 75% เมื่อเวลาผ่านไป 24 ชั่วโมง

งานด้านความปลอดภัย ได้ด�ำเนินการดังต่อไปนี้

จัดอบรมเรื่องการดับเพลิงเบื้องต้น และการซ้อมอพยพหนีไฟ ประจ�ำปี ซึ่งมีความส�ำคัญ และจ�ำเป็นที่ทุกคนควรจะต้องเรียนรู้วิธี การต่างๆ เพือ่ จะได้ปฏิบตั ติ วั ได้ถกู ต้อง ซึง่ จะสามารถลดการสูญเสีย ชีวิตและทรัพย์สินเมื่อเกิดเหตุ เปลี่ยนยางชะลอความเร็วจากของเดิมที่เสื่อมสภาพ เพื่อให้มี ประสิทธิภาพในการบริหารการจราจรภายในอาคาร ในการลด ความเร็วของยานพาหนะ เพื่อลดการเกิดอุบัติเหตุภายในอาคาร เปลี่ยนกล้องวงจรปิดแทนของเดิมที่ช�ำรุด เพื่อให้สามารถบันทึก เหตุการณ์ต่างๆ ไว้ส�ำหรับตรวจสอบและสามารถใช้เป็นหลักฐานใน การจับผู้กระท�ำความผิด เปลี่ยนจอส�ำหรับดูภาพจากกล้องวงจรปิดแทนของเดิมที่ช�ำรุด เปลี่ยนอุปกรณ์จอคอมพิวเตอร์และเครื่องบันทึกภาพ DVR รวมทั้งอุปกรณ์ประมวลผล CPU ที่ป้อมรับบัตรจอดรถบริเวณ ทางออกอาคารแทนของเดิมที่ช�ำรุด เปลี่ยนอุปกรณ์แผงควบคุมการท�ำงานหลักของลิฟต์โดยสารซึ่งให้ บริการจากชั้น B2 ถึง ชั้น 5 และลิฟต์โดยสารที่ให้บริการจากชั้น 5 ถึงชัน้ 9 ทัง้ สองตัว เพือ่ สามารถให้บริการได้ตามปกติและปลอดภัย เสริมเหล็กฉากฝาครอบรางระบายน�้ำบริเวณลานด้านหน้าอาคาร เพื่อรองรับฝาครอบรางระบายน�้ำให้แข็งแรงขึ้น สามารถรองรับการ ใช้งานที่หลากหลาย และความปลอดภัยต่อผู้ใช้บริการ

งานด้านการปรับปรุงพื้นที่และอุปกรณ์ต่างๆ ได้แก่

ห้องออดิทอเรียม ชั้น 5 ด�ำเนินการเปลี่ยนโปรเจคเตอร์ของเดิม ที่เสื่อมสภาพตามอายุการใช้งานเพื่อรองรับงานฉายภาพยนตร์และ รองรับกิจกรรมอื่นๆ อีกทั้งยังได้ท�ำการปรับปรุงช่องลมแอร์ที่มี ปัญหาเสียงรบกวน เพื่อรองรับกิจกรรมที่ต้องการความเงียบ ห้องหม้อแปลงไฟฟ้า ชั้น L ด�ำเนินการเปลี่ยนอุปกรณ์ Magnetic ที่เสื่อมสภาพให้สามารถท�ำงานได้อย่างเต็มประสิทธิภาพ เพื่อลด การสูญเสียก�ำลังงานในระบบการจ่ายไฟฟ้า ห้องเพื่อนหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ (Friends of bacc) ชั้น 6 ติดตั้งผ้า ม่านสีด�ำทึบทั้งห้อง ซึ่งสามารถควบคุมแสงสว่างของห้องเพื่อรองรับ กิจกรรมที่หลากหลายมากขึ้น หลังคาสามเหลี่ยมบนอาคาร ท�ำการยาแนวเพื่อป้องกันน�้ำรั่วซึม เข้ามาภายในอาคารและชั้นนิทรรศการ กระจกกันตกตามจุดต่างๆ ท�ำการเปลี่ยนกระจก ในจุดต่างๆ ที่ เกิดความเสียหาย จ�ำนวนทั้งสิ้น 8 บาน

งานด้านการบ�ำรุงรักษาระบบต่างๆ ได้แก่

ระบบหอกระจายน�้ำเย็น Cooling Tower ได้ด�ำเนินการปรับปรุง ปรับเปลี่ยนโครงสร้างเป็นวัสดุที่แข็งแรง ทนต่อสารเคมีมากขึ้น และซ่อมบ�ำรุงให้สามารถท�ำงานได้เป็นปกติ ระบบเครื่องท�ำน�้ำเย็น Chiller ท�ำการบ�ำรุงรักษา (Over haul ) เพื่อให้ระบบเครื่องท�ำน�้ำเย็น มีประสิทธิภาพการท�ำงานได้มากที่สุด และบ�ำรุงรักษาตามวาระปกติทั้งปี ระบบปัม๊ สูบน�ำ้ (ปัม๊ น�ำ้ ดี, ปัม๊ น�ำ้ เสริมแรงดัน, ปัม๊ สูบน�ำ้ บ่อบ�ำบัด) ได้ด�ำเนินการปรับปรุง ปรับเปลี่ยน และบ�ำรุงรักษาตามวาระปกติ ทั้งปี ระบบสุขาภิบาล ท�ำการปรับปรุง ซ่อมแซม และเปลี่ยนอุปกรณ์ ที่เสื่อมสภาพ ช�ำรุด ในห้องน�้ำทุกห้อง เพื่อให้สามารถให้บริการ

นอกจากนี้ ได้มีการรณรงค์ให้ผู้ใช้บริการทุกท่านใช้บันไดแทนการ ใช้ลิฟท์ เพื่อจะได้ส�ำรองลิฟท์ไว้ส�ำหรับผู้ที่มีความจ�ำเป็นต้องใช้งาน เช่น ผู้สูงวัย ผู้ที่ใช้รถวีลแชร์ และรถเข็นเด็ก เป็นต้น รวมทั้งยัง เป็นการช่วยยืดอายุการใช้งานลิฟท์อีกด้วย

Sanitation and Environmental work

The fact that in 2019 there was a dust crisis in many areas within Thailand, including Bangkok, caused concern at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center (BACC), and we consequently gave consideration to these problems as liable to affect everyone’s health. The Sanitation Department trained with the Thai Creative Association (Magic Eyes) in making containers out of used milk bottles for growing devil’s ivy, then planting it in these containers to cleanse the air in facility bathrooms. Devil’s ivy has qualities enabling it to absorb ammonia-related toxic substances often found in bathrooms or workplaces with copiers or blueprint machines. It also releases moisture into the air to relieve dryness, and can help reduce carbonmonoxide by 75% within 24 hours.

Safety Work - Conducted the following operations:

High importance was given to organising training in basic firefighting and annual fire drills, and it was required for everyone to study the correct ways to conduct themselves to reduce loss of life and property in emergencies. Replaced deteriorated rubber speed strips for efficiency in managing traffic within the building, slowing the speed of vehicles to reduce the incidence of accidents. Replaced worn-out closed-circuit TV cameras, enhancing the abililty to record various incidents for investigation and obtain evidence for arresting offenders. Replaced worn-out closed-circuit TV viewing screens so officials could view images as usual. Replaced worn-out computer monitor and DVR recorder, as well as a CPU processor in the parking ticket box near the exit, so they would work as normal. Changed both main passenger lift control panels servicing floors B2 to 5 and floors 5 to 9, in order to provide normal and safe service to visitors coming to view our works. Installed steel reinforcements to drainage gutters in the front of the facility, strengthening drain covers to support more uses and for user safety.

Improvements to property and equipment, as follows:

5th floor Auditorium: To support movies and other activities, replaced the old projector, which had deteriorated with age, as well as upgraded air conditioning conduits which were annoyingly noisy during activities requiring quiet. Transformer room, floor L: Switched out deteriorated transformer magnets so they could work at full capacity, to reduce power loss in the electricity distribution system. Friends of bacc room, 6th floor: Installed black curtains in the entire room, enabling control of the light in the room in support of a wider variety of activities. The triangular roof on the building was grouted to prevent water leaking into the building and on exhibitions. Anti-fall glass in various places: 8 panes of glass were replaced in places that had been damaged, returning conditions to normal.

Various systems maintenance tasks, as listed here:

Cooling tower water distribution system: made improvements. Rebuilt the structure using strong, more chemical-resistant materials, giving it capability to function normally. Water chiller: performed a complete overhaul to get the highest possible operating efficiency and maintain normal operations the entire year. Water pumping system (clean water pump, pressure booster pump, septic tank pump): made improvements and alterations and performed usual scheduled maintenance the entire year. Sanitation system: made improvements and repairs in all restrooms, changing equipment that had deteriorated or was in disrepair so as to provide normal service. Additionally, there was a campaign to get all persons using our services to use stairs instead of the lift in order to reserve it for those who truly need it, such as the elderly and people using wheelchairs and baby carriages. Such limited usage also helps extend the lift’s useful life and reduces the cost of lift repairs. 83

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) operates BACC’s souvenir shop on the 5th floor and remains committed to offering high-quality products that build upon and express connections with exhibitions held at BACC. The products carry practical purposes, namely books, exhibition catalogues, posters, stationery, small souvenirs, fashion products, household items and fashion accessories - all of which serve as another way for the public to engage with art. The shop allows product designers to display and distribute art and culture products to BACC visitors, offering another channel to promote products and increase economic value. In the future, more distribution channels will be established to facilitate its visitors.

อศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร เป็นสถานที่แห่งความภาคภูมิใจของ ผู้รักศิลปะ เราผ่านการรณรงค์ร่วมแรง ร่วมใจของเครือข่ายศิลปิน และคนรักศิลปะ ตั้งแต่ปี 2540 จนได้เปิดบริการสู่สาธารณะ เมื่อวันที่ 29 กรกฎาคม 2551 และมีพิธีเปิด อย่างเป็นทางการ เมื่อวันที่ 19 สิงหาคม 2552 อาคารอันงดงาม ณ สี่แยกปทุมวัน แห่งนี้ เป็น แหล่งเรียนรู้ทางศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย สร้าง แรงบันดาลใจและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ เราอยู่ใน ความดูแลขององค์กรอิสระอย่างมูลนิธิหอศิลป วัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ด้วยการจัดตั้ง และสนับสนุนหลักจากกรุงเทพมหานคร Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is truly the place for art lovers. Our establishment came from the devotion of the network of artists who had patiently proposed this project forward since 1997 until it was finally approved and opened on 29 July 2008 and officially opened on 19 August 2009. This beautiful monumental building at Pathumwan intersection is a learning centre for modern and contemporary arts as well as a place of sparking inspirational creativity. The centre is now under the supervision of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation with establishment and tremendous support by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
